There is no option for that in the Roku app but, if the item doesn't have a logo, then it will fall back to the poster.

If you play something that is not interlaced, how does that compare?

Luke, I turned off Video Transcoding under User Playback, and so far, it appears that has resolved the issue, with no other problems. Looking at Stats now, it shows the Stream as Deinterlacing Video, Video with 1080i and Direct Play, and Audio as Direct Play. There is no buffering during loading, and no buffering during Play. Back to full enjoyment! I have over 1000 videos, and use your Randomizer to watch them, sometimes for hours. I have stayed with Emby for years, and will continue to do so. I thought initially this problem was just a matter of proper settings, and it looks like this has been fixed. Not sure why this was never an issue before, but looking forward to enjoying Emby for years to come. Thank you for your quick assistance (and Grim Reaper also).

What exactly did you do as you have a corrupt database. Corrupt: database disk image is malformed I guess the question becomes was the db corrupt before the update?

Emby only supports transcoding/tonemapping with an HDR10 layer - thus you need Dolby Vision Profile 8 or Profile 7. Profile 5 is not supported for Transcoding at this time (as it has no HDR10 layer) - but will Direct Play perfectly fine assuming your device supports DV.

The second two are off by default. 1) disable cinemamode 2) not sure where this is but disabled by default. But appear directly tied to User Config config.xml as the option is not cleared when cache is cleared. Requires restart if edited to reload user. 3) default disabled code So 2 would be a persistent config while 1 and 3 are cache configs per my understanding.

Alright, I had it misconfigured and misunderstood the documentation. I can download subtitles, but from the web interface. If I purchase a subscription, is it possible to search for subtitles from the Apple TV video player like Plex does?. Regarding transcoding, it would be nice to implement a function from the server configuration panel that allows specifying which codecs to transcode to based on the client. For example, "if client = Z and codec = X then transcode to Y"

Hi Luke, Thanks for your reply. The first movie indicated there were subtitles (SUBRIP), but they wouldn't display on the Chromecast used. The second movie did display the subtitles (PGSSUB), but it caused the CPU to spike continuously at nearly 100%. Neither have .srt files in the movie folder. I have give RW permissions to both internal user emby, as the created user EmbyNas, to the Media folder and sub-folders and files, and configured subtitles as attached, but I don't see subtitle files being downloaded and placed with the media files. I'm sure I'm overlooking something, but I can't get my head around it just now.
