I'm not understanding where this remote control portion is?  Is that anything like the Kodi remote where we can control an emby theater instance on our network from a phone?

where can I turn for problems with the update?

group the media in collections is no longer possible since the update.

Checked back in to see if these release notes had any mention of a fix or change in respect of album artists now imported from musicbrainz and not underlying tags, yet incorrectly handled when it comes to collaborations/ensembles and with no way to fix it or option to use underlying tags. I see there's no mention of it, which combined with the fact that the devs won't respond to my posts on the issue suggests that music just isn't a priority for Emby these days, which is sad as I guess I'll have to look elsewhere. Also points to a larger issue where a major change like this is made for reasons that are unclear (guess they were tired of people with incorrect tags complaining on the forum), without any warning or communication, little apparent testing, then no response when resulting problems are highlighted. In some respects Emby has been developing really well, and when they feel like it the Devs can be really helpful and responsive, so this situation just makes me sad after the years spent working on my Emby libraries... even the times I had to rebuild them due to updates breaking things.

Hi, artists are imported from embedded tags. It's always been this way. We'll help you in your topic. Thanks.

I just tried to update to 4.3.1.0 on a macOS system. The Github wiki still says macOS 10.6 or newer is supported but the app won't run on anything less than 10.13. I hope this is simply an oversight and that older macOS versions will continue to be supported. Is there any particular reason the Mac version would require 10.13? I'm going to continue using 4.2 for now and hope I am not forced to update my OS. Any insights will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @drewmerkle, unfortunately this was not our intention but rather a choice made for us. We build Emby Server with .NET Core,. and .NET Core requires MacOS 10.13+:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/install/dependencies?pivots=os-macos&tabs=netcore31

If they were to revise their minimum supported version, then we would be able to do so as well. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Wow!  This release and the Roku app are really nice.  Many improvements, but for me the most important one, that I have wanted for so long, is options for Subtitles in Roku app,

Thank you very much!  A very nice pre-Christmas present!

I know this is an older thread, but I can't find documented anywhere in release notes or system requirements that Emby Server v4.3.x requires MacOS 10.13, which is a change from Emby Server v4.2x. I just found out the hard way. That's a "breaking change" for sure.
