Crashing a lot on Google Streamer 4k

OK we’ll take a look at it. Thanks
  4. Hi, what makes you think the Apple TV can handle truehd natively on its own?
  5. Hi, yes we can add it in the next country expansion request. Thanks
  6. Hi, I don’t have an ETA, but it’s in our plans. Thanks.
  7. Hi, we’ll take a look at it. Thanks.

    Cinema Intro No Compatible Streams

Hi, as soon as it gets through Samsung review. Thanks.

    Proxy path whitelisting

That's why I switched to mTLS on my Reverse Proxy instead of path whitelists lately.
  10. Hi, yes it does take this long unfortunately.
  11. I would try adding a new movie and see how that compares.

External STR subtitle file not showing up!

Hi there, where are you looking for it? What exactly did you scan?
  13. Hi, we’ll take a look at it. Thanks.

  15. Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
  16. Hi, I haven’t heard of users paying for audio db. I think most should be about to use it for free. But yes, audio db and fanart both depend on music brains ids. The providers you enable and prioritize are your preference based on your media and what they have on their website .
  17. Thanks for all the help, but nothing seemed to work so I just tried downloading another video and the subtitles were baked into the video and that worked. There was no separate SRT and they weren't embedded.
  18. Thanks for the tip on getting these subtitles. But the problem is that originally I had the separate SRT subtitle file and it wasn't showing them in the Roku Emby app, only the web Emby app.
  19. Hi again @Lukeso does this typically take Samsung a month of Sundays to update an app? It has literally been an age and yet zero sign of the app showing up in the app store in NZ. Surely there are other folk with 2022 TV's that dont want to sideload the app every month to be able to view simple trailers? Any clue as to why it's taking Samsung so long please?
  20. Yes, they show up on the Emby web app, also when I play them with VLC or the old media player classic.

    Ubuntu

I installed emby server using the universal installer in a clean install of ubuntu 24.04 and the service doesn't start. It says: emby-server[14486]: /opt/emby-server/bin/emby-server: 22: exec: /opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer: Permission denied Running ls -l on the file I get: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 78872 Aug 21 2017 /opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer I tried both the beta and stable options with the same results. What should I do?

    embyforkodi (next-gen) 12.X.X support

Iso files should work in addon mode, yes. When you removed it, you need to trigger a repair sync in the plugin. "/Downloads/data/media/movies/movie name(year)/file.iso" I assume the the path your Emby server accesses the file, and is not available on Kodi. You need to modify the path substitution on Emby server for that library and point it to the locaction Kodi can access it too. If you use a smb share, you need too map in in Kodi's filebrowser too. Native file access is not that easy to set-up.

Unable to save TrueHD as audio selection

Yes I agree, this was just a fix I found. I've mentioned this to the developers and they said they should be able to update the app to fix this. It was from this thread:

Unable to play videos through browser

Followed up with a couple users and some do, some don't where the subtitles just don't show up at all.
  26. Which is notoriously weak (they've just added HEVC support recently, like a millenia after competition did) for media consumption compared to some other browsers . Try MS Edge or Thorium.

    No compatible streams

Hmmm... strange. I thought viewing through the web page would be easier and thought I should do that before I attempted to view on the TV but surprise! It works on my ONN/TV. I can view there but not on my computer. Of course I will be watching on the TV but I'd still be curious what went wrong and it would be nice to fix this.
