Yes as the drag and drop Playlists and Collections are independent of the actual library connections. As they are hidden correctly in My Media section on home screen and drawer. For my perfect setup i would like to use docker, but i couldn't get the Intel ARC card working properly with Emby docker (neither with the official nor the linuxserver image). But i also couldn't get it working with the Jellyfin docker.

Technically Emby does not support this and changes in 4.8 have made this sort of possible but I will guess playback via this content type has to be rewritten if it is going to be supported.

Just bumping this. I think updating OpenCL to the latest version in the Docker container that's used by Emby will resolve this. It's not possible to downgrade to a previous version of Ubuntu in most cases.

Maybe you didn't understand my query: what is the path/folder you've added in your library configuration? Edit: Based on your screenshot, I'd assume it is D:\Kamen Rider - you need to add parent TV show folder, not the show folder itself as a library path, so add another folder named as desired (i.e. Kids TV) and move Kamen Rider folder into it, add that folder as library path in Emby.

How are they named? To get them into one series (using TVDB) you need to number them all accordingly. I found it hard to get the right metadata by searching, so Emby may as well. You need the series https://thetvdb.com/series/kamen-rider which has tvdbid=74096. To show all 1180 episodes as one single season, you need to use and specify Absolute order: https://thetvdb.com/series/kamen-rider/seasons/absolute/1 Paul

Restart your Emby server then check the log to see if it's listening on the https port. It will be in the log and needs to be restarted. Rotated logs don't have the info.

Well I kind of expected that there would be a single keystroke to favorite/unfavorite a photo and that you would be able to do it from browsing without having to "full size" the photo. But my "vision" has become weaker as I have aged. My age makes for a good excuse for a number of short comings as I get older.

Paul That is not true at all as that is how I tested before asking the question. But if the file fails this method it means the files is defective or is a browser issue as Emby is just utilizing the player. But in the end I don't see force transcoding to be the answer either. But to each there own.

Good morning everyone I have an issue with my Emby server and playback on most my devices. When ever i open Emby and attempt to play Movies, TV Episodes, Documentaries or just about anything video related, some times i can watch it perfectly fine but for the majority of the time some way through the video watching (happens randomly) the video will freeze for a few seconds whilst the audio is still going and then the audio stops and then the video continues on with the audio repeating what ever it played just after the video froze but the audio/video is now out of sync by about 5/10 seconds enough it's unwatchable. The majority of the time i have to stop the Emby server and start it back up to fix the issue, it all depends but sometimes it fixes it and i can continue with the watching and other times give it a while and it freezes again and again out of sync and a restart is needed to sort it. This happens regardless of device, I have no idea what the issue is, how to fix it. Are there any fixes i can do to solve it? How did you envision it?

Hi everyone, I seem to be having the opposite problem of this post below. I'm trying to get the Kamen Rider episodes to merge under just Kamen Rider (1971 to present) not the individual series. I have the episodes organized by season under one folder ie Kamen Rider>Season 1> Kamen Rider - S01E01 etc but they still get separated and look like the screenshot below. Any advice? I have the merge series option selected under Library options as well.

I just tested the favorite/unfavorite functionality and I can say that, for me, it works fine. It does not work exactly like i envisioned it working but they way it works is quite fine. I guess this "proves' that if you scream loudly enough and often enough you might get noticed. It is the old "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" situation, I guess.

I have setup emby on my proxmox in an debian lxc container. Everything works fine except https. I have stored the required pfx file in /var/log/emby/config, changed ownership to emby, configured it in the network configuration, and emby says all is fine. However, when I try to access the server on port 8920, no certificate is present. I checked it with openssl s_client -connect myhost.de:8920 and get "no peer certificate available". I can't find anything in the log (even at debug level) about the pfx activation, wether the certificate was successfully read or not. How can i diagnose the HTTPS setup? Are there any other log options to check if and why the certficate activation failed? Any help is appreciated. log is attached. embyserver.txt

Wouldn't that expose them on the UI, though? The whole reason I went from the plugin to the core was to get rid of the UI clutter they were generating. Well, that and it shuffling around genuine chapter markers into the wrong spot. Very keen on that plugin version that just adds the hidden markers and doesn't mess with the embedded chapters at all.
