I moved and now I can't access my WAN emby server

I interpreted the post to mean the Emby server host was put in the DMZ. -
Daftpunkmx12 started following Emby server is shutting down from nowhere
-
Hi, I've been having problems with my Emby server. It keeps stopping unexpectedly, and I don't know how to read or interpret the logs. Can anyone help me figure out if there's something wrong with my server or with the Emby server itself? Only the Emby server stops; the server itself doesn't shut down, and I have to run `service emby-server restart` to get it running again. I've attached the logs from before it shut down and after restarting the Emby server. I hope someone can help me. Thanks. embyserver.txt embyserver-63907649703.txt

Well OK, consider though that if LG did an update you didn't notice or some other update happened, not Emby, the symptom could be the same. Subs used to work and now they don't. To really test that it is an Emby issue, can someone see if the subtitles from these files still work on an older Emby version? Until you test that it could be some other change that caused this problem.

Future technical roadmap: Any plans for Rust integration?
WDPR4100 posted a topic in Feature Requests
Hi Emby Team, First of all, thank you for the amazing work on the server. The stability and cross-platform support are already impressive. I’ve been following the recent industry shifts towards Rust, especially for high-performance and memory-safe backend services (like what Discord or Cloudflare have done). Given that Emby handles heavy I/O tasks and concurrent streaming, I was wondering if there are any long-term plans to rewrite certain core components (like the library scanner or the networking layer) in Rust to further improve performance and resource management? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this technical evolution! Best regards. - Today

Yes, it's been confirmed that exact same media files work on older Emby server versions.

Hi everybody, Is there a way to add a tag to all nested movies in specific folder? For example I have two folders "FAV" and "FAV_OR_DEL" and I want to show specific tags in movies library depending in which the movie is placed. If I understand correctly it's not possible right now? At least that's what google is saying and I seen some forum topics about missing support for bulk tagging? Also additional question: what's the simplest and best way to view all unidentified movies? As I understand the current way to do it is to use Missing Metadata filters, correct?

Wouldn't bother asking if it weren't? But seriously, if it's causing havoc or giving you too much of a headache - forget it, work on something that'd benefit the majority, I'll manage.

Excellent for me (one of the previously closed beta testers) Are you using the latest drivers for your GPU/iGPU? I had dropped frames with high-bitrate playback because the client relies on YOUR installed drivers (they aren't updated/included with the Emby client). After updating drivers, all is fine. The Web player may be working fine because: It's forcing the server to transcode it down to something your client can play back smoothly. The bitrate can be lowered in the beta, too. The web browser is using its own HW accelerators. other? So @chesterseenes316please give it a try, the only thing you have to lose is your time. (Report back any problems!)

I'm trying to install Emby on my NAS. I reached a point where I don't know how to continue. Here is screenshot of where I left off.

Tracearr is even better and has Emby support. https://tracearr.com/

Yes, that works. This doesn't: That is what cannot be achieved/does not produce Status icon: no Subtitle Language, no Original Language, yes Status.
-
You were as said not really wrong.. Resolutions do my head in tbh., so many different kinds and even TV manufactures cheating with them, for example calling 3840 x 1080 for 4K, I got scammed by Sony once with a TV like that, the X800H i think it was called, it was a big scandal at the time but no one ever got their money back from Sony. Sony, if you are reading this... F*** YOU! I WANT MY MONEY BACK STILL!
-
Not sure if I explained the issue properly: there's no Status icon if Subtitle Languages are not enabled - that should be decoupled. Setting placement is minor, I don't mind it there as long it exists.

Thank you for the kind words. I don't really want this in the store as if i some day abandon the plugin (sickness or what ever) it would look bad on the Emby team to have it in the store. The fact that it's free also eases things a little as i don't have to be scared of cheating people out of their money some how. I have been toying with the ideer of making a white list for languages and will add it at some point. For now a solution would be to set the plugin to only use custom icons and only add the languages you want to use, you can find the icons the plugin uses in the github under "Embededicons" It will require you to change the names of the icons from eg. ac.truehd.png to ac_truehd.png though, so bit of work.

Guess I really should have said it's neither 720p nor 1080p (like a few others), it really should just be called "HD", with an aspect ratio?
