I have tried to download several movies to my Android tablet and after conversion, all but 1 remain stuck in a Ready to Transfer status. I have tried to remove all downloads, restart the emby server, then redownload but the same issue arises. On my tablet, download settings are configured to save on System Storage (SD Card) which is a 128 GB card with about 50% free space). I have tried toggling the Download only on Wifi config to no effect and have tried clearing app cache and reopenning. My server is running Version 4.9.3.0 on a Debian host within a Proxmox environment. It would be good to have a visual indication of whether or not a rule is being applied, and what tag it's applying. At the moment I have to dig into each scheduled rule individually to check its date range, and dig into each rule to see which tag it applies. I have a ton of media that's tagged “spotlight” right now and shouldn't be, and it's a challenge to try and figure out where it's gone wrong.

Going to http://localhost:8096 seems to show the server?

When I look at emby web in TV Shows, then hit genres tab, this is what I am getting: Below, same thing in Movies. Half of genres do not have that emby montage image. Also, notice the movies posters appearing as well in tv shows, and vice versa. ???

Good question; how do I confirm that? Trying to enter the URL in chrome on either my phone or desktop just searches google for the http.

Hi Luke, you are right, but as you know Director is the most important thing about a movie, and if you have f.ex. 50 actors, you have to scroll and scroll and scroll to find the most important thing. That's why it is displayed in the web app in the first place. As you know most of us are watching movies on our televisions. But OK, if this isn't displayed in any TV layouts, it's about time again, because it has been there once upon a time. Could you please move this to Feature Requests.

Maybe the Emby App you're running think your TV doesn't support AC3. Which version of the Emby App are you using? Is it the LG native app?

I tried playing the TrueHD track but it got transcoded. I then turned off all transcoding on the server and it could direct play the TrueHD track no problem.

Hi, I don't know how long the director has been missing from the movie details screen, but I'm sure, that the director has been there in the past. I don't believe that's a deliberate choice. Of course you can get the director, if you scroll right in Cast & Crew, but.... Attached is a screenshot from LG TV app and from the same page from Edge browser in Windows 11, where you can see the Director just below Overview field.

Can you access the server from a browser on your phone on the same wifi network? Have you checked your firewall?

@speechlesunfortunately, the app log doesn't contain the exact issue but I can derive that the crash is very likely to be occurring on line 1231 or 1232 (or perhaps after) of VideoPlayer so please investigate that.

Hello, I am having trouble balancing episodes on my Channels. For instance, I have a channel of animated sitcoms like simpsons, futurama, family guy etc. What I would like is for random ordered episodes, between 1 to 3 episodes at a time. This works perfectly until one of two scenarios happens based on the episode balancing: 1. When the shortest show, here let's say futurama, reaches its final episode, all series restart from episode 1 regardless of how far into their episode count they are (for instance South Park will never get much farther past season 10). 2. The second situation happens when balancing episodes the other way. In this scenario episodes are appropriately gathered for guide data, but once a show runs out of episodes it never plays again until all other shows have played theirs, leading to one show overtaking all others eventually as it has the most episodes (like Simpsons in this scenario) This of course causes the channel to eventually only play that show until it completes and the playlist restarts with all shows starting at episode 1. What I would like is for a random selection of shows playing ordered episodes with no regard for the other shows and what episode they may be on. One show could be on its 22nd season while another show has restarted entirely. Is this possible? Thank you for all your hard work on this wonderful program. Legitimately the reason I got Emby.

If you do, then you may be having a Double NAT. There is a specific section in the article about multiple routers and what to do to ensure the port forward reaches the target machine
