That explains why I didn't see a download button like you do, I had to go into the 3 dot menu. I don't touch the MS Store even with a 39 1/2 foot pole.

I use a single scrap SSD drive for transcoding. If you have a scrap drive laying around, then put transcode temp on that, and see if it's better.

2-3 weeks to move a couple TB doesn't seem right. But yes I am wondering about the underlying storage because I've seen through my own use cases where I was hammering both my HDD (reading) and SSD (writing) arrays to remux media that when the SSD array would slow down under very heavy writes, which I can see crawling well under 100 MB/s in those conditions with 4 drives in raid 0, that response times of TS files also being read/written to that array would increase by 1-2 seconds, but nowhere near what you're seeing under what I would assume are essentially otherwise idle conditions. I'm using ZFS for both of my arrays and I would have been running up to 10-15 mkvmerge commands at the same time when I noted the increase in response times for the TS segments being delivered. TS segments are generally pretty small, maybe a few MB at most unless it's a 4K remux transcode, in which case I've seen those go up to 50 or 60 MB but in the grand scheme that's still really small, especially for a local client at gigabit speeds that's 0.5 sec to transfer. Your hardware is more than capable of what you're asking it to do, just need to find out what the bottleneck is. I'm still perplexed that Theater wouldn't play anything but honestly direct play is a little harder to figure out since you can't see the response time of chunks, you either need to be looking at the buffers with netstat, reviewing traffic graphs, or packet captures to understand the behaviour.

doubt this will even get an attention. it requires hella lot of work top picks had been nothing but fragile glass cannon to me, so i decided to uninstall it despite its glory when it actually works

Any chance to get Continue Watching as a standalone channel like Suggested is? I don't want to see my Emby content mixed in with all the other stuff in Watch next. I'd like to have it nice and clean on its own. I'm kind of baffled it was decided to give Suggestions as a channel instead of Continue Watching. It's my database built by me. I don't want suggestions for it, I want to continue watching.

I think it is out dated, but not sure, dev's will have to answer. Glad you got it working, enjoy

embyforkodi (next-gen) 10.X.X support
supermood replied to quickmic's topic in Emby For Kodi Next Gen
since v024 the play state and box set sync doesn't work anymore for me. I removed trakt with that upgrade or maybe a day before not sure.. Just FYI, nothing urgent of course!! I have to sync boxsets after every restart and started movies are gone after restart -
changing music album cover not change recursively the songs cover

@Happy2Playthanks for being straight !! @LukeWTF so How many of these have changed ? Why am I taking my time with Emby? -
I'm watching media and the media ends or I press stop. I am returned to the landing page for that piece of media. I press the back button to go to my library and scroll through the media in that library. While scrolling through, the selected item appears as it does in the picture I posted.

Rotten Tomatoes - Audience Rating / Audience Score

Noooo we must trust the corrupt paid critics. -

Thank you jaycedk. The version at that link you sent does not have a Download icon/button. However, the 3 little dots work and now I can see a dialog open to download to a specific location. So looks like the version in the Microsoft App Store I used was maybe out of date.

Rotten Tomatoes - Audience Rating / Audience Score
Cain57 replied to Pais's topic in Feature Requests
I usually find that I'm closer in agreement with the RT Audience score than the critics rating. I'd suggest being able to to select one or the other, the critics score is often useless. -

@LessajNot any particular reason, I'm actually upgrading my storage array, this is a smaller SSD array. So I will copy everything off onto the larger MergerFS + snapraid config and move away from BTRFS and back to ext4 raid1. This will probably take 2-3 weeks (I hope!!). But I will report back once its done and moved, and I can see if that improves things.

Yes as it comes down to new vs old as a new library will have new setting vs old library not changing. -

Well gentlemen why is this list of functions not readily available to all users. I understand that things can take time to make it to the UI. But I took time to respond to @Lukequestion unaware of a setting that could (and sounds like is changing) impact the response I gave.. Help me out here.. -
There's apparently no way to edit these posts, so I'll just say that the issue I was having with Apollo 13 has randomly fixed itself and the extras are now showing up properly. However, my issue with the TV extras at the season level still persists. Is this just the way season level extras behaves or is there something else I can do to make it look and work better?
-
Oh yes I see it in the log it's /config/transcoding-temp. So this is backed by the BTRFS raid 1 array? Any particular reason to be using BTRFS here? I haven't used it in a number of years so I'm not sure the performance implications of it, my understanding is it's not particularly well recommended but I think that's mostly around raid 5.

Video recorded by iphone play with bad rotation on Samsung App
tsvetelin replied to KarlHungus67's topic in Samsung Smart TV
Update: I installed the beta version of the TV app, which is now "Emby for Samsung 1.8.1." The problem is still there (see attached thumbnail-correctly-rendered.jpg and before-metadata-refresh.jpg - photos #3 and #2). I did a "metadata refresh" on the clip. Oddly enough, the video's aspect ratio changed to the correct one, but the video didn't rotate and got squished (see after-metadata-refresh.jpg - photo #1). Another thing that I noticed is that some vertically shot videos are rendered correctly. I took a picture of the metadata of such video (metadata-correctly-rendered-video.jpg - photo #4), and, interestingly, there is no "rotation," but the resolution and the aspect ratio are displayed as vertical. I took photos of the metadata of an incorrectly rendered video before (metadata-incorrectly-rendered-before-refresh.jpg- photo #5) and after (metadata-incorrectly-rendered-after-refresh.jpg - photo #4) metadata refresh, and it is visible that the only difference is that rotation metadata appears. Still, the resolution and aspect ratio remains the same. The video is rendered in a portrait rectangle, but the picture is still in landscape orientation, only squished into a portrait rectangle. Also, converting videos for TV doesn't help -

Hi @Luke Any Progress on this ? One of this "Hidden db config options" works for me -
Hello there, any news for my problem? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks a lot

changing music album cover not change recursively the songs cover
Happy2Play replied to linusminix's topic in General/Windows
Since configs are DB only now one has to use the api to update library options. Luke has mentions he will put an option in the UI for this in original topic.
