Plugin: EmbyCredits, detect end credits and add auto skip.
yocker replied to yocker's topic in Plugins
Should be able to rig something together now that it has auto backup. It will require the backups as a database though. Old know it all mode engaged. Chromaprint is a files fingerprint that can be used to identify sounds -

Sure, and I've seen them pop in occasionally over the years, but this many in this short a span of time is unusual.

You would need to ask Apple But I guess it's a bunch for programmers sweating in cubicles.

MediaInfo For Emby Plugin(HDR, Vision, Atmos, DTS:X)
rbjtech replied to Cheesegeezer's topic in Plugins
@Gaevonn I've now added this as an option rather than just overwrite it .. If you don't enable the option highlighted below (default is Off) then it will keep the previous MKV General Title value. You may need to clear the cache to load the new js. v 1.0.2.2 Emby.MediaInfo.dll -
The same a always, they see Emby's name in the app, and can't figure out that Emby is just the software that runs on a server. They don't even read about it, before asking questions.

+1 for me, a cheap used Intel A380 would be a very compelling addition if AV1 HW encoding is implemented. FYI: AV1 playback works on macOS in Chrome and even Safari and with the Android app, I will add further working platforms I encounter. I would really appreciate honest documentation what potentially works depending on device rather than straight-up denying it exists.

Yep. Or even Local Collection + Local Playlist, or Local Collection/Playlist + Media Info. Everything in the James Bond collection with Daniel Craig in the cast, for example, which would auto-update if he came back and played Bond in another movie (which is unlikely, but if we were having this conversation back in 2007...).

Thanks seanbuff ! hadn't ventured into devices before but should have, I had a ton, probably 30-40. Smart TV's I hadn't had in years, old browser sessions from 2-or 3 years ago, iPad's and iPhones galore, etc. Didn't even have to rename the working one, it was easy to find because all the varients had the "Emby for iOS ver 2.2.xx" labeled and I just deleted all but the latest pair 2.2.51, one for the local and one for the embyconnect user. All's cleaned up now and everything works like a charm - Thanks again !

That's the third? fourth? person in the past day or so to post here failing to understand what Emby is. What's going on?

Plugin: EmbyCredits, detect end credits and add auto skip.
sydlexius replied to yocker's topic in Plugins
Briefly, I just want scheduled task scans run once per episode. If it detects credits, great. If it doesn't that's okay too. Just don't re-run the same episode unless there were too few episodes in a season for chromaprint (if enabled) to do its thing. If I want to tweak settings or re-scan in the plugins UI, that's on me. Please don't aske to ELI5 "chromaprint", because I barely understand ityself - Today

Bug report/feature request: Dolby TrueHD 7.1 transcodes into 192 kBit/s mp3 for Chrome client
AV1Opus posted a topic in General/Windows
Hi all, although I am amazed by the quality of this software and purchased Emby Premier Lifetime under another e-mail address, I find this automatic choice rather appalling. Stats for nerds: Audio English TRUEHD 7.1 (Default) 48000 Hz -> Transcode (MP3 192 kbps) I can't seem to configure it anywhere, I would like to go for Opus 256 kBit/s for stereo and have higher bitrate for 5.1 and 7.1, which all of my devices support anyway. Thanks -
Nice work ! But i have 1 question. Do you have any idea how to swap the seasons folder under the series photo ?

playback is often paused, crashes, freezes but for a specific user (its the wife-BIG problem :))
Zeltak replied to Zeltak's topic in MacOS
Hi @alex77777 and @Luke i turned off all encoding for my wifes user and still get both pauses and now even crashes where the video will just stop and go back to the emby main menu @Luke, i have tried and replicate this with 5-6 different series on both the mac and Appletv (seprate rooms in the house one with wifi and the ATV on the LAN). this happens anytime of the day thx Z -

Not exactly sure how EMBY gets it's EPG guide data but is it possible to add some missing EPG data for OTA zip code 53590 ? Channels missing guide data are 8.1 to 8.8 Plex, HDHomerun and Channels for HDHomerun all retrieve the correct guide data. See attachments.

Problems reading music video clips with Samsung
SamES replied to Tandhruil's topic in Samsung Smart TV
Can you please try playback again with just the last test with the newfile and the metadata updated, and turn on stats for nerds on the tv during playback and send a picture of the details? Please also let me know what that playback quality looks like -
If he's going to redirect 80 to 443 then that defeats the purpose of using SNI to prevent domain name discovery as it will be revealed in the redirect. If port 80 is used only for cert renewal then I guess it could be done in a way that doesn't reveal anything, like a dead-end page. DNS-01 is another acme challenge option and it doesn't need inbound connections to validate. SNI is not a security feature. It's just handy when used this way to hide information and force snoopers to try harder. And if reverse lookups return the name then it's not useful in that regard.

Hey Luke! It's a mystery to me, but I simply turned off port fowarding on my router and turned it back on. It solved the problem. I'm not a "techie" so I consider this solution an accident. I'm happy! Thanks for your help and support. Enjoy your Emby! I know I will! - Joe
