Okay, given the workaround to the HEVC playback issues described here (Android TV 2.0.48 but Playback thru VLC for Android TV because of HEVC), I've abandoned the need for a fix that doesn't involve utilizing the workaround of double tapping 'Playback Correction' when video playback of HEVC stutters. I'm just requesting a single clickable button or prompt that would automatically undertake the same process of essentially double tapping Playback Correction. Here's the reason as to why; each time you click "PC", is essentially 14 button presses and to do such twice and quickly is difficult, as the rush is to complete such prior to the true start of whatever is being watched. Not to mention the processing of the first initiation of PC often slows down the processing of the second. Whereas a single button would streamline the processes of the workaround. Just a thought.

I'll check but might be already fixed in the public testing versions.

Hey, we're trying to use WatchTogether with version 10.0.18. However, we're encountering the following issue: the client always fast-forwards by 40 seconds. Sync starts fine, but after pressing pause, the client fast-forwards by 40 seconds. When we switch films, the client's film also jumps directly to 40 seconds, while for the host, the film starts at zero. Any ideas? I hope "client" and "host" are the correct terms here.

Hello. My server is 4.8.6 and I refreshed my metadata and the problem still exists. again the thumbnail is correct and it plays correctly in VLC but is upside down in Emby. Any ideas - this is annoying. thanks.

Hello, visproduction, it is not media related like i wrote before. In the new beta .17 it happens only 1 time in the movie but it not get stucked anymore. Now i have just dropped frames at some point in the movie mostly at the end of it. All my media is fine and playing very well on every device (no transcoding -> direct stream), my network is 10GB wired and there are no bottlenecks at any point. Just the webplayback (playing back with internal network) is dropping frames at some point. I will deliver logs when i have a time for it. Kind regards, pektoral

Doesn't even the ASS subtitles give you problems? What subtitle format do you use? And what devices? As I mentioned, everything that is Android does play it Samsung, LG and browsers do not play subtitles in my case And I have tried several versions of Emby

Hi, I tested the 4.9.0.18 beta version and was happy to seean shot that the filter option for audiobooks is now available again. I want to thank you for the hard work and the quick response to this problem. I noticed an edge case with the filter. If I have an audiobook where all tracks are marked with played, but the book it self is not marked as played it does not appear when filtering for unplayed or played books. The book is only visible when the filter is set to all. I have are rkd attached a screenshot of a book in this state. It alsoes does not get listed if I mark the book as played and all tracks as unplayed. My opinion is, that it should filter by the state of the audio book itself and not consider the tracks it contains. My expectation would be if I filter by played state I only see books with/without a green check mark. I like the current behavior where the played status is not linked to the containing titles (not like tv series where the season gets marked played as soon all episodes are marked played). I am listening to audiobook while trying to sleep. Because of this, the titles often get marked all as played when I'm sleeping. But that is only my preference. Again big thanks and if there are any questions I'm happy to answer them.

Hi, Presently all the main music Menu Tabs (apart from Suggestions) show a useful Items Count to the LHS of the Play button (1888 Items example shown below): To find the individual counts for the Songs/Albums of a specific Album Artist/Artist/Composer currently takes a couple more ‘clicks’ to get to the relevant page(s). This is quite ok for looking up something specific on a few occasions, but not as nice for continuous top-level browsing through a music library category. If the Songs/Albums item counts were added as options to the “Show Fields” edit settings, for Album Artists/Artists/Composers, then this would show the info nicely for anyone wanting to view it more readily. (I would use an Albums Count as a permanently selected option, but others may like to see the Songs Count?) Anyone not wanting this info displayed below the images would not select the respective option(s), similarly to the current setup. Here is an example showing the Album Artist Title and Albums Count on the main Album Artist summary page: Adding these options would be a great improvement, giving more useful functionality with music viewing. Yes, I have both Emby for Firestick and Emby standard on one of my Firesticks (have 5 Emby for Firestick). I will run the standard in my Man Cave office for the next while and see if I get the black screen. It is not especially frequent, perhaps once a week, so may be a while.

That's what I was expecting, since everything else is under the "3 dots". It's the only button I can think of that's kind of down there living life alone and on its own (when active), but maybe it can live in two places and still dynamically? Another "idea" is to make it visible all the time, so it's more noticeable, but have it grayed out when there isn't an active split. Thanks for the replies btw.

Has there every been any success on this? My family and I casting from the app to a Chromecast aren't able to resume or seek. It's been like this for a year or longer. It works as expected when playing to the web client, or to a native app (just not casting to Chromecast). When resuming it initially starts playing from the start then jumps to the moment requested, it then shows a still image and the audio plays. This is my experience for first, second, third and ultra gens of Chromecast including on Android tv. I'm using hardware transcoding, but it also doesn't work with it off. My storage is reasonably fast and and is either stripped array or SSD. There are no restrictions on my account that I can think of. If you can describe how to get the Chromecast logs I would be happy to get them. Thanks
