yes, the search does begin as soon as you start selecting letters. But while I can see how thats useful, I don't want that - my server is not always on the same lan, and I have a large library - sending a query on every letter is not ideal. but why are you seeing this on an Android tv box? what is the search you see in other streaming apps, or in the play store, or browser? do you not have onscreen keyboard? this looks like something custom implemented by Emby and I don't see why

Hi, what you could try to do is remove the playlists library from emby library setup. That will kick off a library scan, so once that finishes, then create a new playlist manually and that will recreate it. See if that brings everything back.

Hi, what guide data are you using? What you could try to do instead of recreating the series is just refresh the guide data in the server.

I am using a reverse proxy with "/emby". When navigating to the port directly, the page loads and plugin appears to function. Version 2.4.2 thru 2.4.9 all show this in the browser console when failing under the reverse proxy. I don't believe I changed anything on the reverse proxy, so not sure why it has quit working. Obviously, returning a 404 will break the page, and it looks like the plugin is not including "/emby". Attached is a console history of me clicking on EmbyCredits on the plugin page. embycredits.log

That imgur image, that's from one of the "Live TV" shows. So now I think thoseAmazon URLs are for LiveTV and not actually Movies or TV. Sorry I pointed you in the wrong direction here. I see Better Off Ted in the logs, that is one that wasn't working until I re-downloaded. Whats odd is that Poster isn't showing up in the main view, but all the other assets are like Logo and Thumb and Backgrounds. However when I go to "Edit Images" I can see the Poster just fine.

I've at times had a series setting get lost. But today after a server reboot, my entire series listings are there but they see no guide information and thus nothing is scheduled. The worst part is I can enter a series and if at least it allowed me to cancel the series, stay there and set it back up, as sucky as that is, doable. I have to cancel the series and its gone, thus I now have to go back and find the show either through the guide or search and reset them up 1 by 1. I tried doing a server restore. No luck. I know this is an old post, it's the web browser. In Chrome go to the 3 dots at the top right, then settings, click Reset Settings. This seemed to fix the issue for me.

This is my Plex folder, not an Emby folder. Why would there be a The Mutant Watch.mkv? It is one of the extras and has "-featurette" after the name. The movie is X-Men.mkv. This naming is just fine in Plex. What I want to know is if there is a way to import these folders without having to go create a folder for each type of Extra. Has someone written a script to do that or is there some 3rd party tool to go through and do this?

Emby Theater utilizes online resources, whereas the new app has everything bundled in. So without internet Emby Theater cannot load any elements - that's even before premiere validation, you can still use the app without premiere for navigation and playback, you just may not have access to premiere features. For example playback is limited to 1 minute.

I had the same issue and was not even able to access the trakt.tv main page. I think you are getting a block from too many requests. Once I disabled the plugin, and waited for a week or two, the blocks went away.

I have two Android devices that handle a 1GB buffer perfectly. The first is the Ugoos AM6b+ connected to my TV. The second is the Vidda C3 Ultra projector (MediaTek MT9681 processor, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 4K Dolby Vision), where both Emby (Lifetime licenses) and Vimu (Lifetime licenses) are installed directly on the projector's OS. With 4GB of RAM on the Ugoos and 8GB on the Vidda, there is more than enough memory to allocate a large buffer for high-bitrate streaming. This is why I rely on Vimu — it allows me to actually utilize this hardware to ensure smooth playback of 100Mbps+ remuxes, something the internal player cannot do.

thanks, i did not know Home Screen Companion. I installed the previous version to try it out (AutoTag) but in the process i read that smartplaylists are coming to Emby with version 4.10. I'll be waiting for a stable release then

@mainsupport Thank you. I also needed to dowgrade from .Net8.0 to 6.0. I've also added a thumb, working on my 4.8.3.0 installation Please beware: either I mixed up my 4.8.3.0 test install with my production server and deleted my database myself by accident (as Emby was constantly auto updating the fresh 4.8 install to 4.9.3), or the plugin might have deleted my 4.10 database while testing the downgraded version. Either way, using this version is currently only reconmended for 4.8 server versions. Please make sure to have a working backup, just restoring my libraries... /EDIT: After restoring the backup and multiple restarts I come to the conclusion that I've deleted the db myself. Plugin working fine with Emby server 4.8.3 & current beta. Btw. new image, new name. EmbyKometaOverlays.dll

Nope, That is strange. I would be interested to see what causes the truncated .nfo files. Perhaps right at the point where the file stops is something that fails. With Linux, many times, rights for specific files or subdirectories is not setup correctly or gets changed and some process cannot complete because of the ownership or rights. I wonder if that could result in the .nfo just stopping from getting created.

I've tried different pairs of glasses, so I know it's a limitation of the neckband. When I try to play anything from the Neckband Pro using the Android TV app, everything plays fine. But, when I try to use the Android app, I get audio but no video. Just a black screen. If I use the external player, it will open and play the video just fine. BUT, this isn't an option for when I'm offline. The Android TV app doesn't have a download option, and the external player option doesn't work when the files are downloaded. I could download the files to a location I can see (currently have them downloading to the Downloads folder) and I can then watch those using Exo or VLC. But, that breaks the whole Emby experience where I watch it and it's marked viewed, downloads the new one etc. I've tried all the usual fixes of changing refresh rates, force restarting, clearing cache, etc. I'm attaching the logs from trying to playback and experiencing the issue. It looks (and I'm not an expert here) that it has to do with the fact that the glasses are an "external display device" and that's where the problem lies. Kann es sein das du als Bibliothek Gemischte Inhalte genommen hast. Ich hab bei mir 65 (2023) einmal in einen Film und einmal in einen Serienordner angelegt. In der Film Bibliothek wurde er sofort erkannt, auch beim Identifizieren wird er gefunden. Bei der Serie Bibliothek erhalte ich FUBAR auch als Ergebnis.
