I moved and now I can't access my WAN emby server
drpickles replied to drpickles's topic in General/Windows
Okay I restarted both gateway and router and this is what I have now. Glad to know I'm not behind a CGNAT. Still don't have access to my WAN server but I'm one step closer. -
I would like to know this too. Playlist (Live) seems perfect but I dont want to add too much extra overhead on my server. How does it work in the background? Is it just keeping an eye on the time a show starts and putting us at the point of the show depending on the current time when we click on the channel? i.e. no extra overhead?

I moved and now I can't access my WAN emby server
Lessaj replied to drpickles's topic in General/Windows
Yes the change may not apply right away, a recycle of the device(s) or at the very least an interface release/renew is a good idea. I think you should see your actual external IP on the MSI router afterwards. I think this method is the same thing as what my ISP gateway calls DMZ, I can only assign a single device to be in the DMZ which would work for my WAN interface on pfSense but I have a second interface that I also use so that would still need to have port fowarding rules and be double NAT. I don't think there' any measurable performance trade off to run it in router mode either way. -

For what it's worth you don't need to use DHCP-fixed for passthrough. You can use DHCP-dynamic without needing additional details as long as you only have one device, your router, connected to the AT&T gateway LAN ports. Also restart gateway and router after you make the changes. -

Yeah I did the drop down menu and it just puts it in the window. Still doesn't work but I think we were on the right track. -
alex77777 started following Live TV Guide Detail Screen Revamp
-
Ive notice that the live tv guide on the Apple TV doesn't display the season and episode number when you hover over the show like how other clients do. You have to click on the episode to see what season and episode number it is. It also doesn't display if its a repeat/premiere/live/new unless you click on it. Seems the detail screen is missing quite a bit of data and could use a revamp. Also would be nice to have the colored backgrounds option based on the category of the show or movie like other clients. Thanks

Make Card background transparent for custom icons in 4.10.03
Luke replied to Mobius's topic in Windows & Xbox
Hi, yes that is correct. -
This is also the case with my guide as well. so you don't have it set up incorrectly. I think this might just be a mistake/bug. Hopefully it gets fixed in the near future.

My Emby web client shows Version 4.9.3.0 — in case that's helpful.

User Perrmissions Dependent on the Content Being Viewed
alex77777 replied to alex77777's topic in Apple TV
So it is still lossless audio, that's good to hear. Do you have plans to look at this in the future so we don't have to do this trick/loophole to get proper Dolby Vision, lossless audio, and PGS subtitle playback? Thanks for the insight on how this works, I appreciate all the help -
Hi there, have you explored the options on the m3u setup screen?

I moved and now I can't access my WAN emby server
Lessaj replied to drpickles's topic in General/Windows
Okay you switched ISPs so that defnitely changes things. From what I can tell from the help on the side you've likely done it correctly, though you should see the router in the drop down menu which is more friendly than using the MAC address. MAC addresses are pretty safe to share, they contain some information about the manufacturer of the NIC but aren't really routable - layer 2 switches would use MAC addresses. I would recommend contacting your ISP to ask. P.S. You can use win+shift+s to take more manageable screenshots. -
Jator started following Channel Logos

Can we get an option to use the logos included in the M3U vs. defaulting to the logos from the EPG guide? I use a lot of custom icons and I have to remap them after I link the guide to the m3u?

I moved and now I can't access my WAN emby server
drpickles replied to drpickles's topic in General/Windows
Yes I switched from Spectrum to ATT and got a new gateway. I looked to see how I can put it in bridge mode. I'm not sure if I did this correctly. I'm guessing it's not the solution because I still cannot access my WAN emby server. I put the MAC address of my MSI router in the redacted part. Not sure if this is safe to give out or not. -
Make subtitle offsets "permanent" per movie and subtitle, so next time you watch a movie, you dont need to adjust the offset again.
turcca replied to bigcookie's topic in Feature Requests
The offset should be saved for the individual subtitles. Because once you set it, you'd want to keep it. -
Yep the first pass when an item is first added seems to work fine, but if an item is moved or edited, Emby sometimes "refuses" to update said item(s). Pretty hard to reproduce too because nothing relevant gets logged it seems.

Lessaj replied to drpickles's topic in General/Windows
Hi, I'm not entirely sure that you're behind CGNAT if your external IP starts with 75. It looks to me like the MSI router is showing the IP address being handed out to it from your ISP gateway. Did you get a new ISP gateway when you moved? Is it in bridge mode or router mode? If it's in router mode you'll have to port forward on there first to the router, then your port forward rules on the router would go to your server -
Can’t connect to Emby server on my LG Smart Tv
MikerJumper replied to MikerJumper's topic in LG Smart TV
Thanks Luke, you are patient! I think I understand it better now. I need to download the Emby app on my laptop to connect to my tv to watch IPTV on it? Like I noted a bit, actually a lot beyond my networking abilities! I wanted Emby because the app that I get IPTV on my firestick does not work on my LG Smart TV. Emby sounds a bit too advanced and overkill for my simpler purposes. -
