I am using Emby Android 3.5.28 with server Version 4.10.0.8 beta and my client and server are connected wired The title pretty much says what is happening. I have seen no pattern except this only seems to happen on newer files and not on mp4s. I do not use Emby to play music so I do not know about audio formats. And none of my file have to transcode the video. I do not know about the audio portion at least yet. The problem will show up several times in one session or it will only show once and then not show again for hours or even days. I usually use the back button to exit before the file is completely played but on the occasions where I don't this happens about 6-10% of the time but it does not seem to be reliably repeatable with the same file. I attached a log and that log should contain at least two instances of the problem happening including the last fully player file from the series "Star Trek Enterprise," I have been using nothing but my Shield lately so i do not know if any other client has the issue. I do not know what else to report and, since the problem is not repeatable, I do not know how to test but I am open to guidance if anyone needs more info. BTW: After the problem happens and I exit the playback normally i see nothing else that shows there has been any problem. BTW2: If this belongs in the beta server forum feel free to move it. This was fixed long time ago. Read the comments above on how to get the beta. You need to be running 2.1.28 or later.

ty for all the hard work, will definitely keep tabs on project. been waiting years for a way to import collections, only reason i still used plex sometimes. when collections decided to load on plex. its so buggy now. got overlays working seams it just takes a while for them all to load.

Also, the Apple TV app lacks a thumbnail view and A–Z search. With the absence of A–Z search and a large library, it’s not user-friendly. These are basic functions that the Android app already has.

Any update on this? Been having this issue for months, updated to the latest, currently 4.10.04 server and error on Nvidia shield, Sony TV, and Onn Pro all with Emby for Android TV 2.1.23 but it does work on my phone Emby for Android and other TVs also with Emby for Android 3.5.28.

Connect actually does not seem to be working, as I had previously reported. A fix for this is ready and will be in the next update. Even when you specifically choose a collection from the dropdown? You are probably correct, i believe they share the same lookup logic, so comma-separated might not have been the best way to do this then. Didn't even cross my mind one might have commas in the collection name.. The issue with using the pipe | is that it might be unknown for users how to type that (and it differs from keyboard layout). I'll figure something out for next update

What network type did you use to get Comskipper working on UnRaid? I have it generating .edl files, but Emby won't use them. I started with "Bridged" like I run most containers, but Comskipper.dll caused constant errors when called. Switched to "Host" and Comskipper.dll no longer causes errors, but it can't see the .edl file on the SMB share. (the .edl file does exist and works perfectly if I play the recording with Kodi) "Comskip EDL file [\\192.168.67.3\pvr\Emby\recordings\Recording 2026_03_29_15_00_00.edl] does not exist." I guess I'm going to try a "Custom : br0" network next but I'm pooped and calling it quits for the day before I break all of my clients by changing the IP for the custom network. Hoping for some guidance if anyone has this working on UnRaid.

It is working now. As I suspected, when I opened the insecure port to WAN, connect picked up my server no problem. I would prefer not to have the extra port exposed. Maybe an improvement to connect is in order?

You don't. If you did not rip these yourself, your only option is to do it one at a time or replace the series with a copy that has them included, which no one here can help you with.

hi there, I have made 2 short recordings off the Emby tv guide. one plays back ok, the other doesn't on my LG OLED65CS6LA. They both playback ok on emby windows app and LG OLED55B7V. I have not touched the file structures meta data etc... I have zipped up both below. Hopefully somebody can unzip and put into there pvr folder to test playback, or look to see if they can figure out why it wont play back on my tv. thanks PLAYS OK.zip WONT PLAY.zip
