If we are able to open the YouTube webpage from emby, won't it open the video in the app on that device? That is what is being requested.

Right, but this request is about adding a publicly accessible YouTube webpage URL not the URL of the video, which is not publicly accessible... easily...

All clients periodically freeze, but this is different. Browser/FireStick/Android phone/Roku/Theater have all been tested in parallel w/ the Windows client over time. Only the Windows app stops playing & falls back to the guide... often. That said, only Theater/Windows client are suitable for my particular use case, so I thought I'd raise a flag.

I'm using IPTV and havent had any issues except with recording when streams were slow or buffering, not an emby issue. Could be a different timeout setting in the new app with IPTV maybe, Luke might know.

Sorry, just for the record - this behaviour has been happening for a long, long time now. It's just got to the point where I decided to finally ask for help on here due to extreme frustration, rather than just putting up with it taking an eternity to show me the list of upcoming TV shows.

Great to see the Emby for LG 1.0.50 update rolling out — especially the fix for playback errors on older LG models and the new combined Movies & Shows tab, which looks like it could make browsing much more seamless for mixed content libraries! I appreciate all the ongoing enhancements that the Emby team brings to the platform — it’s always exciting to see improvements that make daily media streaming smoother and more user-friendly. Thanks for the update and all the hard work behind these releases!

Thank you. I have a good idea what's wrong, will take a little while to fix. It only loads a certain number of items into memory to save on resources, so if i search is outside those in memory it just "gives up".

Still no luck mate, I tried it on a few different libraries and no luck if there are over 100 items, it seems to be limited to the initial look up. If I tell it to load another 100 and then another etc. so in this test, I loaded up 500 items, and it could search any of those 500 but nothing beyond that.

I restarted my browser, pc and nothing has worked.

Goto you server launch the browser and login to see if you.

@Brendon I've added a very, very simple hide function to the limit when search is used. See if that fixes it. WatchPartyForEmby.dll

Maybe it’s something in windows possibly, my server locked up randomly today and I had a red bar error in my apps for the first time ever. Luckily I was able to restart the emby server instance. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Ahh, i forgot about the limit i added to not bog down the plugin. I will try and fix it but i need you as test subject as i don't have that many movies in my library to test with.

OK, here are three songs from the same album that show up in Music>Albums as two separate albums, both titled "Aaron Copland - Fanfare for the Common Man, Appalachian Spring etc". The song, "Ceremonial Fanfare", shows up in one album by itself and the other two songs show up in the other identically titled album (along with another six songs that all belong to the same album). BTW, when all of these "problem" albums were originally scanned into Emby they had no "AlbumArtist" tags - "AlbumArtist" has never been a tag that I find any use for. I only added the uniform value of "Various Artists" for all "AlbumArtist" tags a week ago when I got serious about solving this problem. About the same time, I cleaned up all of the gazillion other tags that I discovered with mp3tag ExtendedTags view. Until then, the multiple appearances for so may albums could be explained. Is it possible that Emby has still remembers those old, garbage tags even after multiple Scan Library Files and Refresh Metadata cycles? Hello. I have not had an issue with emby in years for as internally. Today, out of nowhere it stopped working. I restarted my pc three times, reinstalled emby three times and it is still not working. I, nor anyone else messed with any settings or the network at all. Any help would be appreciated.

I like how this issue was fairly calmly discussed in this and other threads across the forum, but in this one specific instance there arose a need to call a dude names for asking a question. Sound suggestion about containers, so thanks, actually appreciate that. I don't think asking about a folder structure for multiple langs suggests keeping things untidy (unless the alternative of having 60, 100, 400 srts in one folder is the tidy option), but in the grand scheme of things, yes, the entire point of running a media server, Emby, arrs and all that is indeed to seamlessly download sh*t. For the record, my question was mostly about making sure the feature is not actually planned (as I thought Luke suggested that possibility above) before setting on a different organizing method. But sure, why not go straight to names. Whatever.

Ok, sure - no promises that I can find the problem/solution though... two files each per 'good' and 'bad' albums should be enough to test. e.g. two 'good' songs that combine correctly into one album and two 'bad' songs that split incorrectly into separate albums...

Agree with everything you said. You might also consider looking at something that's actually geared more for streaming local media like a Shield, Cube, etc. They usually support more codecs like TrueHD Atmos and DTSX. I've got a Shield plugged into my soundbar, and it works pretty well. TVs usually gear themselves toward supporting streaming services. Anyhow, hopefully Luke can get that update pushed for you.

Hi @SamES Do you have an estimate of when we will have an update on the Emby server and app for LG TV?

@NeminemOver the weekend I will check on the bios side as I do not want to try to do that during the week since all is good. I have multiple epg providers b/c I have a mix of channels that cover many areas. Yes that can take quite a while for a guide update but please explain what you mean by "fight about time slots" as it relates to the application starting up the first time? Not sure what you mean by this. Thank!!!

Would love to see this as well. In my mind this should be two-fold. Global setting per library, and the ability for users to overwrite their own personal preference per library in the same way as they choose their default landing page per library.
