Somebody is trying to hack you hoping you are running a reverse proxy or something and take control of the proxy. They are trying to run exploits against your server. It isn't coming from Emby but being shoveled down Emby's port you have opened facing the internet. It doesn't look like they can do anything. But they can likely send "casting" commands and cause incorrect media to play and other shenanigans. If they gain access to your correct user with admin they can delete things. The IP shown on the one sending the welcome.cgi appears to be from Superloop (Australia) Pty Ltd. Find the corresponding IP to match Host3 in your unsantized logs. You will have the offending IP. Ban it. Ban its subnet.

@ebrWhere are we at with this? I see someone has downloaded the server logs, but you haven't downloaded the DM'd app logs, so I'm not sure where we stand.

Please give me a log of Emby trying to start with embyicons installed. I just fixed a problem in EmbyCredits that might be the same thing wrong here, i just want to be sure about the issue.

Thank you for your contribution on this, I would desperately want this fixed and its refreshing to see someone more technical put so much effort into helping do so. Hopefully @Lukecan get this fixed soon. Coming up to one year with this feature being broken sadly!

Well, that's interesting, because this is an indication for the problem not even being on the Emby side! It's a problem with your setup and/or hardware in some way. We can help narrowing it down if you wish.

Hi. That's not Emby for Android TV. That is Emby for Android. Until this is addressed in that app, you could try installing "Emby for Android TV" from the store.

Try shutting down the server and removing device.txt again. This will cause you to need to re-connect any Connect accounts.

These don't help. I have tried balance and efficient, these two cannot fast forward/backward. Quality solved fast forward/backward problem, but still A/V out of sync. I have tested PC speaker and HDMI pass through. Same. Exclusive audio mode on/off same. Disable refresh rate solves everything, but it is not what is supposed to be. Look. I am not here to debate. Refund or not, do whatever you like. I have seen your true faces. I will not recommend friends to use emby product. By the way, cancel my subscription for me. I feel sick even login to that system or talk to that email.

Installed Narjo and that was able to play my music from the server. Edit: I just checked again and I can play music through Jellybox from the Emby server.

Yes, I thought the same thing, however, after contacting the creator via Telegram, he explained it quite differently, one IP(i.e. Emby) can be served by multiple streams, must also set AllowUsersWithAnyToken, however this should only be used if you're using this on your own LAN and have things locked down. You can always contact the creator for verification he is very active on his Telegram, but, I'm still using this configuration and the only extra streams(duplicates, triplicates, and so on...) that show when called are from different IP's(i.e. my Jellyfin LXC) and that is exactly how it should behave. What's the correct way to create a new emby server on TrueNAS Core 13.3? The website instructions all refer to emby-server.json but that has a release of 14.1 which isn't going to work. UPDATE OK, so I've just rebuilt this manually, creating a new iocage 13.5-RELEASE FreeBSD Jail and installed all of the packages from the FreeBSD instructions here and then pkg add -f https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/download/4.10.0.40/emby-server-freebsd13_4.10.0.40_amd64.pkg This started just fine, so I recreated all of the mount points to my media folders and to the /var/db/emby-server folder, which I have in a separate dataset/pool outside the jail. This restarted fine too and everything looks to be working OK, although I haven't had the chance to give it a real test. Still no idea what's broken in the old jail, although it's probably been upgraded from TrueNAS 10 or 11, so a clean start probably does no harm (for at least for as long as 13 lasts) Thanks

Yes thank you for this but that was the guide that I followed when I installed EMBY Server as a service. Runs this way on Windows 11 perfectly.

I have an update to this. Perhaps it should be a new thread but it is probably related to the Windows Server 2025 installation. EMBY Server is running on this server as a service. Remote machines can access it and playback media so everything is defined correctly and working. When running locally neither EMBY Theater or the Web interface can replay media. The error is that the directory could not be found. The drive V: is mapped to the location of the films. I tried to add a new directory to the library, mapped drives (V:, U:, Z:) are not seen. I tried the "Network" option. It returns blank. I also tried manually typing the UNC. This also comes back as not found. So in short EMBY Server running as a service has a problem with networked media on Windows Server 2025. Running EMBY Server "normally" it runs correctly.

For me, just because it is nice to have variety. The cards view is a bit small, and the horizontal spotlight only allows you to see one item at a time, while the vertical spotlight on a horizontal display would allow it to have more impact than cards view while still allowing you to see more than one item at a time. I don't see much use of the horizontal spotlight on the phone, but on the TV all three options could work well. If the options exist, it's just an added bonus to allow the user to decide what they want it to look like.

Too many threads here people trying to back there way into updating paths when they had to change a drive letter or storage issues. It will save you significant headaches in the future. What a strange process media stubs... I didn't even know that is a thing. Is that for people with CD/DVD/VHS Changers (OTV setup from 1995... look it up kids)??? Isn't everything online? Why would anything purposely be stored "offline". It's a rhetorical question btw.
