Yes they should be saved in /metadata/collections example 2024-05-10 12:33:26.977 Debug ProviderManager: Saving image to A:\Emby-Server\metadata\collections\47 Meters Down Collection\poster.jpg So you would need to go over a specific example where this does not happen along with server log. Please enable bug logging before replicating your issue.

@alucrydIt seems to me that I was never able to get HW decoding to work on the rpi400 with the emby-theater-rpi_3.0.19_armhf image or any other image. I know this is not a very detailed observation, but this seems to be the main issue. The pi4 as such would be more than capable.

I have a couple of folders in my Movie Library that no longer exist so I have tried to remove them from the library in settings. When I click the minus sign and confirm the deletion, the item disappears from the list and the movie entries are removed from the library as expected. The issue I am having is, when I go back into settings, the folder shows back up in the library. It does not seem to try to add anything again, but it just pops back up. Is there a backdoor way that I can remove the items from the list so they don't reappear?

TranscodeReasons=SubtitleCodecNotSupported,DirectPlayError The client cannot understand what to do when it has nothing given to it. There is both a direct play error meaning it must burn them in. Then a subtitle codec not supported error. It is basically transcoding into NULL based on your log. There is nothing for it to do. You need textual subtitles that can be overlaid onto the AV1 so it can play directly. Transcoding AV1 is very complicated to do at a watchable framerate especially combined with sizing subtitles to overlay onto those video frames. You can download external SRT to go with that file with Emby subtitle search. The timings may match up if you pick the right version of SRT.

In advance of a complete upgrade (and to save space in my C drive) I changed my configuration so that, rather than using C:\Users\{username]AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata, Emby uses E:\Media\EmbyMetadata. One thing I'm confused about though is collections. In Emby > Server > Library > Collections, I turned on Save artwork into media folders. I thought that would save the images, and use the images, in E:\Media\EmbyMetadata\collections. However, it doesn't. Also, when I then added a new image to a collection, it doesn't appear under that folder either. Where are collection images supposed to be now? P.

I really don't understand why I didn't received any information from Emby's team about this problem. @Luke@ebr @softworkz @Abobader @CBers My info again: I have two files from same video, one is HEVC + ASS, other is AV1 with same ASS subtitles. Windows Emby Server 4.8.5.0, web windows client. If I play HEVC file with or without subtitles everithing works fine. If I play AV1 without subtitles, works, but with subtitules, don't work, I receive a message "there is not compatible transmisions availables". I attach logs and mediainfo from files. I make both files with Handbrake. If I use VLC I don't have any problem, If I use Jellyfin server and web client, I don't have any problem. If I disable hardware transcoding I have the same problem, same error. If you need the file, I could send you. After importing them into emby, I changed the metadata and now I want to export the meatadata that i changed in .nfo format.What should I do？

Server: 4.8.6.0 OS Win 10 Hi, I recorgnized since the update from 4.7.x to 4.8 where the playlists and a lot stuff changed, that every time when i add new music (albums) and i enter the album for the first time over the browser or the tv or any plattform, that it take about 2-6 seconds to list the content of the album, but only for the first time you enter a new album. Is there a reason for this? Is there something happening in the background as i never had this on 4.7. It is not really a bug, but maybe this can be improved. Thanks
