Below are examples. In the Movie library I can select two movies and group them. But in TV Shows I do not have this option. Same with books for example As you can see the above the book "carrie" is the same but I can not merge them. I would like the option to do this manually so I can group versions that don't always group as expected across any library and also of course the same option to select media and ungroup

Luke, is there a solution for the setup.exe installer? I'm getting the same error message on Server 2025. I have it installed as a service. So the portable download does solve my problem.

What library permissions did you apply? What are they seeing that they shouldn't? Your libraries only contain your actual media. Please provide screenshots.

@fbourgSomething you can consider (even if temporary) is to set the "backup/restore appdata" plugin to skip Emby; you can also potentially replace it with Emby's own "Backup" plugin and avoid downtime altogether. With that said, I do the same thing that you do, as I have found restoring from the appdata backup to be quite a bit more seamless.

I’d like to request a dedicated image type for the new Spotlight section on the Emby home page. At the moment, Spotlight uses the existing fanart/background image for an item. In many cases that works, but the best image for a normal background is not necessarily the best image for a large Spotlight banner. It would be useful if Emby supported a separate Spotlight image, for example: spotlight.jpg spotlight.png If a Spotlight image exists, Emby would use it for that item in the Spotlight section. If one does not exist, Emby could simply fall back to the current fanart/background image. This would allow users to choose a different image that they feel is better suited for how the item appears in Spotlight, while leaving the existing background artwork unchanged. Mock Up Below: Emby's backend services would send request to image providers for background/fanart images.

Yeah that would be nice, but I was just responding to twofacetoo and Luke. What your suggesting is a much bigger request, I think. I was reading current request as: play trailer as background instead of fanart. I was just pointing out that is already possible. I like your idea for sure though.
