I entered it in the email form.. not the name form.. that it "magically" ended up there is quite baffling because i didnt write it twice and im yet to have my browser auto-fill my email anywhere else. -

Really? Almost every modern browser has autofill forms. How would the forum know your email address before you entered it? -

You were already advised that an admin has to do that (and it is clearly stated under Member group privileges). -

It might happen at some point in time. Is it OK for it to be detected as a Device/Computer?, should they submit a logo for Emby to show?.

Thank you. Long press does go back slowly. Short press goes back zero. Even though it is set to 10 secs.

Iphone11 Chrome: PDF Rendering Blurry Issue & My approach to solving the problem

Hello! When I view PDFs in the Chrome browser on iOS devices (iPhone/iPad) via Emby, the PDFs appear blurry. I experimented with some crude methods and managed to display them clearly. I hope to share this with the community in the hope of contributing to the improvement of the official implementation. This method uses PDF.js to manually render the PDF to the Canvas, employing precise scaling and DPR adaptation to bypass the shortcomings of the native renderer. Here is the JavaScript part: let pdfDoc = null; const dpr = window.devicePixelRatio || 1; let lastScrollTop = 0; // Load PDF with PDF.js (fixes character encoding issues) async function loadFullscreenPDF() { try { const pdfDoc_ = await pdfjsLib.getDocument({ url: pdfPath, cMapUrl: '{{ url_for('static', filename='pdfjs-dist/cmaps/') }}', cMapPacked: true }).promise; pdfDoc = pdfDoc_; renderFullWidthPages(); } catch (e) { pdfContainer.innerHTML = `<div class="pdf-error">PDF Load Failed:${e.message}</div>`; } } // Render PDF pages with high-resolution scaling async function renderFullWidthPages() { pdfContainer.innerHTML = ''; const usableWidth = getUsableWidth(); for (let pageNum = 1; pageNum <= pdfDoc.numPages; pageNum++) { const page = await pdfDoc.getPage(pageNum); let viewport = page.getViewport({ scale: 1 }); const scale = (zoomSelect.value === 'auto') ? usableWidth / viewport.width : (parseFloat(zoomSelect.value) * (usableWidth / viewport.width)); const realScale = scale * dpr; viewport = page.getViewport({ scale: realScale }); const canvas = document.createElement('canvas'); const ctx = canvas.getContext('2d'); canvas.width = viewport.width; canvas.height = viewport.height; canvas.style.width = `${usableWidth}px`; canvas.style.height = 'auto'; canvas.style.display = 'block'; canvas.style.margin = '0 auto !important'; pdfContainer.appendChild(canvas); await page.render({ canvasContext: ctx, viewport: viewport }).promise; } } // Listen for screen/orientation changes to re-render (maintain sharpness) zoomSelect.addEventListener('change', renderFullWidthPages); window.addEventListener('orientationchange', () => { toolbarHeight = pdfToolbar.offsetHeight; renderFullWidthPages(); }); // Initialize PDF load loadFullscreenPDF(); -
Interesting clue - the recycle bin has three folders: a UUID, the movie folder, and another UUID. The last UUID folder has a time stamp of when we deleted the movie the second time, and that folder has the movie poster image.

What i introduced myself as Ivana Humpalot from Russia, but realized i mixed up the emby forum for the LGTQB+ forum, do you still think its a good idea with the 50 posts rule before you can change your nick? Whats the point of that rule? - Today

What if i put in some strange name like Dick Johnson, but then regret.. "oh noes, its emby forum, not "badjokes.com". Do you really want that weird name all over your message board before youre able to change it? -

I didn't want to dig thru my old posts about this same issue to tag this new derivative to it, so here's a new post! I have Android TV (what we mainly use) and the standard Android app on the Shield. Last night we opened ATV, see a newly recorded movie "I Am Legend" on the Home Screen in 'latest', decided we really didn't want to watch it, and then deleted it. We then go into the Movies library and browse. We see the movie we just deleted but with a 'missing image' for the movie card. We select a movie and watch it. We opened the std app and see the deleted movie on the Home Screen in latest, and it also shows a 'missing image' for the movie card. We delete it again and it goes away. The deleted movie timestamp in Windows Recycle Bin is the time we deleted it the first time. Any clues in the log file as to what went wrong? embyserver-63907315200.txt

Funny, i have never experienced my browser do that. Why is this place the first time that have ever happened? And i cant change my nickname either until after 50 posts. Strange rule dont you think? -

maybe this was ment to happen to underline my point: If you engineer a system where 1 mistake locks you into a cycle of pointless posting or need of assistance, youre making yourself morally responsible for assisting customers that make these mistakes. When youre in the military, you dont give out fragile guns that can break if someone, you make sure that gun works no matter what mistake or abuse the user does to it. I think the same design philosphy should be the goal even if its software for a home server or a message board. First time ive heard of a message board that automatically puts in your email if you forget to type a nickname. -

The display name field is first. If that got autofilled with your email, it wasn't the forum that did that. It was your browser. -
I have tried the new version, the filename rules work fine with series and seasons, but seems to have problem with episodes. My chinese subtitle icon is displayed on Series and seasons poster, but not shown on episode fanarts

Artwork from TMDB(Background,poster)
Blueskies278 replied to Blueskies278's topic in General/Windows
I've had great success with TMDB for thumbnails, as 99% of their images meet the 1920x1080 standard. Fanart.tv is useless, It only covers about 5% of my TV shows. I use thumb view and need the titles included. Fanart.tv works for posters, but I’d love to see a 'text-on-thumb' option added. Keep in mind that the 'Thumb view specifically scaled down to fit the thumbnail slot, it isn't utilised as a high-resolution backdrop. -

@Luke do you have some news on this? Having some kind of option to disable animations would be quite welcome. I'm running the app on a couple of MiStick 4Ks and feels really slow, not a nice experience at all. I've disabled the animation settings in Developer Options but as mentioned above, makes no change in Emby for Android (in Emby for Android TV the settings have effect) -

Should you build a house out of glass though? Is that smart? -
@LukeYes when the VPN is off, all channels get their guide data. Today however for some reason where about ~ 15 channels would get their guide, only 3-4 are getting it with the VPN on. I'm now not convinced that data.tmsapi.com is what should be bypassed or maybe something else should because I turned off the VPN and ran wireshark and filtered on the IP address associated with this during a refresh and I don't see as much traffic as I would expect for the duration of the downloaded; which takes quite a while. I need to do more research to see what's being called to put those to be filtered out. Below is the network activity that was getting data during the refresh. Will see what I can find and update later this week. Thanks
