i thought it was kodi but i dont really know and i ended up uninstalling it, the name of this one was something along the lines of "greek ancient ruins" and the original thumbnail was not this

@fbourg you can find the latest in the emby catalog. I've been to lazy to update the GitHub for a little while. I really need to pull my self together and update it.

Real world example for consideration. My family record TV OTA. This is primarily trash one off shows, low quality content which they watch once and then delete. Currently there are 5 shows with episodes they have not watched and >150 empty that will never have content again.

Chromaprint triggering at the beginning of episodes When trying to use Chromaprint (audio fingerprinting), it's misbehaving and matching way too early, near the start of the video: What are the recommended settings or search offsets to force the audio scan to focus strictly on the last few minutes of the episode? What are good values for the minimum match duration and confidence thresholds to prevent opening themes or incidental audio cues from triggering false positive markers? 2. OCR tuning & performance scaling With 61,000 episodes, running OCR takes a massive amount of time: Without a dedicated NVIDIA card (no CUDA), the OCR engine is relying purely on the CPU/RAM, while frame extraction can use Intel QSV. With 20 cores / 28 threads on the 14700K and 128 GB of RAM, what are the recommended settings (worker threads, extraction FPS, temp directory configuration) to maximize throughput without bottlenecking the system? Are there best practices to avoid the initial scan choking the server on such a large library? Thanks in advance for your help and feedback!

@adrianwiYou just have to copy paste that command, without logs I really can't help you Your installation (FreeNAS + FreeBSD 13 jail) is officially discontinued and impossible to replicate today. My only surviving FreeBSD 13 install works just fine with our current package, so this is specific to your jail.

Or maybe they're not turning it on and there's something else doing so? Most reports I've seen, the user had no idea that option was even there.

I am going to guess he is referring to the fact Emby ALWAYS has some incorrect channel icons assigned because channels ALWAYS change. Even Free To Air services move regularly, for example take a look at this : https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/updates-alerts Every one of these resulted in a channel logo error in Emby with no native way to fix.

There is no way I can find, its frustrating as if you live the live TV constantly like I do it means everything you record you then need to go to schedule and adjust the settings instead of just easily pressing record. A lot of extra work for a simple oversight.

my PC Emby server isn't pulling metadata for new series, but it works fine when I manage it from my iPad. Any idea what's wrong on the server side? Note: I'm on Emby 4.10.0.40 embyserver (10).txt

Hi Last emby version - synonoly dsm 7.2 I ve got a problem since 2 month. I change my ip m3u, and since that i change adress in the emby app, the first time it took a lot of time to download canal and didnt work. 1 week later, it worked i didnt know why. and now again i cant read canals. canals disappeared. it worked 1 week ago, i could register tv, but not now. have u got an idea ? thanks !

Is there any way to not generate chapters at all and only generate the markers? If that's not possible is there a way to not have the large identification string in the generated chapter name?

Hi Luke I enabled dbug logging then started a track playing at 05.56. I let it play to the end. I could see it playing in the dashboard but not in the activity log. The play count/date was not updated and neither the lastfm or listenbrainz plugins scrobbled it. Thanks embyserver.txt

Yes. Which I s what it makes it so confusing for me because the Xiaomi stick was connected to Wi-Fi and never had this problem.

I had them try again with the usb version of the app from 9/8 and the streams are playing successfully now. Let me know if you want the recent logs to compare with the previous ones with the streaming failures.

@LukeIt's working really well so far! I would go so far as to say it is fixed though I still check it manually out of habit. I'll try backing off and seeing how far into the background it can go. Also, the new connection page with a cancel button is perfect - it's exactly what was needed to improve the experience. I hit cancel and it drops back right away so I can go straight to downloads. If I'm on the servers network, I let it discover and it works without issue.

Most sane people....who are you the prime minister of media management? ...so I'm insane if I go on holiday and take hundreds of short videos, load them up in Emby and want to go peruse them on my big TV and delete some. With original source backups on SD-Card. Or if want to tidy up some episodes of a show without going to a 'physical server console'. Not everyone is you...if you have nothing of value to contribute - jog on.

It is disabled by default but what's happening is users are turning it on and then wondering why they're not seeing episode images.
