Are you guys talking about the same thing? Are you talking channels or programs?

I do not understand why you need both guides - it is an either ... or ... They should be identical With regards to investigating recordings, for each case I would need to know the channel number and channel name on the guide/tuner. I can guess but i do not want to do that. And if you are getting multiple recording files where the guide does not show them as separate entries, then i would need server debug logs covering the time from start of first recording for the day to the end of one that is duplicate Concentrate on one of these and i will investigate

It can work but i would still in general advice people to avoid it. Many people don't have the hardware to use it properly and quickly regret converting their collection to AV1. None of those clients you mention support 7.1+ surround and/or TrueHD passthrough (other than the htpc but i guess dolby vision will be a problem with that), if you want that you need some like a Nvidia Shield that doesn't play well with AV1. Instead i usually advice people to use H265, it's not much bigger than AV1 and is much wider supported. That plus setting some automatic remuxing of videos to remove unused audio and other stuff from videos. If you want to save space that's also a huge one!

Emby for Android but only on the TV, 3.5.56. Mobile of the same app works fine, same with Emby for Android TV, web browser. Moonfin also crashes the server for users when using multi word search.

It's normal that it installs dotnet-host 9, dotnet-host is usually higher than the runtime, the important part is that you have dotnet8 installed. We have a problem: both emby guides set to OTA I did not stop and start the recording. However the episode may have had breaks in it due to news and it treating it as another program.

The Emby Android TV app works correctly on my NVIDIA Shield Pro for iptv. But I wish the Android app would get fixed. I hope I live long enough to see this fixed

Hi team, I'm running Emby version 4.10.0.40 on a QNAP server, and I'm looking to increase the number of media items listed on the home page under the “Latest Media” category. Unfortunately, there’s no option for this in the interface! Can you please tell me which file to edit and what value to change?

Hi Emby Team, I encountered an issue where downloading all songs in a folder scrambles both normal playback and shuffle order in the iOS app. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open any music folder in the iOS app. 2. Download all songs in that folder for offline use. 3. Play the tracks sequentially or tap shuffle. Issue: Once downloaded locally, the queue order becomes corrupted and shuffle playback fails to work as expected compared to streaming. Thanks!

Hi Guys, I tried to set emby up on an Philips 85PUS8500 LED TV. On several other Samsung, Sony and Philips TVs or mobile devices it works fine. I tried using the IP adress as usual, but I also tried emby connect and the Synology Server name. But it says that no connection to the server is possible. Is there anything special with this TV? I am using Synology DS1821+ with emby 4.9.5.0 Can anybody help? Best regards, Dan

Hi @Luke I had the same problem as @lorac (Live TV tile stuck on the home screen). It happens when you uninstall the Live TV Plugin before removing the TV Source from Dashboard / Live TV. Steps to reproduce: Install a Live TV plugin (e.g. a third-party tuner/provider plugin) and add a TV Source for it under Dashboard -> Live TV -> Add TV Source. Without first removing that TV Source again, uninstall the plugin that provided it. Restart the server. Go back to Dashboard -> Live TV. The TV Source is now gone from the list entirely — there is nothing left to delete there. The Live TV tile, however, stays stuck/visible on the home screen. So the bug is specifically about the order of operations: uninstalling a Live TV plugin before removing its TV Source leaves an entry that's invisible and unmanageable through the normal UI (the tuner config is stored in library.db, but the Dashboard can no longer surface it once its provider plugin is gone) — guide refresh alone doesn't help, since the underlying issue isn't stale guide data. In my case it was the "M3UTuner" plugin, which I uninstalled before deleting the TV Source. For reference, here's what the leftover entry actually looks like in library.db (NamedValues table, key config_livetv): Workaround for anyone hitting this: reinstall the plugin that you originally used for adding the TV Source and the added entry will show up again in Dashboard / Live TV, delete the TV Source properly there, uninstall the plugin again, then restart the server and the empty Live TV tile on the home screen should disappear. Hope that helps

It would be especially helpful if there’s a way to preview the changes characterconverter before applying them, just to avoid accidentally modifying a large library.

Hi, in Emby Server 4.10.0.40, Collections still appears under Library order, but there is no longer any option to hide it from My Media on the home screen. Other libraries can be configured, but Collections does not appear in that section. Is this a bug/regression, or is there another way to hide Collections from the home screen while keeping Collections enabled? Screenshots attached. Thanks!

Hi, I'm on latest 4.10.0.40 server, and I also don't have navigation arrows on my desktop computer with web gui. I tried different browsers, private/incognito mode (disabling cache), but nothing works. Of corse, I disabled TV display mode.

New Settings page rewritten: grouped into sections, clearer labelling. Upcoming: show Season Finale — per-episode, lands only on the finale. Web browser only Flag a premiere or finale this many days ahead (default 7) — stops badges appearing weeks early Say 'Airing' for a show that is mid-season, with its own colour Mark season premieres and finales in the episode name — adds the words to the episode's title instead of drawing on artwork. Works on every client, and is the only option for an episode with no still of its own When to show it — Always, or Hide once watched so an unwatched card carries the words and a watched one goes back to its plain title. Follows the preferred user, and updates within seconds of marking watched Fixed Badges on episode stills are no longer blurry. The size cap was computed from the wrong dimension, so wide images got a badge a third smaller than intended. Live TV channels are now excluded from the global search since updating to 4.10. How can we get it back? I don't know why it was taken away. How I can get emby to include live tv channels in the global search when searching for content?
