@GrimReaper Thanks for the v1.3 update! I've been using v1.2 every day for at least a couple of hours. Though, much of that time has been tagging in Mp3tag and then reviewing the end-results in Emby, plus revising. Here's some casual in-use observations... I've mainly been selecting specific Album Artists with 20+ Albums and doing: CLEAR ALL TAGS ADD+MAP RELEASETYPE ADD ROONALBUMTAG Then, if I have made an error, I select the specific Album and use any method (sometimes REPLACE) to correct the error. I think the new CLEAR options you have added for v1.3 will be very useful, once I have tagged a significant part of my library and then need to clear/change something specific without potentially messing up everything else. With initial testing, I had previously noticed that the SELECT ALBUMS drop-down menus keep the start and end of the names with "..." in the middle. This is actually very useful, because it didn't take me long to find an example where I need the end of the title to properly identify the specific Album Artist: This also makes it easy to quickly locate (e.g.) a "Top 100" Album Artist. Also, as a small test I tried updating from a folder-level - all "Zz" Albums at once. This worked with no problems. Once I finish the "Top 100" then I expect the folder-level bulk importing will be used more often. There are three minor suggestions I have for the SELECT ALBUMS section. Change "Album artist" heading to "Album Artist" to match with Mp3tag and Emby. Decrease the width of the Folder drop-down menu (perhaps same as Library) to allow for slightly wider Album Artist and Album menus. Increase the length of the drop down by 50%(?) to see more Album Artists and Albums. (If it is difficult, don't worry, it works fine as-is). I had also previously noticed the ACTIVITY LOG color coding: This is useful to show what is happening at a glance My interpretation has been: Red - no changes or an error Green - single change or ok Blue - multiple changes and ok The new color accents in v1.3 have "thrown me" a little bit. Just with the Green/Blue order. Wondering if they should be swapped to match the ACTIVITY LOG??? E.g. ADD = Blue and REPLACE = Green. Note, I haven't used this significantly as yet - this is just an initial first impression. I tend to think in color spectrum order - Blue is therefore "safer" than green. Though I guess most people don't think like that??? If what I have said is not logical for the whole GUI functions, then perhaps just keep it as it is? The v1.3 additional mapping drop downs look interesting. Currently my tags/mapping have consolidated to this: But that could all change tomorrow.... or next year...!!! Can't think of anything else at the moment - will continue with v1.3 now...

Already requested here as Thumbs currently only come from FanArt as TMDB language backdrops are not mapped.

Hi, it's not a bad idea. There's always the question of how important is it compared to other pieces of data that we're trying to show there, and then at what point does it all become too much.

Running a 2TB WD BLACK SN850X, not even half full so I doubt that is affecting it. Really wish I could revert to the previous search until a fix is ready to test out.

seems related then to the storage speed? as cpu isnt bottleneck.

Currently running v4.10.0.1b on a DS218j, updating past that to v4.10.0.8b will cause my unit to freeze and become unresponsive when trying to run. emby-server-synology7_4.10.0.8_armv7.spk DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 9

That IS odd. My library is ~80TB but I think the difference in my case might be related to the number of artists/performers/composers that are tagged on my files. I never see the Emby process use more than 15% CPU usage, even when it's locked up from a search query. I also have 10GB allocated to cache size in the settings, but the only time it's ever gotten close to using that is during a database clean/vacuum.

@Lukeor @ebrshould respond soon. I'm sure they'll add it to the list to fix, but they might ask for logs.

so weird that i have never had this happen. on windows. i do have a 24 cores 48 threads though. 35Tb library. on a hardware raid ssd setup though. when i do a search i dont even see cpu usage go up.

Addition: This doesn't happen with "Show name" directories that are only in "Shows.Incoming" and not in "Shows", just with files in "Show name" directories that exist in "Shows.Incoming" AND "Shows".

I didn’t know for a long time what the diff is between Emby for Android and Emby for Android TV and was always confusing… now that everything is moving to Emby for Android eventually I just wish we can still pay for the device unlock feature as not many Emby server ppl want premiere and lifts the burden on them

Hi Luke, I have the emby client on the fire tv cube and i only see the guide and then i play a channel but if i want to see whats on the guide again it closes the tv show i am watching. Am i missing something in the client setup? Thanks

Not sure if a delay or an increase in bandwidth would help much in this case. My Win11/13600k/32GB RAM machine will lock up just from a single search query. If a proper fix to the query itself is going to take much longer, then I would honestly prefer reverting it (where searches would take 15 seconds every time, without locking up the server)

I have a library "Series" with the directories "Shows" and "Shows.Incoming", both containing subdirectories like "Show name". Access to the Incoming directory is explicitly removed for regular users (unchecked). I put new files into "Shows.Incoming/Show name/" to check them without regular users seeing them, before later moving them over. That worked fine until recently, when files there started being accessible for regular users regardless of that removed access to anything under "Shows.Incoming".

I may have found something. I have a duplicate movie. There is only 1 filename for both entries. I happened to notice IMDB has an AKA for the name. Black Gold (2011) is also Day Of The Falcon (2011). I have both movies, in different filenames, different folders. But Emby is seeing it as the same movie name and for some reason the same filename. See if your movie title is also known as something else and you have is stored under both names.

Is there a workaround for this, grouping notifications for one a day? I fell that this will never ever be changed to be able to set once a day notifications

Thanks for posting @visproductionand I'm not saying it's easy, I don't know. My limited experience with running SQL statements tells me things can get very complex. However, it seems this request is just pushed aside for other things; everyone wants something, it's my own opinion that this should be prioritized. Others agree, others don't agree.
