As another interesting note, on most of the listings that do not have any images, it appears to have pulled the correct descriptions from somewhere.

I tried that, and it seems to have held for the moment, but there is no way that I can tell to force a re-scan of everything, I will have to go through and manually identify it all. And previously when I tried changing it, the settings eventually changed back.

sure I only started it on cover because I hadn't anything before. that cover overlay is anyway completely on off as you like... maybe the info from the mediainfo Plugin could be used for icons, I have no clue, and I don't care where they are coming from but then it has to be fully integrated on server level for everyone otherwise it's not fair. not everyone will be able to implement to addon. on my side it was very tight

Do you still keep the extras in a folder within each season or do you then put all extras in a Specials folder outside of the seasons?

the plugin is Media Toolbox, and it works very well "overlay on fanart is perfect I guess." well, i disagree, it ruins the image i think, better to have icons on a reserved place "no emby soul on earth complaining about that", yes, as there will be the option to enable it or not in my first solution, if you don't like it just disable it

However, I don't have all the seasons of this show, I only have season 3. When I look at the season 3 landing page in Emby, I see no average run time. So the data is in TVDB, it just isn't being pulled into an individual season.

The device group in your /dev/dri listing is 18, not 985.

Hey there, First of all, a quick thank you for the hard work on Emby, it's amazing ! I recently discovered and activated the option "Group items into collections" in my Movies library. That option is a must ! I wonder how I could lived without it so far… Anyway, let's get to the point : I have some manually created collections in which grouping items doesn't make sense. For example, let's say I have a "Tim Burton" collection : I don't want the Beetlejuice, Batman and Dumbo movies grouped into a "Tim Burton" collection, but I do want to keep the Batman movies grouped into one. I thought that such collections could really benefit from a new option "prevent grouping" ( false by default ). What do you think about it ? Thanks in advance, Takit

You would need to let it finish. Its a heavy and time consuming task. When its done it should go back to normal, did you enable it for all libraries at the same time ?

NOOO!!! I was reading the whole convo at the edge of my seat as I have EXACT the same problem I am struggling with for days now. Ever since I enabled Episodes Intros and 10-second thumbnails my TV library scans take around 30 minutes with the same log entries as OP: Searching for solution I disabled almost all settings that might cause longer library scans (metadata provider only set to TVDB, thumbnail extraction set to Never. no auto nfo updates, did full library scans and individual library scans, caching in metadata folder turned off, plugins uninstalled, rebooted my PC and NAS countless times etc.) and the solution is... MAGIC! I have a scan of media library turned on as a scheduled task everyday at 6 AM and it takes around 1h to complete. I am loosing my mind over this so please help (or should I just go to bed for 4 hours). Logs attached. @Luke @jaycedk @Happy2Play @cnstarz embyserver.txt

I confirm, moving to the beta version resolve this issue. So I assume that whatever fix is in place in the beta version fill end up in the next stable release. I'll mark this post as resolved. Thank you

Not sure what you mean (I am not OP here). I have my media files on Synology NAS (HDD drives) and Emby Server on Windows (SSD drives - for performance) so there is no Android involved. But I do have painfully slow library scan issues and I'm trying to find the culprit for days now. I am running a library scan now with debug enabled to show full logs. I came across this topis as I thought that maybe my server has some problems connecting to mounted drives and that's why it's so slow. Not sure it applies to that topic. I don't want to modify the tab's, I just want the tab to not exist when trailers plugin is not installed. Just like tag disappear when I have no tags applied.

I would assume there is already existing FR for same/equivalent feature, to which you can lend your support:

That is: Album Artist tab/pages would give priority to the underlying 4 Album Artist combinations Artist tab/pages would give priority to the underlying 6 Artist combinations Composer tab/pages would give priority to the underlying 6 Composer combinations “Entity Priority” would hide likely non-wanted combinations by default, while allowing advanced options to show them, if required: Maybe some of the above is helpful information? Either way, it does show that considering different views/separation/filtering for Album Artists/Artists/Composers is something to think through carefully to get to a good end solution!
