Sollte es hier richtig zugeordnet werden und die Bilder geladen werden, wissen wir das es nicht an Emby liegt, sondern wohl an dem Gerät wo der Server darauf läuft. Ich gebe hier natürlich Bescheid... Of course, I've already tested all of this, without success But as I said, I'll test it again later with a new movie series on my main server, the Synology. If the files are assigned correctly here and the images load, we'll know it's not Emby's fault, but rather the device running the server. I'll let you know here, of course...

Hi Team, I am using "toast" messages in my plugins more and more and i am unable to get control over their timeout. public class MessageCommand { public string Header { get; set; } public string Text { get; set; } public long? TimeoutMs { get; set; } } I have upped the timeout to 15000 ms and the most i get is 3 seconds (which is better than default but not 15000 ms) . tested on on Android and Webclient (4.10.0.25 alhtough not a recent issue). I mention it as a potential issue although 3 seconds is probably enough for my needs. What spurred me to raise this, was a user complained that they recieved as message of what i assume was from me restarting the server, but it went so quickly they couldnt read it so rang me (they were on webclient on internet over 1Gbit connection end to end, playing a show). Perhaps even the inbuilt messages are not getting enough screentime love?

I'd definitely appreciate the option to exclude libraries from the screensaver. While creating a restricted user account is a workaround, it's no use when we want to watch films but dont want the backdrops as a screensaver.

Is it safe to upgrade my F4-425 to TOS7? I don't use hardware transcoding. Or should I wait and check back in a couple weeks?

Is TMDB meta-downloader enabled in your Collections library (Settings>Library tab in the sidebar>edit Collections library)? If it is, try unticking/ticking it back again and then refresh one collection, see how does that compare.

Ich dachte eigentlich, dass ich das mit meinen Bildern und meiner Beschreibung dazu ziemlich genau erklärt habe Es ist völlig egal ob ich einzelne Sammlungen oder alle die Metadaten aktualisiere oder bei allen, das Ergebnis bleibt dasselbe, die Sammlungen bleiben ohne Bilder. Ich habe auch die Film Bibliothek komplett entfernt und neu angelegt, auch hier werden zwar in der Biblothek alle Bilder und Beschreibungen gefunden, diese werden aber nicht für die Sammlungen genutzt, die bleiben leer wie in meinem Bild in Post 1. Auch ein kompletter neuer Suchlauf der Bibliothek mit dem erneuern der Bilder und Metadaten, bringt hier nichts. Ich habe das ganze nur auf einem neuen Server getestet, weil in meinem anderen Forum, wo ich noch aktiv bin, dort ein User genau dasselbe Problem gepostet hatte. Ich konnte das dann nachstellen um es dann hier zu melden... Wie gesagt, auf meinem Hauptserver der Synology sind diese Bilder bei den Sammlungen alle vorhanden, dieser läuft aber schon ein paar Jahre. Ich gehe aber davon aus, das wenn ich neue Filmreihen hinzufügen würde, diese auch keine Bilder mehr bekommen würden, was ich aber erst testen kann, wenn ich eine hinzufüge. Ich versuche das aber auch noch nachzustellen. I also completely removed the movie library and recreated it; here, too, all the images and descriptions are found in the library, but they aren’t used for the collections—they remain empty, just like in my screenshot in Post 1. Even a complete re-scan of the library, with the images and metadata refreshed, doesn’t help here. I only tested this on a new server because a user on my other forum, where I’m still active, had posted about the exact same problem. I was then able to reproduce it so I could report it here... As I said, on my main Synology server, these images are all present in the collections, but that server has been running for a few years now. I assume, however, that if I were to add new movie series, they wouldn’t get any images either—though I can’t test that until I actually add one. I’ll try to reproduce that as well.

Dear all, It is known that the original Synology i915 drivers do NOT support transcoding any more. However, there is a workaround - either to be installed manually or even via the community package center (Package name: Transcode for x25) or via a script. For more information, see Github: https://github.com/007revad/Transcode_for_x25 There is only Plex and Jellyfin mentioned which definitely will use this drivers for transcoding. Does anyone have experience with these drivers and Emby? @ Developers: any comment on that? Regards, Jens

Ich habe jetzt die „Version 4.10.0.25 beta“ Installiert und mal ein wenig mit der neuen Einstellung der Startseite gespielt ... es ist wirklich faszinierend, was alles möglich ist. Man muss aber auch dazu sagen, dass man die neuste Android App Version auf seinem Gerät installiert haben sollte, damit alle Einstellungen auch den gewünschten Effekt zeigen. Hier meine Ansicht im Browser: Auf meinem Fire-TV 4K Stick sah es aber mit der alten App Version 2.1.xy leider so aus: Die Änderungen wurden ebenfalls nicht übernommen, auch nach einem Neustart des Sticks keine Veränderung. Ich habe dann die Aktuelle Emby für Android (nicht TV) 3.5.37 Installiert ... und siehe da zuerst: Dann noch ein wenig mit den Einstellungen experimentiert ... Et voilà! Beim Runter Scrollen wird dann schön Reihe für Reihe ... alles so angezeigt wie im Browser Voreingestellt! Nun brauche ich auch die lange von mir gewünschte Funktion zur Ansicht der Bewertungen unter den Filmen in der Hauptansicht nicht mehr! Es wird mir alles angezeigt, sobald ich einen Film oder Serien in der Vorschau Markiere. Das ist wirklich Wunderbar Diesen Schalter habe ich gefunden, dieser muss zwingend auf „On“ sein: Er ist nur über den Browser am PC zu finden, im Stick-Menü habe ich ihn nicht (Keine Admin-Rechte am Stick) gefunden. Nun müssen nur noch alle Familien Sticks ein Update haben, dann ist alles wunderbar. @Emby Team ... Danke für eure Arbeit!

Hello, thanks a lot for your answer. In the browsers (Chrome or Firefox) the trailers are very good. In the app only, the trailers are just ignored. Strange, isn't it ? I should mention that I have an Emby Premiere subscription.

What client? What device? What server version? Y'know, anything that might give a clue what you are even using... Paul

I have no experience of NASes, but I would assume that they would have at least some firewall capabilities available, as virtually all operating systems do. In my case, my main firewall is in my router - but that is of a type aimed at SMEs rather than domestic use (the simpler domestic routers may simply rely on IPv4 NAT for security, though that's not good enough if you have IPv6). Hi, here's a better detail on two different plateforms: Chrome Navigator When I access the emby application on my computer using the chrome navigator. I go to the folder, or the films & movies, Indicate the menu to show thumnails of elements in the folder. Then I hover over the film with that has the movie_name-thumb.gif file in the folder but the thumbnail shown is just the first frame of the gif, no animation. Interestingly. If I left-click the movie, and then go to edit images, left-click on the thumb image, the menu displaed shows the image and it is animated. Showing that it is "technically" feasible to make it happen on the main menu. Android App It works!!! Just accessing the folder, and displaying thumbs and the gif is automatically animated. This could be annoying if many files are there since all gif woild be running. One might have to be sure to have a gif as thumb and a jpg as default to be able to chose to display the animated and static images at will going through the menus.

I just scanned my movie library to add the Psycho collection. Emby is listing Psycho (1960), but not Psycho (1998). Is their a way to fix it where it will list both movies? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well yes, but this was always with TV shows in mind. You most probably wouldn't watch the credits multiple times. I usually don't skip the credits for a movie, I like to play it out, especially when I really enjoyed it.

I am all for this function but i just wanted to mention here that having this one last shot after the credits serves exactly the purpose of making people read the credits. There's a lot of people involved in making a good movie and most of the times only main actors, directors and the executive producers are mentioned and known to the public. And while we all have just little time at hand i would argue that maybe it might be worth to think about not having a credit-skip-button for the sake of all the cable carriers, light people, stunt men and all the other involved folks.

I would assume so? I'm not sure which equipment would be involved here; my NAS isn't on the internet directly as far as I know.

Aha... The only other thing I can mention that might help is that you do have control over which libraries each user can see. If you limit the children only to libraries of family and children type of media, then when they login that should be all they see. Their adult parent can login with their user name and see other libraries. I am not sure if trailers would also sort correctly in for kids with limited access to only their libraries. Then the subtitles is whole other issue. It is tricky. Hope that helps.

Thanks.. your probably right and it was scanning and cleaning up the location. I just helped it out, and took cleanup out of the equation. I had it scanning all day and it's 95% through.
