It's been many years that I've been waiting for this feature to come back, and I think this idea is the best compromise to accommodate both types of users: people who want the features and people who don't want the features. In my opinion, people who want the "Immersive Gesture Playback Controls" are usually the ones who are willing to spend time tinkering with the settings and to toggle certain features on/off. For Apple users, they may have the Infuse app that works perfectly well with Emby Server. However, as an Android user myself, the closest thing to Infuse I can find is Vidhub, it has the immersive gesture control just like Infuse but it is nowhere close to Infuse/Emby in terms of the automatic management of downloaded media like TV Shows, the downloaded media are not automatically grouped together into seasons and series, the downloads do not automatically include external subtitle files from the server, and the series can't be play successively one after another. My conclusion is that the original Emby for Android app is still the best app for watching downloaded media from Emby Server. I have been a lifetime Emby Premiere user for quite many years now and I really think that this feature would be a huge plus to many users who enjoy the immersive experience of gesture controls. So if there is any possible way that this feature can be brought back to life, I would sincerely be very grateful. Again, thank you for all the hard work and I truly appreciate everything that the Emby team has done.

It ahouldn't matter what is listed here, as the Play Store will give you the latest version, whether Stable of Beta. Hopefully @ebrcan confirm the current version of Stable for Google and Amazon, as I am seeing 2.1.29 as the Stable version on the forums, but that may just apply to the Google release. Then I will update.

Hey..I just tested on my mobile (Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold) with 3.5.28 Same scene no subtitles. Can you check if it's direct play or transcoding. If I transcoder the subtitles immediately show up but direct play isn't showing it. Also my server 4.9 - could that have anything to do with it?

Good Call! I was searching for categories of movies a couple months ago & never cleared the filters when I stopped looking. Once I cleared the filters, the "missing" movies all showed up. Thank you!!

Thank you please do @CBersas this whole navigating Emby versions is confusing to me and my mate? I had to do trial n error with the diff versions i.e. android vs android tv

My initial tests on a Samsung phone running Emby for Android 3.5.31 and Emby Server 4.10.0.8 shows the subtitles Thus was the selected subtitle stream and playback does show subtitles I will next try on an Nvidia Shield

You are correct, 2.1.23g is the latest Google play store stable release, whereas 2.1.29a was the latest Amazon stable release. Maybe @CBerscan update the Latest Versions page to reflect that to avoid confusion. While I understand the current implementation, I'd also like to see better continuity across all Emby platforms, regardless of whichever version, app or browser is being used.

Hmm yes appears to be from here but now I’m more confused? How is Emby client 2.1.29 here? It’s not even in the android tv play store? 2.1.23 from Dec 24 still showing there? there’s no release notes for 2.1.29 either?

I recently lost access to my Gmail account. How do I change my email address so I still receive premiere keys etc or if I want to upgrade/delete my emby.

That's now done via the server. What version of Emby server are you running?

Good call, didnt think to try that. So, did a re-install, and same issue still! Am going to try roll-back to a previous build of windows, and see where we are at then! Edit: Dangit!!!! Because i did a re-install... cant roll back to a previous build! Will have to look at doing a full re-install of Window.. will have to be this weekend tho! OK weird 2.1.44 did fix my broken YouTube trailers but now don’t know how to change Home Screen layout under settings
