No Trailers on Samsung TV app - taking ages for release still on 2.2.5
FrostByte replied to Robnaeyaert's topic in Samsung Smart TV
I'll throw some other information out while we wait for a response. These are all things conveyed in the past here which affect the speed of return. You can't necessarily compare one company to another as far as the speed their apps are processed. There are different tiers of support for which the price rises the higher you go. The higher tiers can affect the speed and the age of the TVs supported also. For instance, Samsung typically won't test the Emby app for TVs after 4 years (though Luke can do a special request once in a while for older models now). However, the Netflix app gets updated for older models all the time because they pay for the higher tier support. I've only had 1 store app update so far in the last 4 years on my 2018 model because my TV is no longer tested in the normal updates with the others. An app update is already in the queue Some apps are more complicated and will take more time to test. The Emby app will be in the same category and tested by the same people who test Netflix, Disney+, etc. Sometimes the app gets kicked back for changes. You can't do an app update and add regions/countries supported at the same time. For instance, when Emby adds South Korea to the supported countries all app testing will stop for that app. Each year and model group of TV models is tested separately. For instance, a 2025 Premium, Standard, and Basic model is tested (sometimes by different people) and can be held back for different reasons. This is why you will sometimes see someone say their model has the update and others even within the same year don't see the update yet. Holidays Anyhow, we'll have to wait and see if Luke wants to get into the weeds on why your TV doesn't have the new app yet. Just wanted to convey it's not always a simple comparison. -
Confirmed great mystery now has listings Thanks

Nice plugin! But I cant get the categories to sync. It keeps saying. Failed to load categories. Save your connection settings first, then try again. Connection is there and says it connected. Status Active, 0/1 active streams. Any ideas? -

Hi Luke, can you check this too? I don't know if they are the same problem. -

What is the c# equivalent of the REST API endpoint "/Sessions/Playing/Stopped", if i only have the ItemId, MediaSourceId and PlaySessionId, but no SessionId? The REST API endpoint works without a SessionId.

There is a quirk ! The lineup still has the old ID's for 321 as well as the new ID's. So until they remove the old references, make sure 321 is mapped to the 321 lineup entry with callsign GRETMYS and not GREATMY
-
Sorry - just double checking. They switched the internal ID. I need to check if it has a schedule

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing a strange audio issue and would appreciate some help. My setup: Emby Server (self-hosted) Playback in both web browser (Chrome) and Emby desktop client Video: MKV, 1080p H.264 Audio: Spanish EAC3 stereo (128 kbps, 48 kHz) Playback method: Direct Play (for both video and audio) Problem: There is no sound at all when playing this file in both the web interface and the desktop client. However other websites have sound (so system audio is working). Emby shows “Audio → Direct Play”. It seems like EAC3 is being Direct Played instead of transcoded, but I cannot find any obvious transcoding options in my server settings. Questions: 1. Should EAC3 be automatically transcoded to AAC for browser playback? 2.If audio transcoding is disabled, where can I enable it? 3.Could this indicate an ffmpeg or transcoding configuration issue? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if logs are needed and I can provide them. Thank you!

I upgraded to the 4.10.0.4 beta version and the issue persists there too

The search is made a bit more intuitive to use. Select a library and then use the search field. WatchPartyForEmby.dll

Download User Watched List? (need for a project)
Happy2Play replied to Dizzy49's topic in General/Windows
Think the closest thing available is Playback Reporting plugin but is limited to the date of install as it runs its own db. -
It really depends on how much media you have. Firstly, yes I would recommend putting everything into their own dedicated folder and just moving the associated metadata into them (.nfo and art). It is just a cosmetic thing. It’s up to you if you want untick the save artwork option but I prefer having it all there in case in the future I need to rebuild my library so emby doesn’t have to download everything again, as well keeping all my custom art I’ve picked. I’d then run an emby library rescan which will just identify that the media has moved, all your watched statuses should remain. Whether you remove all these files is up to you, depending on your OS you can use the CLI to do this quite easily based on how brave you are If you do remove them then you ‘may’ need to refresh the metadata for the library, I’ve never stored my media this way so I don’t know from experience.

I have the Emby Statistics plugin that gives me user-based statistics and it has a lot of information, however I am looking for specific information, like what I watched and what time. Then ideally I would be able to download a list of all movies/TV with basic metadata too, but I think I'll need to tap into IMDB for that. I am building a project where I need the information. I am open to other ideas if Emby can't do it directly, can it tie into another system (and mark things watched that I watched in the past) and I can export from there. Thanks!

No Trailers on Samsung TV app - taking ages for release still on 2.2.5
Robnaeyaert replied to Robnaeyaert's topic in Samsung Smart TV
@Luke@FrostBytethe post from @vicvipermakes some legitimate points. Each day I check to see if I’ve moved on from 2.2.5 so I can view trailers and nothing ever happens. any thoughts on the points @vicviperasks? thanks for the great work and I know you’re beholden to Samsung but this is not a great outcome. Please advise? Thanks. Rob. -
Correct. The biggest issue I can foresee here is overlapping schedules...say I have that option checked for my Halloween spotlight which runs Oct 15-31, and for my Vincent Price spotlight which is set for the anniversary of his death on October 25. Logically I would expect Price to take precedence, as that's the newest schedule, but I'm not sure what the best way of going about things is (and indeed, for this very reason I've set the Price spotlight only to the anniversary of his birth). The other option is setting a rule as a fallback, i.e. “only apply this rule if no schedules using this tag are active,” but then were two scheduled tags to overlap, they'd be combined as they are now, which isn't ideal. Ah. I thought it stood for “minimum,” which made no sense. Maybe change it from “min” to “mins”?

macOS + Emby + Infuse + 50Mbps dedicated line: Playback is choppy. Emby doesn't transcode, and Infuse plays the source file directly. The 50Mbps dedicated line isn't enough, causing playback stuttering. Is there a way to force Emby to transcode?

No good mate, I selected the movies library, then typed in 'Predator' and nothing came up at all and the 'select content' drop down was still at the very start of the library.
