Hi, yes, in the m3u setup screen, see the option called "Preferred channel image source". Please note that changing it won't change already imported images though.

Facy5 started following Force choose logo from m3u in TVHeadend instead of XMLTV
-
I'd like to know if there is an option to force Emby to choose the logo of a channel from the m3u retrived from TVHeadend instead of those inside of a XMLTV ?

DOH! i just now saw that issue.. i was looking HERE: (see attch) and not paying attention to thenetwork condig,
-
I'm glad to hear that. Just be aware that historically it hasn't worked so you can't assume it will for all Samsung's.
-
You need to use port 443.
-
i use a LETSENCRYPT on my home server and my sammies accept it just fine. this error doesnt really appear to be something that a cert would give. see screenshot

How exactly are you connecting to the server using your phone or TV? EDIT: +1 for ZeroSSL I switched to it from LetsEncrypt when I was having issues on my LG TV, if I recall it had something to do with the root CA being cross signed. It's been a while. Though I suspect that you don't have much choice in the matter because this is being handled by a reverse proxy and is a wild card certificate, so probably your server provider is using this.
-
It could be the same reason for both. I'm surprised to hear that about the iPhone, but i can tell you that Samsung TV's will definitely not accept LetsEncrypt. In fact your choices are pretty limited. Some users have reported success with ZeroSSL and others with Digicert. This is of course, assuming you entered the correct address and port into the apps, so I would double check that as well.
-
Hi, we'll take a look at it. Thanks.
-
yea and i didnt really have a choice as the 'APPBOX' preconfigured everything. but it is a LETSENCRYPT cert and looks good. see attach. Also as i mentioned earlier the same problem exists if i try to connect using my iPhone app.

As it happens I am up against exactly this issue, so "me too!" I can confirm that using the form Items?<itemid> does give a 204 but in fact does apparently nothing (does not delete the item). And I am also getting the "Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'user'])" when I do it as swagger suggests. @Lukehere's what I get in my log: 2024-05-02 16:49:56.457 Info Server: http/1.1 DELETE https://host3:8920/emby/Items?Ids=2971018&api_key=x_secret6_x. It looks like you're on the old beta 4.8.0.80 and it's trying to update itself to 4.8.5.0. I guess it's not actually updating itself so you should probably update it manually. 2024-05-01 15:40:32.389 Info App: Emby Server Version: 4.8.0.80 ... 2024-05-01 15:40:41.542 Info App: Application has been updated to version 4.8.5.0 2024-05-01 15:40:41.658 Info App: Emby Server needs to be restarted ... 2024-05-01 15:55:41.654 Info App: Automatically restarting the system because it is idle and a restart is required.

The answer to this is easy. Stop letting users give access to so many people for free. The Netflix model is fine.

Clash of the Titans [2010] metadata showing up as the 1981 version lol
Luke replied to SynesthesiaBruh's topic in MacOS
Best thing to do going forward is one issue per topic. From our support point of view, everytime we come back in here we're likely to forget that the discussion veered off in another direction and will assume the discussion is about clash of the titans. -

It needs to be part of the title or original title in order to show up in search results. -

Is it possible to mark more than one post as the solution? This OP is about more than one issue. -

Ok I added the tmdbid ID to the end of the file name like rbjtech suggested and now Clash of the Titans is all good. You had some outgoing requests to the moviedb api fail I'm pretty sure that was just caused by me being an idiot and entering an IMDB link instead of it's ID... I am not using a VPN. So now the only thing left: Do you know how I can populate the search results with all Star Wars movies I have just by typing "Star Wars" instead of the name of the episode? -
Hi, it's true. For now, please use the iOS forum while we decide if we want a separate one, or a combined one for both: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/forum/94-ios/ Thanks !

Hi, with Emby Server 4.8.5, what you'll need to do is refresh the metadata on existing titles. This will add rotation information to your server database.

Can you try the Identify feature again? You had some outgoing requests to the moviedb api fail, which is likely the root of your problems. Hopefully it was just a temporary blip. If you're using a vpn, try turning it off. -
@MJK79 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Hi, if you turn this back on, how do things compare?

Sometimes, for reasons known only to the Gods, it takes Emby a very long time to perform some functions that are, I guess, very much background. I have discover the waiting, sometimes for days, will cause Emby to get things "right." I just wish that the deep background tasks had some way of finding and displaying what they are doing and the progress. But I do NOT want to know if it would slow down Emby to know. Knowledge is power but absolute power corrupts absolutely and my brain is already as corrupted as I can stand.
