I’d check the Fire TV client settings first, especially whether Direct Play is being forced despite the bitrate limit. I’ve dealt with similar streaming behavior while working on OnStream, and checking the client, server, and network stats together usually makes it easier to see where the setting is being ignored.

movies is working fine though, only on tv shows.

unfortunately, that's not working, this is director for some episodes and when i click it's still blank just the name.

Ok thanks, so far Ive contributed 22 timestamps. I would love to see Emby add skip recap prompts to fully utilize the information that the IntroDB provides. Thanks for the insight on how this works.

Hmm...the app could have very well restarted in my tests too. The two screens I described above are what I see when I start the latest version of the app.

Please do whatever you need to do to make this work again, my AppleTV used to play AV1 just fine and now since it’s forced to transcode, my miniPC struggles and now I cannot play those videos at all. The entire functionality of playing AV1 is gone from a user perspective when it worked fine for years. An option to enable the setting as it was before would be great. I hope you can add this back please. I’m a little upset the entire functionality was broken and removed and it’s taken more than 6 months for clarification.

I have also seen if you leave it paused and on the screensaver long enough the app basically restarts, but I'm not sure if 10 minutes is enough. I will keep an eye out for that happening since my app logging is enabled, might even be able to get a logcat as well via ADB.

Hey, thanks for submitting! As it’s a volunteer project and we have thousands of submissions to get through, it can take a while to get to your submission. Possibly a couple of months before human eyes see it. The primary way submissions are verified is automatic when another user submits a similar time. As more users submit, the db grows exponentially. You can however use your submission right away by requesting with your API key, as that returns pending submissions with increased weight.

I don’t know where’s that option exactly but I’ve tried everything possible in the settings and I couldn’t find anything says “vertical”, the closest was the “Tv mode” which isn’t helpful as previously mentioned.

No, I got something different. Tried it 3 times with same result. Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro Server 4.10.0.22 App 3.5.42 - Emby screensaver set to none Open up movie details page Click Run Let movie run for a while Click Pause Android screensaver kicked in after 5 minutes (my Android setting while testing) wait another 5 minutes with no sound Click Up to end screensaver Then the Emby logo flashed Then the black Connect to server screen with the Cancel button flashed real quick Ended back at the Home screen with the first icon selected (will be the movie just watched if you wait long enough for a resume point) Edit: I normally have my Android screensaver set at 2 hours and would probably not have seen the screensaver before when watching movies.

Not fail outright necessarily. I'm asking for the tuner handshake retry to be configurable. A fixed 60-second retry can conflict with upstream recovery and hit stale sessions. Keeping defaults is fine, but a configurable retry interval or fail-fast option would avoid contention while Emby remains the DVR.

Sorry, I'll do that over the weekend when I get a chance. But for now, additional data point: AC3 works without transcoding. This problem seems to be strictly EAC3 + Safari.

OK I think the server ffmpeg build does not handle embedded webvtt. We'll be updating it on the beta channel very soon so this should be re-evaluated at that time.
