Subtitles on new version (v1.0.49) show strange characters
Luke replied to hspantera's topic in LG Smart TV
Hi, apologies for the delay. We are working on getting a new server release out to resolve this. The fix is already on the server beta channel. Thanks. -

If going the ffmpeg route, I found this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/39520849/ffmpeg-loading-tracker-files It seems there is already support in ffmpeg (probably why ffprobe recognizes them!), and it should be a simple matter of recompilation with the lib.

@tuxlieare you still having an issue with this?

Select “Continue watching episode,” but the episode listed under it doesn’t match the selected episode.

Ok so seeing how its been 6 years and something as simple and updating the back end of Emby to talk to TVDB's API in order to get the other orders i would like to know how i can have emby just ignore series that have these problems with orders. This way I can go in by HAND and fix them MYSELF because Emby cant seems to do the very thing that its paid version is supposed to do its self. For real @Lukewhen is this going to be looked into and added in a upcoming update. I think 6 years is a little to long for something that is so important like metadata. like that's kind of what makes emby and all other server programs useful. Its the automatic gathering of said metadata that really makes them shine and allows one to put all their media in a Netflix like manner. This really needs to looked into. 6 years is laughable.

So it is not possible to write a custom decoder plugin? The plugin API does not support that?
-
It's not that kind of work. It's a matter of getting support for these files compiled into the server ffmpeg build.

Collections randomly lost movies but display art still shows them
Luke replied to zellonatious's topic in General/Windows
Hi, I think first we need to learn what happened. Do your movie files have nfo files next to them? Can you get it to happen again with something new? -
In the server api, series objects do not have a play count. You get that information by adding the play counts of all the episodes. So assuming you are doing that correctly, the next step to debugging is identifying what episode has an incorrect play count, and then try to figure out how it got that way.

@R0boccan you separate the dvd folder and mkv according to our movie naming guide? Movie Naming

You can merge them manually if you can get them on the same screen and use the multi-select tool and select merge versions.

Hi, the Emby Apple TV app has option to switch between two different embedded players. How do you have that configured?

Multi movie naming - hide part of file name from version drop down
Luke replied to abuthemagician's topic in General/Windows
Hi, there's currently no way to do this. What if you had more than one 4K version? Wouldn't that help you differentiate? -
Well still too soon to tell definitively, but so far it's looking like using Infuse pointed at Emby server is playing files just fine. Maybe it's just the official emby app that doesn't work well? Don't suppose there's a way to get logs from the client app?

slow audio-desync buildup on android/fire tv and dts-hd
Luke replied to syxlox's topic in General/Windows
For this no, just the Emby app, which you've already tried. We'll take another look at it. Thanks.
