Hello, I have the same issue. I am using LG webOS 25 and the Turkish subtitles are broken; for example, the letters ş, ğ, ü, ç, and ö are corrupted. Also, it was the same on the Tizen operating system when I last used it 1 week ago.

Hello Emby team, After some Synology applications were dropped/shut due to lack of memory on my DS920+ (8Gb memory), on 12-march I realized EmbyServer service was using >4GB of memory. Reading through topics I tried most suggestions: reduced the scanning library refresh intervals, removed unnecessary plug-ins, reviewed DB Cache and lines analysis - apparently the situation stabilized - so I thought - Got to 40% utilization, gradually increasing, decreasing... around 60% within manageable boundaries. Even to minimize overall NAS, I added 2xNVMe and pinned the BRTFS (where most of the library is stored). This also apparently attenuated the symptoms for a couple of days (up to 60% memory utilization - around 2.5Gb for Emby). However, this morning, without any specific user peak (2-3 simultaneous) or library scans, the memory utilization spiked again to >85% (3.5Gb for Emby) - then other Synology services were impacted (Universal Search and Indexing - which already have only music and photo folders indexed to minimize the consumption). Looking through Synology LogCenter, there's no other services behaving differently - only Log Center a little higher than usual, from 200Mb to 300Mb, but these 100Mb are far from being the cause. Then, I fully shutdown EmbyServer and the memory usage dropped to 30% immediately as expected. After start EmbyServer again the memory spiked faster than ever in 10 minutes with only 1 user as you can see per the green arrow in the chart below. I'm attaching the EmbyServer Log and a few snapshots to help elucidate this: - Real-Time Memory Utilization Resource Monitor when the server at 80%, shut, restarted and went from 30% to 60-ish% in a15 min. Weekly History range of memory consumption - March 13th midnight around 50%, peaked up to 85%, a first restart 14-mar 8AM, and the most recent in the right. 100% SSD Cache hit rate since the restart. (Expected since BRTFS is pinned) Considering many other testimonies and topics in the forum, seems like a common issue related to multiple plug-ins, library loops, database cache, but nothing seem to match my particular scenario. Is there any way other than run EmbyServer in Docker, that I could do limit the memory consumption on the native application of Emby ? I'd really like to avoid migrate to another docked instance to prevent that - since there are also some other performance related topics with this architecture I'm now running 4.10 - don't recall version 4.9 and under having such memory growth either (I've been running emby since 4.7 for more than an year without any significant changes in the library size and plug-in adoption) - would downgrade to 4.9 be an option ? I’m running into an issue on the latest version where I’m no longer able to save the tesseract api endpoint when using a docker container name (for example, http://tesseract-ocr:8100). I now get an error message saying that only localhost and local network addresses are allowed.

I get this similar problem as well, I've changed/moved Paths for file locations to several movies/TV shows and EMBY doesn't release the old path/Location i.e (A: to D or V, H etc..) and it'll still show it's in A and wont release it from A, and I haven't done one thing though, (I have not deleted the A drive from the library from the core settings yet, I need it to still see what I lost from the A drive crash) which I can't ATM which is probably hindering my progress I'm sure, But I figured It should still notice the File move anyways, should it not? any Ideas how I can move forward with redirecting or pointing the server to the new paths? Like images show I know for a fact those shows are not in A: and All of them are still showing up as in A, and wont change to new location/Path TIA Beef. embyserver.txt

Been working on this for a while and I don't think it's a permissions issue. I checked the logs and see this: 2026-03-14 12:48:17.522 Error FfmpegManager: ProcessRun 'ffmpeg -hide_banner -version' Error Output: ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libtheoraenc.so.2" not found, required by "libavcodec.so.59" I then checked the Transcoding section for this Emby server (4.9.3.0) and there are no Software Encoders listed. I checked the Transcoding section for my other three Emby servers, all of which play ALL my movies just fine, and they all have H.264 (AVC) and H.265 (HEVC) listed as Software Encoders. I'm assuming that's the issue, however, I checked the Video Codec for the movies that play and for those that don't. They are they same - H264 - MPEG-4 AVC. What differs is the Audio Codec. The movies that play are MPEG AAC (Audio (m4a) and the ones that don't are A52 Audio (aka AC3) (a52). Any suggestions on how to get these to play? If the issue has to do with the "libtheoraenc.so.2" object, how can I get that instaleld?

what is the problem ? The only issue I see is that 8.8 is not in the lineup for USA-OTA53590 but 8.1 to 8.7 are there Go settings for Live TV and click on channels tab and see if 8.1 to 8.7 are mapped to USA-OTA53590 channels 8.1 to 8.7 and do a guide refresh (Note that Emby Server caches guide data for 24 hours so if there is a recent change in the lineup, you might need to wait for the cache to expire) The following is from a test I did where I mapped uk channels 61 to 67 to your lineup channels 8.1 to 8.7 and there is guide data. Ignore the logos - they are my UK channels logos 61 is 8.1, 62 is 8.2 and so on

Cool. I was thinking about that and figured there would be a way but hadn't explored it. Isn't this unlikely these days unless the user disables auto https? And in those cases they should recognize why something failed to connect. In the end if there are ways to improve usability without having to compromise security then every bit helps.

That's not necessarily true; the redirect can simply tell the client to make the same request, but via https on port 443. It doesn't have to tell the client which name it should use, just 'use the same host+path, but with a different protocol+port'. In nginx that looks like: server{ listen 80 default_server; location / { return 301 https://$host$uri; } } Some browsers won't automatically try https, so if you don't provide a port 80 redirect and the user doesn't explicitly type https://, the client will only try 80 and fail to connect.

You should have a setting in user display setting.

All tv shows do not show the episode picture unless it is played. If I mark an episode played then the episode picture shows up and the description. I tried removing the identity, reloading metadata, creating a new tv show library and moving a series into it. Still will not show. Any suggestions would help. Not sure what to do besides rebuild it. Thanks for the response @user24it's been a huge help in pinpointing the cause. I attempted to re-tag the albums and noticed it fails to write tags to some tracks, and these are the exact same tracks that have problems in Emby.. So it seems some of the tracks are corrupt. I did a fresh rip today and everything is working as expected. Thanks again

While I'm not trying to be rude... Jellyfin supports now ... Already. Why are some of these features not working??.. and if not working documentation should be better to let people know.. been fighting issues in my thread wasting time thinking it's my system.. when it's just an emby issue.

Updated to add in ordering for About, and fixed that ugly orange box around the episode season/title as shown in the screenshot above. Emby Navy and Gold v2.8.css

*** UPDATE *** My Drive had filled up. After some thorough cleansing and compacting, I am back in business.

Thanks! This is by far the most important missing feature for me. Probably the only thing I really need that Emby doesn't already do. I specifically paid for Emby Premiere for the offline play capability, but without these advances, it's not really usable.

Copilot walked me through several solutions that finally solved the problem. It was a permission issue tied to how I had the share setup between the Nas and the pc.
