I usually use Emby for android TV on my MiTV and it works. I resently try to install mobile version on TV and it crashs during startup. Do it support Android TV? The android OS of my MiTV is Android 9.

Hi Running Theater 3.0.20 on Windows 11 with a Ryzen CPU & Radeon GPU on a 4k TV. Everything works fine for playing back content, but I cannot access the settings menu. If I navigate to it with the keyboard and when I hit Enter or Space it makes the noise of hitting the button but the setting menu never appears. Using a mouse or the MCE IR remote also does not work. Things I have tried: Running in a Windows instead of fullscreen, tried changing desktop resolution to 1080p from 4k, tried differing Windows scaling options from 100% to 300% (the recommended by Windows for 4k) I have 7 other PC's running 3.0.20, some are mine and some are located at my Mums and Sisters place etc. They are all working fine, just this one instance which unfortunately is a main lounge room viewing PC, and not on a nephews PC in their bedroom. We really want to be able to shut Theater down from the menu with the IR remote without having to grab a mouse to do it.

Hi Luke, sorry been a busy weekend. I can't provide anything too specific but I can tell you when it last happened to me and what I did to cause it. (And this has happened MANY times over the years) I have 2 machines that contain my libraries, I recently replaced a drive with a much bigger one. This drive mostly contains TV series that have ended, so I know they are not going to grow and can thus manage free space on the drive. I shut down Emby and moved a heap of TV series that had now ended from my 'live" system to the new drive. Once the move had completed, I fired Emby back up, let it do a library scan to reflect the moved files. Once it had finished (I did few scans to be sure) some but not all of the show were now sitting in the Latest TV section on the home page. This also happens when I move movies (again only some not all), but with a movie it's a simple case of editing the metadata to reflect an older date added and it instantly removes itself from the Latest Movies section. With TV there is no way to remove a series from the Latest TV section other than wait for new episodes of other shows to "push" it off the end so to speak. I would expect this behaviour if I take a drive full of media and add it to another Emby installation (then of course it is "new"), but I don't expect it to happen on a system that already had the TV Show on it, just moved to another library folder.

It's not a plugin issue. Kodi is responsible for the playbacks, Emby server for the stream data. The plugin just tells Kodi what to play. Usual suspects are the hardware acceleration settings in Kodi, firmware bugs or android issues.

Doubles usually happens on Kodi crashes while init sync. Yes a factory reset is the best way to fix such an issue.

You might downgrade to 10.0.22 with Emby 4.7 server. No need to reset the database...

Try enable Transcode livetv.

Thanks for the post. I’ve looked at the shield before but for the room I’d be streaming in I’d rather just use the Infuse app if that would work property. It’s cheaper than a shield.

You will need to use the tools that are based on the work quietvoid created. They are on doom9 in the encoding section. https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=185317 or https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=183479 HDR and DV support on Apple TV with Emby have been a dog and pony show since day 1. If you really want to use that horrible device for Emby you need Infuse. Apple is horrible for support outside of their ecosystem. It would be better for you to just replace the crApple TV with an Andoird player like a Shield or 3rd Gen Firecube. DV is 100% proprietary, and there are multiple profiles that you need to learn to understand in regards to what can play on what device. You not only need to make sure your TV can support whatever proflie your file is, you need to ensure your box can as well.

Just adding a little bit more for when you guys get back next week... the last few minutes of this log were skipping issues, server completely idle and only 1 person streaming live tv. time of 22:23 was the issues embyserver(18).txt
