Hello @Neminem! The project itself has been around since I think Nov 24 2025. It started as a fork of the official Jellyfin Android TV client then later I moved from the forked version to my own Flutter client so I had less codebases to maintain and easier to iterate features and archived the old repo so people wouldn't get confused. The account has no posts because I've never posted here before, had some current Emby users suggest I do so. The codebase is fully open source and you're more than welcome to look through every aspect of it for anything malicious. It's free and I dont ask for payments to use or a subscription or anything. It might not be everyone's cup of tea and that's fine, everyone has their own opinions, likes and dislikes, but to claim something is malicious without looking through the codebase is a bit much. The app and plugin collects 0 data about anyone or their setups, it doesnt even send any external data anywhere except for the Seerr notifications to Android mobile and iOS for system notifications through Firebase and even that can be changed so you can use your own Firebase account for notifications.

The problem was only with the AndroidTV app. Something when .48 hit Google store that caused some people to lose audio playback, etc. It should be fixed in the latest version though I believe. -
but thats the only option have how do i add a different ip? this is wht hapens when i go through emby connect on the phone

Be WARNED fellow Emby users. This new dev. has posted this from a Zero Post Emby Account. It might be leaching your data. It comes with a plugin, and that could give away sensitive info about you setup. It might leach login credentials / IP adresses + what ever metadata to sell. I would strongly advice about NOT using this.

I did not find a way to easily join the Google Beta or am not that handy with sideloading, so I just installed the non Android tv version of the app and now both have working audio. What happened? -

I just tried using the Xbox again and must say I'm glad I have a Shield. Getting Atmos and HDR to trigger correctly in Emby is a nightmare even if it's not transcoding and everything on the Xbox side is configured. There's also an option in the app to auto transcode anything > 30mbps because of Xbox issues. Though you can turn that off. -

Just tried this. No luck. Yes my server is running on the shield. I have never had a problem using Shield Pro as Server and client in the past. There is something going on with my Shield Emby App because I've been doing more testing and some movies have no audio but the subtitles are working, other movies are working with audio and subtitles, some movies are not playing at all. Emby server is working flawlessly from my PC and phone but on the Shield it is having lots of problems. I think I am at the point where I am going to start my server over fresh. Hopefully that fixes it. Thanks for the help.- 11 replies

Yes, turn on debug logging in system settings and then recreate the issue before sending it directly to quickmic in case there's private information in it. Then turn off debug logging. -

Correct, Samsung has never supported FLAC internal to video container. Samsung only supports it as a music/audio file. It may have semi worked before, but if it now doesn't because of a Tizen update and not an app update then it sounds like Samsung pulled the plug altogether. However, it should at least try to transcode. -
Update: Tried Moonfin just for fun. Same problem there. Media3 player don't show at all, mpv player trying to show but it just stops.

I believe the fix is in .50. You may need to sideload or join the beta on Google if you don't see it in the store. -
Hmmm so this whole thing seams more AI work that anything, even your first post? Care to explain how this has been made / if and how AI has been used. I for 1 does not want to use this thing App / Plugin. Plugin AI created uhhhhh " I install this and what is send out to what???? " Hell NO !! App AI " Well I don't trust you with my data "

Port forwarding is set up and it was working well, still port forwarding but these are the messages i get, thats what does not make sense

You need to setup port forwarding on your router. There's an option within the network settings on the server or various guides on the emby website.
