Really not much effort has gone into ordering, I think I only did the one page. I'll get back to that at some point. I was actually debating on removing that entirely. But if you use it and find value in it, sure i can add it to a want list.

Updated to latest version. No more external players?
cgswingland replied to Landoman's topic in Windows & Xbox
Hi, am I right to assume that the old version where external players are supported is only available for Windows/MacOS and not for Android or iOS? If not, did we have link to the apps for other devices? Lacking external players is causing me significant headaches. -
If you happen to be using a VPN connection together with Emby, you may be running into an option available to Youtube content providers to limit any playback on VPN connections and related features. In other words, using VPN to connect to any Emby server may cause a Youtube limitation. If you don't use a VPN, then this would not apply. If you are using a VPN to connect, try turning your VPN off and see if that helps with YouTube trailer playback. Youtube feature play for content providers on how they could limit sharing their content through Youtube. This limit would possibly change for each Youtube member. Just thought I would mention this. It may not have anything to do with your trailer playback issue. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6301625?hl=en

Hi, we are working on getting this updated. Thanks.

1. Thank you very much, I'll experiment with that. If it doesn't work, I'll just delete the code from "Header Transparency & Frost" and go back to the default gray header. 2. If in the Display section you find the "Preferred TV Show display" subsection and select "Show all episodes of all seasons together" then the TV series seasones will also be displayed as drop-down lists. I like this display much better than the individual folder display, since in my case almost all of my shows have either one or two seasons. Otherwise, I just experimented with the code a bit to customize the UI to my taste. At least as much as possible. (screanshot 1) 3. Thanks for the reply. I hope they implement a feature like this someday. 4. Perhaps in this case I will also have to wait until someone can implement my idea. Currently, the display through "Show all episodes of all seasons together" more than satisfied for me but in ideal i would like to have smth like i show in my second screanshot, when each season is located on a separate tab, and the episodes are arranged in a table, that is, one under the other. It would also be great if the information from the About section was displayed as a single line, rather than in a column as it is now. But that's a question for the developers, not you. P.S. I also noticed that your section "LAYOUT & ORDERING"doesn't take into account the presence of collections. While collections were previously placed between "CAST" and "SIMILAR" items by default, the presence of the "LAYOUT & ORDERING" section now causes collections to be displayed at the very top, immediately below the description, which may not be very convenient. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you very much in advance.

Will be fixed in the next beta and release. Partially fixed in the latest beta but there’s still ads in some trailers.

There is 7 day expiry for port maps created by Emby Server. You can circumvent that by rebooting the router. So make sure the redundant server does not have the option for auto launch on login to windows. Shut it down. Reboot the router Then setup the nvidia shield as the only emby server with 8096 as the port to forward to the server With multiple emby server the solution would be as specified in the article: > In such cases, you will need to change the public ports and ensure that each emby server has a different public port. But whilst most routers allow you to have a different public port from the private/local port, some routers do not. For routers that support it, you would have one port forward for example forwarding wan/public port 32601 to lan/private port 8096 for the first server and say wan/public port 32602 to lan/private port 8096 for the second server and in each server settings you specifiy public port 32601 for first server and 32602 for second server

I'm having an issue with the current Windows Emby version 2.234.2.0: the trailer starts to load or play, but then the YouTube trailer stops. Everything works fine in the browser and on Android, so it seems to be a Windows app is

As mentioned, I also have Plex configured on this same hardware and pointed at the same media, etc. The kids were able to watch a couple movies the other day straight through without any stuttering, stopping, or crashing issues via Plex (using official Plex client on Apple TV) like I'm encountering with Emby. So to recap: I have three media server platforms - Emby, Jellyfin, and Plex. All three are configured essentially the same. Installed in containers on the same server, using the same NVME drive for cache and transcode directories, reading from the same media folders and files which are configured using read-only bind mounts across the board. Emby has issues but the other two do not. The only other thing I can think of to test next is enabling debug logs and testing more videos.

So I have to change the public port? Can I delete the PC server and just have the Shield one to save confusion?

There are also emby client app logs that may help as well as event log fir bits-client. But as there have been fixes in the forthcoming version for downloads, it may be best for you to join the beta group we are putting together for the Emby Web app. If you like to try the next beta, let me know and i will add you to the PM thread and you can provide the requested info and get added to the beta group

It's been TWO FULL YEARS. Do you plan on fixing this ever??? Ontop of this; now Emby forum is sending me emails for every single message in a conversation I was added to but have not participated in and have explicitly disabled notifications for.

Emby suddenly wont update images/info even after manually identifying the shows.

Took a while with Chatgpt but got it fixed. Some folders were full like transcoding was like using most of the space so AI guided me to fix this at least for now -
Conversions filling system disk: Any way to set a storage cap?
me@jackbenda.com replied to me@jackbenda.com's topic in Linux
This is a really helpful pointer. This issue arose just before i went on holiday on the 1st of April, and I don't have those logs any more. I've just updated all the permissions and I'm running a few things as a trial run. Hopefully this will work! Big thanks to both. -

That first embyserver.txt is when I first noticed it. I just checked from a completely different network and it looks the same. Here's the current log. embyserver.txt -
#1 Blur on the header is an all or nothing sort of thing. Maybe try playing around or add a new variable here to find a neutral ground. /* --- EFFECTS & ANIMATIONS --- */ --blur-light: blur(10px); /* Soft background blur */ --blur-heavy: blur(20px); /* Strong background blur */ --blur-extreme: blur(30px); /* Maximum depth blur */ #2 I think this is the setting you are looking for: To be honest I completely forgot about that option, hence some confusion. I never styled the view you had, but glad to see the stylesheet did its own thing without having to think about it.

Plugin: EmbyCredits, detect end credits and add auto skip.
yocker replied to yocker's topic in Plugins
Yes, it will update just like other plugins in the catalog. Will still require a reboot of the server ofc. Edit: You will need to install it from the catalog before it will automatically update. Having the dll manually installed is not enough. -
Hi @Aaronelderwe are working on getting a windows app update out that should help improve the download feature with it. Thanks. @softworkz @sa2000

Did you go through the checklist and did you spot the one about having two emby servers on the local network?

I have managed to get access on my phone and shield TV on my local network. Stuck at trying to access it at my work. Sky broadband is a bit of a nightmare for port forwarding. Is this the correct method in the photo below? I am back on shift next week so I can try access it again on my tablet.

Conversions filling system disk: Any way to set a storage cap?
Luke replied to me@jackbenda.com's topic in Linux
Hi, yes this is the most common reason for conversions taking up a lot of disk space.
