Content is suggested to which the user does not have access to
Happy2Play replied to Justus's topic in General/Windows
Yes as all the issues are arising individually due to changes in 4.8 and each one will be address when identified. Now it is identifying every scenario again. -

Content is suggested to which the user does not have access to
Justus replied to Justus's topic in General/Windows
It is version 4.8.7.0 Yes it is not playable but still. If no access to a library (no matter what content) is granted, nothing from this library should be suggested or found/displayed in any other way. -

The standard app only integrates with the system Watch Next channel. For the next update, it will also have an optional Continue Watching section that you can enable. -

What server version? Are saying you have multiple Audiobooks libraries? Will have to test multiple libraries but suspect issues similar to having multiple music libraries. @Lukeonly tested in 4.8.7.0 but this is reproducible with multiple libraries. But changing to 2 folder one library still get the same results as suggestions are not restricted for this content type. And actually show restricted Music also but not playable. -

Hello, I was just about to take another look at the topic of audio books for Emby. I have created a new library with an audiobook for testing. Some time ago, I had already created a library with a few audiobooks in it, but I withdrew access from myself (and every other user) because I only had it in there for testing and trying out. The new audiobook in the new library was recognised correctly, but then I noticed that the audiobooks I don't have access to are also suggested at the bottom under ‘More of this’. I have tested it with other users and it is the same. They don't have access to the library for audiobooks, but they are still suggested under ‘More of this’ and are therefore visible to the user. It doesn't even matter if an audio book has a tag that is also blocked for a user. The audiobook is still suggested and displayed. This is not good at all. I don't think this also applies to films and series, but I would like to ask you to check this again. -
Clash of the Titans [2010] metadata showing up as the 1981 version lol

Where is the new view style located?

Note it would be folder naming as filenaming is not used as all. Star Wars (1977) {tmdbid=11}\asdflkjaldfj.mkv will get Star Wars. -

Maybe as you are dependent of what providers you have enabled on the library and the provider site having the IMDBid for the media. But in general yes. -

Yes I do. I don't use them with emby, but they are on the same network. -

I smoke too much weed. So if I do the trick where I add the IMDB ID to the file's title for all my Star Wars films that will bypass TMDB and it's smooth sailing? -

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?! Why would they do that lol?! The 4th film is just Star Wars even though that's not the full name lol and then they named the 5th/6th by their episode, and then finally after 1999 they decided to just name them correctly? Any idea why that's so disjointed? I'm sure there's a reason? Also... If I search Clash of the Titans on TMDB nothing comes up... Not the 80s version or the remake.... WHAT?! -
Hi Luke, any update on the new version?
-
I started downloading subtitles from subsource.net and I love it. It seems this site offers a greater variety of languages than OpenSubtitles. I hope the Emby Plug-in will have the Subsource plugin soon.
-
Hi. Not at this time but you can select the new view style so that all your episodes are organized right there by season...

Happy2Play replied to SynesthesiaBruh's topic in MacOS
It is TMDB. Note title will be whatever the provide site has as filename is really irrelevant. So is the embedded title. Sure there is a library option but only applies if no internet metadata id found. Prefer embedded titles over filenames This determines the default display title when no internet metadata or local metadata is available. TMDB So you have to manually manipulate the metadata Title to your liking. -
Emby on Androd TV recommended and recent issues
ebr replied to Hispanico957's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Hi. The problem is the app isn't always running. So, when you first turn on your device and are on its home screen, the most up to date that information can be is from the last time you had the app open (without us developing some component that runs all the time). Given this and the fact that Google is phasing these channels out for normal apps, I think it is more likely that we remove these custom channels from the TV app than try to re-develop them for the new one. -
Wrong Thumbnails from Home Photos in Emby
EricKnaak replied to DannyDee316's topic in General/Windows
Actually that was from the old install. I have the config data stored in different locations, but same library (no thumbnails "along side media" option). But the new install has the same issue only with different files. embyserver(new).txt -

Hi, Sorry. Thank you. OK SO. What website is your first screenshot from? Now if I understand you correctly, yes I did rename all 3 Star Wars films in MKVToolNix [Output tab > General section > File Title: field]. But what website is Emmy quering to? Below are my 3 Star Wars movies. I named them whatever IMDB had them as [other than the colon as I can't name files with a colon in MacOS]. I'm assuming that's fine?: BUT in Emby's metadata manager the titles are different: I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong but can't figure out what. How can I stop Emby from changing the names? EDIT: You know what... I bet whatever's going on with Star Wars is the same issue I was having with Emby thinking my Clash of the Titans 2010 was the older version from the 80s I needed to append the title by adding an ID: -
@eMoOakOk, Iconic 2.5.0.0 is in the catalog and includes a font compatibility update for Emby 4.8.7. Let me know if you still have any issues.
