Each Kodi profile starts blank (unless you instructed Kodi otherwise). Each Kodi profile has its own Emby connection/session and you can use any Emby account as connection. Frankly, not quite sure what is is unclear.

Could help me? How did you return to version 4.9.1.90? I also have an LG TV. Thanks!
  6. Just transcoding the video to "-c:v av1_nvenc -rc constqp -qp 23 -preset slow -pix_fmt p010le", and copying the audio/subtitle tracks, did allow the normal Android app to play the video. So it's 100% the video track that only the normal Android app struggles with, while the Android-tv app plays it fine.

  10. If my tv didn't support the codec, why would the Emby Android tv app play it without issues, without transcoding? Selecting the Japanese stereo track (before the video starts) didn't change anything. And that is far lower bitrate. The audio itself plays fine, the problem is the video as shown in the screenshot. But still, I tested by converting to stereo AAC: Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x1080 23.976fps [V: h264 high 10 L4.1, yuv420p10le, 1920x1080] Audio: AAC 48000Hz stereo [A: aac lc, 48000 Hz, stereo] Didn't change anything.

  12. Maybe your Sony TV does not support this video codec high 10? DNLA settings for this particular Sony TV model? 6 Channel Flac is a very high bitrate audio that could be too much for transcoding to manage in real time. The audio is forced. Can you remux the audio with some 3rd party transcoder to a more standard AAC stereo and see if that helps. I suspect the high end audio to be perhaps the cause. And still having changed nothing, I'm again unable to access my server remotely. I'm getting a CloudFlare timeout error when I attempt to access my domain, and a browser timeout error when I attempt to access my WAN IP.
  14. The codec info is as follows (from MPC-HC file properties) Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1920x1080 23.976fps [V: BD 1080p 10bit [Yousei-raws] [jpn] (h264 high 10 L4.1, yuv420p10le, 1920x1080) [default, forced]] Audio: FLAC (framed) 48000Hz 6ch 6912kbps [A: English 5.1 FLAC [eng] (flac, 48000 Hz, 5.1(side), s24) [forced]] Audio: FLAC (framed) 48000Hz stereo 2304kbps [A: Japanese 2.0 FLAC [jpn] (flac, 48000 Hz, stereo, s24)] Subtitle: Advanced SubStation Alpha [S: Signs & Songs [eng] (ass) [default, forced]] Subtitle: Advanced SubStation Alpha [S: Full Subtitles [Underwater modified] [eng] (ass)] Subtitle: Advanced SubStation Alpha [S: Full Subtitles [Doki modified] [eng] (ass)] Subtitle: UTF-8 [S: No subtitles] Disabling de subtitles doesn't make a difference.
  15. Also having issues with the Android (not the tv version) playback on specific files, on a Sony tv. While the Android tv app plays those without problems. But that has other (lesser) problems, where the proposed fix seems to be to use the normal Android app. The attached image is what I see on my tv. In the server log it's the last played file "Blood-C - S01E01.mkv" embyserver.txt

Collection wide db edit / Filter

No nfo files, so it’s just the database. Whilst editing the db manually using sql isn’t a major issue (a pain), pretty pointless if Emby keeps scraping the drivel. Any thoughts on how to block the future junk?

Roku Ultra Does Not play DTS-HD MA 7.1

All of these on the Roku show the same cause. The container is MKV which the Roku can direct play. But the video stream is VC1 which the Roku cannot. This causes the below condition to happen. The video is transcoded into h264 and since DTS cannot be muxed into HLS it becomes AC3 to keep the surround sound since AC3 is found to be supported. Bourne Identity, The (2002) -> Video:VC1, Audio:DTS -> TranscodeReasons=VideoCodecNotSupported -> Video:H264, Audio:AC3 The very top log you post shows from Android TV. That one detects support for DTS. The Roku logs you posted do not show support for DTS on your Roku. Are you sure you enabled DTS in the audio settings and then rebooted/restarted the Roku after making the change? Roku shows this: (missing DTS support?!) AudioCodec=ac3,aac,mp2,mp3,eac3,flac,vorbis,lpcm While Android TV shows this: (has DTS support) AudioCodec=aac_latm,mp4a_latm,ac3,eac3,dts,dca,dtshd,aac,mp3

What is a Media Server? Why Choose Emby?

It sounds like you installed the Emby app on your FireCube. To use the app you need to connect it to someone who is running an Emby server. Emby is basically a media manager. It manages YOUR media, or allows you to connect to someone else's Emby server. If you want to install EmbyServer so you can watch your OWN movies, music, etc. then you will need to the EmbyServer application on a NAS or your PC. Emby as the app doesn't just "work". Think of it a GUI interface that allows you to watch media you have stored on a disk in your home, or if you know someone who runs their own private EmbyServer, they can make you a user account so you can use the Emby app on your FireCube to access their media remotely. When you use Netflix, you log in through the Netflix app that points to the Netflix servers so you can watch movies on their systems. Emby is the same. The media content has to live somewhere, the app is just a way to access it.

  22. Hello. Yes, users can change their passwords. When a user logs in they can click their profile icon > app settings > profile and in the password section they can change the password themselves. I think that doing this bypasses Emby Connect so if they forget their password, you will have to reset it for them. If I am wrong, please someone let me know.

    New Badge Overlay plugin

The issue is collection has a metadata separate from the movies inside it so you have to make sure the parameters in the metadata matches the configuration in the plugin. Let me show you in my screenshots. In your collection right click on -Edit metadata> select release date and put recent date and new collection tag will show up. let me know this fixes the issue
  24. Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce Traxx, an Android music app I have been developing for use with Emby music libraries. The main reason I started building it is simple: I became tired of Spotify and wanted to enjoy my own music collection again. Emby already does a great job of managing my media, but I could not really find a dedicated music-only Android app for Emby that felt focused, clean and comfortable to use. So I decided to build one myself. Traxx is designed specifically around music. The idea is to make browsing and playing your own Emby music library feel simple and enjoyable, without all the extra video-related parts getting in the way. The app is now in the final stage of development, and it already includes: browsing albums, artists and songs from an Emby server displaying album artwork clearly playing music from your own library a clean Android interface focused only on music making larger music collections easier to navigate Android Auto support playback of playlists created in Emby creating new playlists directly inside the app support for static lyrics automatic LRC lyrics support I am also working on Alexa integration, although I still have to see if I can get that working the way I want. For now, my main goal is to make the core music experience stable, pleasant and reliable. Below some images of the looks of the app. I would love to know if other Emby users are interested in testing Traxx. Feedback from people with different music libraries, devices and ways of using Emby would be very helpful. If you are interested in trying Traxx, please let me know in this thread. I would be happy to share more details and learn what features would be useful for other Emby music users. Thanks!

OH MY GOD .... im so Sorry ... i found the Reason. i had 3 .ignore Files in the Movie and Series Folder for some Cover Folders. .embyignore .ignore .plexignore i deleted them and now everything is working.

Emby cannot find the network drives.

Okay. I have to take back what I said. It doesn't work after all. As soon as I add the “Movies” folder and then click “Scan Library,” nothing happens. As mentioned above, the folder is set to R:\Movies.
