Someone added already the anime to the site thetvdb, but in case it is still relevant, I had entered in different search tries - the chinese name 驭灵师 to the title field - the id 280095 to the TheMovieDb Id field which both resulted in returning a single search result that was correct but when applied it used a gorden ramsay series. Now it will find the correct list even when entered B.King as title and identify works as intended.

No, but you might get away with it by moving all Season folders one level up, directly beneath "House" folder (out of "House (2004) Season 1-8 S01-S08..." folder). Give it a shot.

Is there no way to then ignore the "House" (since I can't delete it/change it for organizational reasons) folder as the parent folder and instead treat the "House (2004) Season 1-8 S01-S08..." folder as my main/parent folder for this series' identification?

I appreciate the help. Thanks to the suggestions I found the DVR recordings path and all is well. Sa2000 asked where this was written, and honestly, I can’t find it now. It was somewhere in the Emby documents, but I looked at so much I don’t remember where I saw this. If I come across it again, I’ll post the document title, or the url. Hello Emby Users. I am loading my m3u url into the TVSoure and it adds all the info. Only issue i found it does not put Series into the Seires tab when i look they are listed in the Guide under the channels and this is also where it puts the movies as well. So this makes a long guide to look through for a specific series or movie. Is there a way to get these organized in the Live TV section as Series and Movies. Only Thing that shows in the series is what i have selected to record as a series and not series listed in the m3u from the provider. Thanks

Because your TV Show folder has garbage characters, it literally says "...Season 1..." and parser is acting on it, treating all episodes beneath as belonging to season 1 (as your parent/main TV Show folder is actually "House", not "House (2004) Season 1-8 S01-S08..."). Rename/restructure your folders as recommended and rescan library. TV Naming

Perhaps it's been long enough for the package to have been updated, but I just installed 4.9.3.0 by shutting down the emby-server service, running `pkg update`, and then running `pkg add` with the URL for the new version. After starting it, it came back up fine, but requested another restart to finish updating. After that, it seems to be running fine.

The first hit on that google search was: "OpenSubtitles.org has largely retired its API for free users as of the end of 2023" I downloaded subs form .Org manually as late as today without problems..im not VIP and never have been and used it for Plex since long after 2023, so I didnt really get it to make sense.. Maybe Play button style is overlapping the Resume button area, so when the user clicks on Resume, they are clicking the play button instead. This can easily happen in web with CSS styles button margin and padding ,especially set to percentages and the app widths were not QA'd for the different monitor sizes so a large monitor works fine, but a smaller monitor causes an overlapping. Can the presentation width of the UI on the TV app be adjusted by the user? Can the poster size be changed to something smaller? Maybe changing this can stop the overlap. Just a guess.

So, all the episodes are listed in season 1, which they're not, they have clear file names indicating that and the folder name indicating it too. Why can't I just select/drag-drop/correct when emby makes a mistake like this?

It's been a couple of years now if I recall they announce back in 2024 they were retiring.... you can google "opensubtitles org retiring" I don't blame the development team for taking the lead back then to retire it. One less firedrill to think about last minute as it was known to be retiring.

After numerous tries with the Linux edition, I finally gave up and installed it via Docker. Must admit, the installation was quick and easy using Docker. Much easier using the Ugreen docker app to install docker than it was when I installed it on a different NAS I use running on Open Media Vault. It's working fine now as far as I can tell.

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you would look at the attached textfile. There you can see that it's about the client. Anyway, I'll stick with Debian for now, and that solves the problem.

Buy a vehicle with "Android Experience" NOT "Android Auto", figure how to enable developer mode then adb push emby.apk, but sssshhhhh you didn't hear from me. Plus you will not hold anyone else responsible for your dumbassery.

That's why I have setup a TAP server directly on my RMerlin router, my network and ISP is strong enough to support plus the added benefit of accessing layer 2 devices. No cloud crap needed for cameras, hdhomreun's etc. But ya'll solution works too!

No proxy server here. I ended up giving up on this. Emby sorely lacks regarding playlists, they could take some lessons from Plex in that area. I set up a Navidrome dock server in unRAID at home and use Symfonium for my phone. It's not 100% perfect, but I have zero issues managing all aspects of my playlists.

Yes I probably did that. Now I have selected a specific episode and yes there is 'Edit Subtitles' there in the drop down list. But when I click on the search button I get this: No results found. Have you configured subtitle downloading? Clicking on that link takes me back to the link you posted, and I don't understand what to do now.

Some shows were locked as you suggested. I unlocked all the shows within a particular mapped genre then refreshed metadata on that genre. Still no change. I also note that there are a few empty genres that have been mapped into other genres. Even though they are empty and mapped out, they are still showing up as active genres.

Hi, we don't currently do that because we don't know if the player will be able to use that or not. And even if it can, we don't know if the android device will be able to reach it. But an option to do that is always possible.

Yes but what I'm suggesting is the device might be incorrectly reporting support for it. The video is higher than that.
