Hey there, First of all, a quick thank you for the hard work on Emby, it's amazing ! I recently discovered and activated the option "Group items into collections" in my Movies library. That option is a must ! I wonder how I could lived without it so far… Anyway, let's get to the point : I have some manually created collections in which grouping items doesn't make sense. For example, let's say I have a "Tim Burton" collection : I don't want the Beetlejuice, Batman and Dumbo movies grouped into a "Tim Burton" collection, but I do want to keep the Batman movies grouped into one. I thought that such collections could really benefit from a new option "prevent grouping" ( false by default ). What do you think about it ? Thanks in advance, Takit

Hi everyone. I have found a (Issue and this needs enhanced) because i have a friend who have downloaded a whole TV show to my mobile because both of us have the same Phone name and looks like than emby allow to see everyone devices as connected to emby through the list of downloads to device option let me explain in other words How I supposed to know wish iPhone is mine and the other 2 is my friend, as you can see there are 3 iPhone in the list because the devs don't have isolated it. I'm my moms tv with her accounts same thing (all device is listed) As you can see in above picture, I can allow to download my movies to any device from other users, it should have a isolated device list per users Like my computer and my smartphone and etc (My own devices only) .. But not showing me the device from others like my mom devices, it should be isolated between accounts (My user can download to my own device) (My moms can download to her device) I really don't understand why the devs don't have isolated the list by user. Like I have described above. Hopefully this will be fixed soon because is a security issue user may not be able to view devices from other users. Resume to do. Isolation between device account to don't allow users to download by mistake to a device from other users, so by this way the device is isolated by accounts and the retrieved(return or resulted) list was only the device from that user and not from the other. I am trying to watch a tv series and am on the second episode. However I cant watch it properly because the auto aspect ratio cant be changed while casting to chromecast making it impossible to watch this episode while using Emby beacuse of the video being squished to half its normal size. I have confirmed it does play normally with Media Player Classic and the aspect radio isnt changed until I use Emby to play it. This wouldnt be a hug deal if the option wheel icon actually worked while casting. As such I believe a hotfix should be in the works. Also I cant seem to find the option for turning auto aspect ration of in the regular main options menu when not playing a video to be able to turn it off. I may be overlooking it though. I can change the aspect ration when not casting and thought it might be a quick fix if I did that and than cast over to my tv. But once I did the aspect ratio auto changed back to the squished video. Ideally Id like to use Emby to watch this episode but am unsure what I can do to fix this if anything and may just have to cast it from media player classic just to get past it. It does however bring up concern this could be a problem in the future. I have previously made a similar post about the option wheel not working while casting to chrome so I suppose this can be combined for a continuation of that Bug Report. Regards.

Trying to use the option gear wheel button on android does nothing when I click on it while casting to chromecast. However it works when playing directly from the android phone. Because of the importance of this feature my only conclusion is this has to be a bug.

in consequence to the latest change (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/72089-41019-delete-to-recycle-bin/), where, for windows users (with the lookout that this will come for other OS too), the possibility to direct delete was removed and they are now only able to delete files to the recycle bin, here the requested feature request as different users have different needs hopefully this will finally lead to, that we users can control how emby deletes our media

My users love the suggested series and movies in all the different clients. One thing them and I have been after for a real long time is to not show watched movies/series in these suggestions. We have already watched it so there is really no point to have these taking up room when there is plenty other things to pick from for suggestions that I'm sure are unwatched. Was hoping it could be a toggle in user preferences area similar to having the watched items appear in latest media toggle that is currently there so that way each user can set this how they want. Hi there so I was noticing whenever I use poster view it is alot easier to "remember" what movies I have backed up and see all of them BUT it does not have details of the movie when hovering over it. I enjoy uaing coverflow view for this reason BUT then you have to scroll by a single row. My suggestion is to add an option to add details with poster view. I know it then basically makes coverflow view useless or just a copy of poster view but it would be a nice thing to have.
