As I'm starting to use Emby more and more as a media player, I'm also starting to discover more and more features. I just now wanted to add the song I was listening to, to my favorites to see if I could try and use that feature. So I opened the tab and tried looking for the "add to favorites"-button: Hm, there doesn't seem to be an action to add the item to my favorites here? Maybe I'll check the playlist: Maybe the context menu? There it is! While making this post I also found out there's a hover-action on the album art, which also has the favorites and settings buttons: In my opinion it would be nice to have the "add to favorites"-button also within the player itself, always visible. If it took me a little while to find these I can imagine other, less tech-savvy people not being able to find them at all.

Ok I am just about in a place where I can jump back in on Aperture, stay tuned!

Hi, yeah this is a fairly common problem and it sounds like you have already read up on how to format your music for Emby, here: https://emby.media/support/articles/Music-Naming.html and know your way around Mp3tag, etc., etc... Making "AlbumArtist" the same should ideally fix the problem, but if it doesn't, there may be other embedded tags causing problems??? - one immediate thing to check in Mp3tag (if you haven't already) is do you have any "Album Artist" tags - with a space? These are typically not shown in the LHS tag panel and you need to "View Extended Tags" to check. If these match your "Artist" they may override the "AlbumArtist" tag? Sorry if I am telling you things you know already... Beyond that, you may need to provide a specific example of a problem album to get this resolved, with the details of the embedded tags shown in Mp3tag and what you see in Emby. Do you have both "good" albums and "problem" albums? What is the difference between the two... Any other details you can provide may be helpful? Cheers!

Estou com problema de reproduzir legendas subrip. Aparecem caracteres diferentes como: @#$%&*! . Antes da atualização da nova versão para TV LG, nao tinha problema. Após isso, começou a aparecer esses caracteres. Já nos smartphones aqui, funciona perfeitamente. Quando sairá uma versão pra corrigir o problema?

WIth the beta 4 it is much better. Now it rarlely occurs and when it happens, it corrects itself after a few seconds.

Have a look at Tiny Media Manager, I saw someone else mention it in another post and this may give you the granularity you need.

@yockerfinally got around to trying this again over the weekend and now it cannot be accessed remotely?? Port 8097 has been allowed through, i can access it locally on its machine but cannot access it on the remote address nor can i access it remotely inside the LAN network, i can only access it via localhost. Screenshot shows the port open.

The limit actually exists to try and make it harder to illegally use the platform. Just as a reminder, your license is for personal use.

Why would they implement this? You're already bypassing the device limit they have intentionally imposed. They're not going to make that easier for you... If they had wanted to do that, they either wouldn't have removed the (permanent) option to buy more slots, or they'd have increased the base limit. ---- Excuse me, Mr. Police officer? Can you please stop casing that drug house so I can go buy drugs in peace? No. Obviously.

It's not possible to run more than one license on a single server. Since the one-time payment option for additional users was removed, the only way to extend the number of users without monthly payments is to run multiple server instances with multiple lifetime licenses. I really wish Emby would bring back the one-time payment for more users. I wish I would have purchased that option when it was available even thought I didn't need it.

Wondering if this has been proposed already but I am happy to continue running multiple servers with different license keys but could it be changed so that one server could support adding more than one license key? When device slots fill up on one, Then roll over new devices to another premiere key? I personally don’t mind buying more lifetime licenses I would just appreciate if it was more convenient to use them!

But that spotlight tag is the tag the rule is applying to begin with...I'm actually curious to try that now just to see how badly it breaks. @soderlund91The genre matching seems to be for partial matches, while cast is an exact match? I tried creating one for the genre “Black” and it pulled in the genres “Blackmail” and “Black Ops” as well. I tested to see if a Robert Downey cast rule would pull in both Sr. and Jr., but it actually pulled in neither.

Whenever I reboot my computer, everything else comes up within a reasonable period of time except for Emby. It will take over an hour swirling then most times I have to "restart" before I can use the system. In this example, Emby started up around 13:19ET. Let me start with the flickering issue while scrolling content, then there is the scrolling with no letters on the side to skip through the alphabet, and theme colors are non existent. Just an overall better experience. I shouldn’t have to buy Infuse to get the same experience across platforms.
