Hi all, I have 2 libaries which are essentially the same, but one is HD, the other is 4K. If I start watching a 4K movie, I get two copies of the movie in my continue watching (1080 and 4K). Is there anyway to stop that?

There is cloudflare in between fyi.

Would I have an actual cache? The server was made about 3 days ago and I kept it off till my switch came in, got the switch hooked up (its an unmanaged gigabit switch), downloaded the app and it gets stuck there after selecting the server

Didn't realize there were 2 different apps. The plain "emby" app seems to work correctly on my firestick. On another note, I just submitted logs from my Roku at 11:24a EST. Live tv crashes there as well. Was trying to play channel 600 (cnn). Emby server user Mystichrome.

I put 755 to all files in /var/lib/emby/data/.... It still does not work

You may need to delete all the Emby apps from your Roku. Once they are all deleted restart the Roku. Once the Roku is restarted it will clear the cache of whatever Emby was storing on the Roku. Now reinstall the Emby app on the Roku. It should work after this since it has a completely clear cache.

Hey, So, I installed Emby on my 2012 Mac Mini a while ago. Currently, it is running MacOS 10.15.7 (Cartalina). And to be honest, I was embedded in Plex and Emby did not seem to be an alternative I wished to start over with. Fast forward a few years and my love affair with Plex is reaching a climax. So last night, I set Emby up again. Retrospectively, I believe I had deleted the app but not the database. In the intervening years, I have reduced my collection substantially. So, consider me surprised when I start up the new server and it displays in recommendations all my old content. Including in the continue watching panel. The file paths for this content no longer exists. I accessed the database's folders in Finder and deleted the cache content. After a library rescan and restart, the problem has not resolved itself. Therefore, is there a fix or should I delete the database and start over? If so, what is the best way to do this? Thanking you.

In my library I have different meta data languages det for my movies. Foreign movies set to standard english. My danish movies are set to danish. Import movie, edit meta data, set language. Refresh meta data.

You can now clone a existing user when you add a new user. In this example I have created user "Test 1" this is my guest templet. When your guest leaves, delete the guest. And leave guest templet "Test 1" for the next time, then create a new from the templet. Its like 5 clicks.

Hi, I believe I saw in another post that searches were limited to 50 results to help the software run faster and not get bogged down with a search. I would guess, if you let searches run for all results without having pagination, it would be possible to eat up CPU speed so much that any other user watching something would stutter and stop. I have coded pagination for search results before and it has a lot of issues, takes many hours of time, causes bugs and I would guess the number of users who would actually make use of this is low. Dbase searches limited to 50 results makes much more sense, in my opinion.
