IF the problem with the Autoharp Legacy albums was a blank AlbumArtist field (???) and you have many "Various Artists" albums with this same issue, then you could run this type of Action on all your files (in large batches) without needing to check individual albums one-by-one. Action type: Format value Field: ALBUMARTIST Format string: $if2(%albumartist%,Various Artists) BTW - I didn't create this, I just asked asked Microsoft Copilot AI to create it for me. All I had to do was type it in to the appropriate boxes in Mp3tag. (It works - I tested it.) So not too painful!

Does your server log contain then mentioned error? But troubleshooting we would need specific examples.

Must be a platform issue as Windows flags the refresh and after 90 seconds (new set interval was prevously 60 seconds) RTM stops monitoring and scans the new flagged media. But Synology is infamous for iNotify errors and requires modification to extend default values. But server log would tell you that.

Hi, the only topic I've seen you mention feedback in is relating to the missing "See all" function, but you can now do this in Theater, right? Additionally, the function is restored in 4.8.6 which should be released in the next couple days.

They don't exist that I know of so either previous are not public or don't exist as update most of the time just happen within the same app version. As Theater has a system.xml also you can disable updates.

I wish this ever worked, but it doesn't... refreshes after a cycle (there have been times when I had to wait hours and ended up opening the interface just to refresh it). This is why I'm automating it on my own now.

Thanks, unfortunately the subtitles download does not always trigger upon adding new content and adding new content to the libraries does not refresh until the cycle is over (being this the main reason why I'm forced to automate all this externally). I wasn't aware in all this years using Emby that it had an API. This is what I need probably. I'll give it a try, Thanks

How about just enabling RTM for the library

Sounds like you would need to install more than one Emby server and assign so many users to each server with each server having their own key.

Not what I wanted to hear, but at leased it's sort of a straight answer. I do NOT want the current or any future versions of theater. I simply want the old UI back. I don't not like a single thing you have changed since the release of 4.8 server. So the new app wont do anything to help. lol You and I have already discussed this in many other topics. I am not going to go over it again with you. Waste of your time and mine. I don't need to see "maybe in a future release again" Yeah that new app. "Coming soon"........for the past 6 months......or maybe even longer than that. I am just going to uninstall theater. But in Library setup you can configure it to download subs when content is added? But I guess you can look at the api and do what you want manually. REST API Documentation

I did a forced uninstall (apt-get purge -f emby-theater), rebooted, downloaded a fresh copy of the ET 3.0.19 *.deb, then installed it. Things are better. My tv library data providers are now checked (and checkable). The tvdb tracking/forwarding link is still there, but now it is rendered html, not raw html. I was able to set a test image over a good thumb via the 'set by url' option without the GUID error. Of course I chose the thumb that isn't available yet to test on, so I had to manually download it again, lol. I'll have to see what settings I lost by nuking the ET client config during the purge, but everything seems reasonable so far, and to be working better than before.

I'm not talking about library settings, but to trigger a refresh (and download the subtitles when it does) via some command once I move content into it (either that, or emby immediately detecting new content). Emby goes to a cycle to detect new content, I am talking about immediate refreshes when the content is added). Question: Is there a way to automate the following processes via bash commands?: - Video Library refresh (detect new media) - Subtitles automatic download I made a bash script that moves folders into the Emby library once are ready to be moved, and I would like to trigger the detection and automatic subtitles download without user intervention. Is it possible? Running Emby on a Syno NAS.

There is a delay as I believe this applies to Emby also.

Why can't you just give me a straight answer to my question? I asked for a download link and explanation on how to disable auto update. I should not have to explain myself. I am a paying custom. I want the old version of theater before all the UI changes that have been discussed AT LENGTH in other topics. I not here to have a discussion. I only want what I have asked for. Can you do that or not?

HI, I would think that should work just fine.

is incorrect. The request you quoted is to group items in a collection by content type. Okay. However, that's not what was done. What was done is to group them by content type, make a scrolling list instead of a grid, and remove all books and games from collections. If they were still in grids and books (and games? - I really don't remember if games are a default emby function or if they're something I added with an extension) were still there, I'd shrug, be very slightly irritated, but accept it. That's not what happened, on either part.
