Hi there, i have backup plugin installed i configured the path but i click save and no file on location. How it works? I had to moove the server 3 times and had to reconfigure everything...

i think the [album]artist page is an 'ography' page which has a good default sort order. (Date descending) I like seeing most recent work first, and in release order when looking an artists discography or authors bibliography. It is more obvious to appreciate the persons body of work and i'm more likely to be interested in the more recent stuff. wish it was the same for person (filmography)

for my test I reloaded the images (.jpg). Which was at 05/29/2024 17:40. The next morning at 05/30/2024 0610 I checked and the images I loaded were still there. I then watched an episode of the tv series. AFTER the episode was over i checked and the images were missing. I have attached the log file. embyserver.txt

That is simply reading the track title - that could have been put there from anywhere. Only if it shows these details on the 'mediaInfo' can we be sure that emby has extracted this data (which can then be used for filters etc).

Ah thanks - this was released a few days ago and I haven't yet used this release. I haven't seen any updates to the Server (I'm using the Stable Release) so I'm presuming this detection is being done in the client. I'll test shortly but a clear way to confirm is to see what's being reported in the item metadata - unless that contains the Atmos/DTS:X etc details - then we can be sure it's the client doing it.

I've noticed that about 10% of my recordings never launch. In the latest example, the French Open was supposed to start recording at 5:00AM this morning, but didn't. I'm attaching the relevant logs. Strangely there's nothing in the logs regarding this recording, but when I came down at 6:00AM I could still see "2024 Roland-Garros Tennis" listed in the recording schedule for 5AM to 1PM. embyserver.txt embyserver-63852641100.txt

When I press ff/reverse on the remote the UI appear and the time slider have the focus (the dot is present). If I go up then the CC icon get the focus. And if I go down the "Info" page appear. So the focus is on the time slider.

Android TV beta client 2.1.14g now displays “TrueHD Atmos” (although EAC/DD+ Atmos doesn’t seem to work). The release notes say “Improve Atmos Display”. On the web client if I do a drop down for the audio tracks of a DTS-X rip It says English DTS-HD MA 7.1 in big letters, in small right under it says “DTS:X 7.1”. I am not using the Media Info plugin as it will not work with my Unraid Emby server.

Well, I can see the music, but get a playback error when trying to play it.. Affecting all music. I guess I jumped the gun. server: 4.8.7.0 emby for iOS: 2.2.21 EDIT: I changed download location to “on this phone” and made a folder for Emby and now I can play music.

It's certainly not meant to be annoying, but is there any movement on the matter? Alternatively, I'll have to put up with the English titles, which is fine.

Do you use native mode? Also Kodi does not support movies assigned to multiple collections. Is this the case? Which plugin version do you use?

Where are you seeing this ? - as unless Emby has updated to the latest ffmpeg (which I don't believe they have) then audio object based information (DTS:X, Atmos etc) is not detected. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ should be detected (but I don't believe it 'tags' it?) Maybe you are using the MediaInfo Plugin - in which case this is where the extra information is coming from and this also allows you the option to add those attributes as emby 'tags'.

I have exactly the same issue on one of my clients - it's a 4K HDR capable player (it's an Amazon Cube) but it's attached to a 1080p SDR TV. Thus it direct plays 4K just fine - but does not tone map as you say, so I need to force it by limiting the bitrate on the client below the 'norm' for 4K. Not ideal. I've tried setting the Amazon Cube 'display' to 1080p non-HDR, but it doesn't appear to make any difference to emby, it still sees it as a 4K capable device. Maybe emby needs to read the 'display settings' on the device as opposed to the 'full capabilities' on the device - I'm not seven sure if that is possible ?

Yes rbjtech infact when i unistall during test app Emby TV after login again the list of "Suggestions movie" change, but after this no more. Therefore little development would be needed to make this work Regarding your previous post I understand what you're saying, but I can confirm that being in the NVidia Sheild development and testing group, these channels will never be removed and/or disabled as apps like Netflix exploit it a lot and use it as a plus on Android TV. I therefore hope that you can rework it and improve it... thank you Hispa

This is indeed great news - I'm looking forward to this I hope we get an API interface as part of the new feature set - allowing us to create our own dynamic smartlists via plugins/scripts and display the results as home screen rows - this will be a real game changer imo.

Interesting. For Clash of the Titans I appended the folder name, triple checked I got it right, refreshed metadata/rescanned but that didn't work. Then reverted the folder name, appended the file name instead, refreshed metadata/rescanned and it now correctly identifies it. But just now I appended the imdb ID to both the file name and folder name of the 2 Star Wars movies I'm having issues with, triple checked I got them right, refreshed metadata/rescanned and that didn't work: Any ideas how I can search "Star Wars" and have all 3 movies pop up? Right now searching "Star Wars" only brings up the 4th episode. I have to search "The Empire Strikes Back" For the 5th movie to pop up, and search "Return of the Jedi" for the 6th to pop up: I'd rather not change things with Emby's metadata manager as I'm sure when I upgrade my Mac Mini or need to reimport my library for some reason I'll forget lol.

ok - There appears to be conflicting views here ? @ebrJust to confirm as I tested it yesterday on my Shield Pro - yes, the last users 'row' is Refreshed every time I switch users and then listed in the 'Suggestions' row. So I guess the actual Refresh is done when you Authenticate. So @Hispanico957- does the list Refresh if you logout and back in again - assuming you just have a single user ?

A feature like this would suit my use case well. I'd like to keep track of movies I've watched and deleted. My semi-annual scenario goes like this: 1. I get a movie that sounds good to me (a 50's film-noir, for example), upload it to Emby. 2. Watch the movie, and decide I probably won't watch it again, so delete it. 3. Years go by.. 4. Come across a fun-sounding 50's film noir (I've never heard of it...or so I think), upload it to Emby. 5. Sit down to watch it, only to discover that I have watched it at some point in the distant past (30+ minutes in). First, it sucks to get old, and not be able to remember yesterday Second, I could/should track this kind of thing somewhere...but it would be nice if Emby had the option to add a DB flag of "deleted" or something and never show those rows in the existing UI. It'd be lovely to then be able to query that via the API. (I already query Emby via API to see if I've already uploaded something prior to going through the trouble.) In short, when a user deletes a Movie, delete all traces of it except the DB row, which get flagged as "deleted", preventing it from showing up in the UI.
