DarkStar1977 started following STRM theme-music Support
-
Not sure if it's a related issue but, if you have a folder (a movie for example) that points to another folder with a STRM file and you add the "Theme-music folder" the music is never played, this happens to all folders where the main item is a STRM file but works fine on for example avi or mkv files in the folder Hope this helps.

Playlist add new songs on top instead on bottom
DarkStar1977 replied to ich777's topic in Feature Requests
Easiest solution: Ask for a position number when adding, something like: "The current playlist (or the name of the playlist) has 3748 items, please provide the position for the new item (or name of the item)" Suggesting by default the latest position: 3749" This will allow to position it on top: "1" or bottom: "3749" or if you want to put in on the middle "1874" Hope this helps. -

Hi, thanks for the info. Yes my potato is old however, it has worked very well for my emby server for the household. I don't normally get 4k content. I have moved from windows to Linux on all my PC's. Running bazzite on my main pc and Unraid on server. Reason I want unraid is the drive pool with different size drives. I am not planning on a huge homelab. I have tried to run arr stack but my old brain can not cope. I am happy with just emby and maybe some home automation. I have found this which is the cheapest in Oz. https://www.australiancomputertraders.com.au/nvidia-quadro-p1000-4gb-gddr5-full-height-pcie-gra?srsltid=AfmBOor646bueJ1MSW0R6HuS2Apjpr-ClA3RJM1wO8fdGZpoNeE-BXLV I will upgrade at some point however I want as many sata ports as possible hence my idea of getting pci. The case I am looking at is https://www.ple.com.au/products/680604/jonsbo-n6-34l-compact-matx-9-bay-nas-case-black?srsltid=AfmBOorXXfbBFkaBJHEyFYa5UFZkXeaMXowxp_1jADd9CU52lX1saRgP I am up for any advice on os to run emby. Not the best at linux however, I can learn and google what I need. Bazzite is running great. Windows can kiss my A$%.

Someone else just submitted a pull request on the projects Github. I need to review that. Then I'll research this idea. Thanks for your suggestion.

TV Show Status — TMDB-powered Returning/Ended/Cancelled badges for series
GrimReaper replied to Blueskies278's topic in Plugins
Looking good on default image size posters (Extra Large badge size and Solid background), though personally I'd like some more bigger size-options, at least one size above Extra large, possibly two. It is (same settings as above), though same stands: I'd prefer a tad bigger badge size. They are, according US dates. Though I'm not bothered by those if it's a day off. Haven't noticed anything save no Canceled badges, only Returning/Ended. Generally, for my purposes, working very good out-of-the-box, well done. -
And there we go, all sorted!! Many thanks

GrimReaper started following Stats for Nerds on Emby App
-
Go to App Settings>Emby for Android Settings section Playback settings>scroll down, set/select what does long-press OK do from the dropdown (Stats for Nerds is one of the options, basically mimicking AndroidTV behavior).
-
Thanks I thought as much. Hopefully one day this option could find its way over to the standard app
-
In the regular app you will have to open the stats for nerds in the menu.
-
@bingbong69_without GPU-Next MPV will not support DV tonemapping.
-
Mine still does it lots. No improvement. Not much engagement from the emby team. To the point I'm now removing all my played webhooks because they don't work when this issue happens and instead have a script to execute my webhook on a schedule...

4K HEVC shows as 1080p, think I can't find any setup to fix?
ebr replied to PeteGul's topic in Android
Hi. Set your Shield/TV to 4K and turn off resolution matching in the app. You are saying this still ends up in 1080? -
Okie dokie. Thanks.
-
Hi. Collection primary images are assumed to be poster shaped because most of them are. So, if you have collections made up of items with primary images that are not that shape, you probably will want to provide an image of your own instead of relying on the automatic ones.
-
I know this is an old thread, but I occasionally have this issue, even today. GoogleTV app and server client are both updated and current.
-
Sorry I'm just not on these forums often, I'm usually on the Moonfin community discord or doing things on GitHub. 1. It's being worked on 2. Yes, it's on the README 3. No Yes, Settings > Playback > Video > Live TV Direct Fixed for the upcoming release, testing team is finishing up
-
@bingbong69_guess thats a no to the above then?

ConsoleKing started following Stats for Nerds on Emby App
-
I used to use the AndroidTV app and on my remote if I held the enter/action (middle button) for a few seconds the 'stats for nerds' info popup would show up. I moved over to the regular app on the TV but found out this no longer works, is there any other quick fire way/shortcut to bring up this information instead or is this not a function on the regular app. Thanking you in advance!

HLS transcoding for Apple's native player: fMP4 segments, and an HDR + SDR variant pair
vdatanet replied to vdatanet's topic in Developer API
No plans for iOS at the moment — Apple TV is my only target for now. The app is built specifically around the tvOS experience (focus engine, remote, big-screen playback), so an iOS version would be a separate project rather than a quick port. Thanks for asking! -
TV Show Status — TMDB-powered Returning/Ended/Cancelled badges for series
Blueskies278 replied to Blueskies278's topic in Plugins
TV Show Status — beta Thanks for testing. This is a beta: it works on my UGREEN iDX6011 Pro NAS running Emby in Docker, and hasn't been tested on other platforms. What it does Shows a TV series' status — Returning, Ended, Cancelled, or the next air date — where you can actually see it. Three separate ways, and they work independently: Poster overlay Reaches every client, including the TV apps. Modifies cached artwork only — your real image files are never touched. Web badge Web browser only. Doesn't touch your library at all. Status in description Reaches every client. Writes to the overview field, so it does change your library metadata. The poster overlay is the main thing to try. It draws the badge into the image on the server, so it appears on Android TV, Fire TV, tvOS and the mobile apps as well as the browser — with nothing installed on the device. Also worth installing: my Trakt Air Dates plugin. If you're outside the US, it fixes air dates landing a day early — and this plugin picks up its corrections automatically. See the bottom of this page for why that happens at all. Installing Copy EmbyTVShowStatus.dll into your Emby plugins folder Restart Emby Open Settings → Plugins → TV Show Status Put in a TMDB API key (free, from themoviedb.org) Check the three status boxes on that page Works on NAS/Docker, Linux, Windows and macOS. No platform-specific setup, and no hardcoded paths — the plugin prints whatever path it resolved at runtime. If you are upgrading from an earlier build Two settings reset to their defaults. This is expected, not a bug — the options were renamed because their meaning changed, so old saved values no longer match anything. What the overlay reports → Show status only What to badge on thumbnails → Only 'Complete' Set them again. Nothing else is affected. The three status boxes The settings page reports its own state rather than failing quietly. Please read them before reporting anything — they usually say exactly what's wrong. Web Badge/Description Script — whether the browser badge deployed. On Docker this can need one chown; the box prints the exact command for your platform. Air Dates — which source dates come from. Poster Overlay — what the overlay is doing, and if you've named a user for "ready to binge", whether that name actually matches an Emby account. What would be genuinely useful to hear Does the badge look right on your artwork? Size, position, opacity are all adjustable. If the defaults look wrong on your library, that's worth knowing. Is it readable on a TV? If it looks soft, try Overlay badge background → Medium. That's measurably clearer on the sort of downscaled image a TV app receives. Are the dates right? They should match your Upcoming list. If one is a day out, tell me which show. Anything that fails silently. If something appears to do nothing, that's the bug I most want to hear about — most of this plugin's worst bugs looked like features working badly rather than features being broken. Known limitations, so you don't spend time on them Your library's thumbnail view and the Upcoming list can't have different badges. Both ask Emby for the same series thumbnail — one file, two screens. Whatever you set for one applies to the other. If you want full badges with dates and a clean Upcoming, use poster view for the library; Upcoming never requests a poster. A date badge on an Upcoming card can look wrong. It shows the series' next episode date, so on a card for a later episode it's a different day — "26 Aug" sitting under "Thursday 27 Aug". Correct for the show, useless on that card. That's why Only Complete is the default there. Badges on the TV apps have to be baked into the image. A plugin can't draw into an app's interface; Emby exposes no way to do it. If you'd rather your artwork wasn't touched at all, Prepend status to show description reaches every client, but it's plain text with no icon or colour. "Draw badges on library cards" is browser-only. It does nothing on the TV apps. Off by default. Turning it off Untick Draw the badge into poster images and your original artwork returns as Emby regenerates its cache. Your real image files are never modified — only Emby's cached copies — so nothing is permanently changed. Air dates — and a companion plugin worth running TMDB stores an air date as a bare date, with no time and no timezone. So a US show broadcast at 8pm Eastern is recorded as that day in America — and read literally, that's the previous calendar day for anyone in the UK or Europe. The result is episodes showing up under the wrong day in Upcoming, and badges that disagree with the list they're sitting next to. I'd recommend running my other plugin, Trakt Air Dates, alongside this one. https://emby.media/community/topic/148586-trakt-air-dates-—-outside-the-us-fixes-us-shows-landing-on-the-wrong-day/#findComment-1535373 It fixes that at the source: Trakt returns a real UTC timestamp for every episode rather than a bare date, so the day is converted properly for wherever you are. It corrects your Upcoming list, and TV Show Status picks up those same corrected dates automatically — no configuration, nothing to link up. Install it and this plugin starts using it. Some detail worth knowing: US and Canadian shows only. Deliberate on both sides. A show released at midnight in its own country doesn't have this problem, and "correcting" it would create one — an earlier build did exactly that and shifted a show a day the wrong way. Optional, not required. Without it, TMDB's dates are used as-is. That's a perfectly normal setup and nothing will break. The Air Dates box on the settings page tells you which source is in use, so you never have to guess whether it's connected. If you're outside the US and watch US shows, it's the difference between an Upcoming list you can trust and one that's quietly a day out. Still looking into this. Shows from elsewhere — anywhere in a timezone ahead of you — keep TMDB's own dates for now, because the correction that helps US shows would push those the wrong way. Whether that can be handled properly rather than just skipped is something I'm working on. EmbyTVShowStatus.dll TVShowStatus-2.5.54.0-Release-Notes.pdf TVShowStatus-Settings-Reference.pdf -
