I'm trying to set up an onn 4k Pro Android box with the Emby docker on my unRAID server. I keep trying to login but the password I use just connects me to the Emby forum. I have selected the Forgot Password link numerous times and it transmits a file to the cache drive on my server with a link to a website and a PIN number. I have never been able to connect to the website it links me to because my browser keeps timing out. I have tried four different browsers with the same result, both with my VPN turned on and off. Every time I think I have everything set up I try to connect both manually or using Emby Connect and it just keeps going in a loop back to the start screen. I go through this scenario every time I try to configure a new box and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. It shouldn't be this hard to set up. I've set this up with multiple Shields and a Roku and always have an issue trying to connect to the server each and every time. I can't even connect to it on my PC now.

Okay, I lied (above)!! The VERY FIRST SONG (alphabetically)! "(Sittin On) The Dock Of The Bay (Otis Redding).mp3" is **NOT** (obviously) "Blue-Eyed Soul!" The only song in that folder that has that genre is "Cry Like A Baby (The Box Tops).mp3". Sorry for the confusion! Only if you sorted all the songs by genre would that have come out "First".

Is it possible to get PlayCount information per TV series via API? I've been trying to extract it with no luck but what I've tried is getting PlayCount per TV series and also PlayCount per TV series per individual user but ideally I'd want aggregated counts. I've looked into the API documentation but I always get PlayCount: 0.

@tekni63in general, when using Docker, your storage should be outside of container. In this case, Emby database. Container itself should be considered disposable.

Hey, I was traveling from my winter home back to Oregon for the last few weeks and finally had a chance to get back to this. I uninstalled my Emby server on Windows 10 (4.7.x.x IIRC). Then I clicked on the "Beta Channel" shown above. I ran the "setup.exe" and ended up with 4.9 according to the "Add/Remove" page. However, on the Dashboard page it shows version 4.8.7.0. I tried shuffling "Blue-Eyed Soul" and, while there are a lot of songs that ARE in that genre, there are about 10-20% that are not. First song was "Classic Pop" and another was "Classic Rock". Oddly, each and every "wrong" genre were from the same collection I have -- a Top 100 batch of Songs from 1968, all in the same Windows folder. There is a total of four different genres in those songs: one song **IS** "Blue-Eyed Soul", 45 songs are "Classic Pop", nine are "Classic Rock", and 11 are "R&B & Soul". Potentially important to note, that the one "Blue-Eyed Soul" song is the VERY FIRST SONG (alphabetically)! "(Sittin On) The Dock Of The Bay (Otis Redding).mp3" One question about removing the old version - There were some checkboxes asking, basically, how much to remove when I uninstalled the old EMBY server. I didn't check any of them thinking I wanted my config data left intact. Should I have completely removed any trace of the old before installing the new? Thanks!

I think it's an image that emby pull from internet (musicbrainz ... or other) but why emby don't pull the image corresponding to the musicbrainz id album.... That's the question and why he can't copy the image you give to the album to the songs of this album ?

Wait.. just realized this may be related to playlists created before 4.8. Need to do some testing.

Adding an image from the web application. As you can see, no "by Date Added" in the sort menu (however, there is still "release date" which is not useful).

All of my TV shows are located in the folders listed and structure follows after the "TV Shows" folder: S:\Data\Media\Videos\TV Shows\1883\Season 1\1883_S01E01_1883.mp4 Thanks for any help! Chuck

My first guess is that you have a non-recommended file layout/naming scheme which used to work, but has now failed after a change to support something else. But if you show us your file structure/naming we can see if I'm wrong... Paul

Sorry to see you are having the same issue but glad I am not the only one seeing the issue. Maybe more can reply to this and get the attention of developers.

I'm trying to configure Emby on a onn 4k Pro Android streaming box but when I try to connect to the server it's not accepting my user name and password. I've tried to connect manually to the server and it still won't allow me to connect. I go through this every time I try to set up a device in Emby and it drives me nuts. I don't recall if I set up a PIN to access the server or what. I've changed the password but all it does is connect me to the Emby website. I have a direct link to the server saved in my bookmarks but I think I've screwed up the login credentials. Any help would be appreciated.

For a while Emby has been using its own grouping of the above Album Artist, Artist and Composer to define an "Artist" for all the views in "Emby Music". While that maybe was the best option a couple of years ago. Now it seems more arbitrary and more of a bug than a feature. My Music Library is visually displayed well by Emby, But when you look at the Details the grouping makes it appear "wrong", and makes the artist view almost impossible to just play or shuffle tracks that an Artist was physically present and performed on. So Please Fix this for the next release. As sadly just a "Customer", anything else again seems more arbitrary vs any variety of explanations. -vicpa

El problema que tengo que por ejemplo pongo la series completa de Dragon ball en una carpeta solo puesto con el numero por capitulo de 1 al 153 y no se ven por orden ni lo identifica. No se puede poner de alguna forma aunque no identifique el video y que se vea con el titulo puesto del video, para asi poder verlo en orde y no me mezcle con la otra saga de dragon ball Z

Bonjour, je vais tenter de vous expliquer exactement mon problème. L'application Emby a été configurée pour écouter des émissions, films, spectacles, etc... en français. Présentement, lorsque je regarde des émissions qui ont été traduit en français, il n'y a pas de son mais j'ai l'image. Sauf si je regarde une émission ou un film produit en France. Mais si j'ai une possibilité de changer la langue pour mettre le tout en anglais, alors j'ai le son. Comme je vous disais dans mon premier message, j'ai de 2 types de décodeur pour écouter la télévision IP. Deux Formuler Pro et un Sword. Quand je regarde la télévision IP avec ces deux types de décodeur je n'ai pas ce problème. Le problème que j'ai décrit plus haut est uniquement quand je regarde EMBY en passant par le décodeur SWORD. Je ne rencontre pas ce problème avec le décodeur FORMULER PRO. Mon fournisseur de l'application EMBY croit que ce serait un problème de zonage entre l'Europe et l'Amérique. Avec les décodeurs FORMULER PRO, j'ai installé l'application AUDIO OPTIMIZER pour être en mesure de pouvoir écouter EMBY. J'aimerais savoir s'il existe une application AUDIO qui m'aiderai pour écouter EMBY mais sur le décodeur SWORD. Je dois vous dire que même mon fournisseur de télévision IP comprend pas pourquoi cela ne fonctionne pas bien. Merci pour votre aide. Hello, I will try to explain exactly my problem. The Emby application has been configured to listen to programs, movies, shows, etc... in French. Currently, when I watch programs that have been translated into French, there is no sound but I have the image. Unless I watch a show or a film produced in France. But if I have a possibility to change the language to put everything in English, then I have the sound. As I said in my first message, I have 2 types of decoder to listen to IP television. Two Formuler Pro and a Sword. When I watch IP TV with these two types of decoder I do not have this problem. The problem I described above is only when I watch EMBY through the SWORD decoder. I don’t have this problem with the FORMULER PRO decoder. My EMBY app provider believes this would be a zoning issue between Europe and America. With the FORMULER PRO decoders, I installed the AUDIO OPTIMIZER application to be able to listen to EMBY. I would like to know if there is an AUDIO application that will help me to listen to EMBY but on the SWORD decoder. Hey @radeonare we by any chance any closer to being able to identify when someone uploads a trailer into backdrops and stopping it from uploading to the network? Or maybe even a way we can vote down certain backdrops if they don't adhere to the standard of a backdrop? Everytime I run the plugin now for a new movie I have to remove the trailer that someone uploaded from backdrops. But then this also (if I'm not mistaken) tells the system that a backdrop has already been uploaded and downloaded for that movie so if someone like myself uploads the proper backdrop it will already have one in it's place - the trailer. It would be great if there was a way to clean this up or at least stop trailers from being uploaded if that is what someone wants to do.
