Do we even have an approximate date for when LG might review the app? It's been under review for over a month now.

Let me give another example with some documented photos and the up to date log. TV show "The Bear" Filed under the headline of "Bear, The" Sub folders for Seasons 1-4 with episodes stored in each one as such "the-bear-s01e01-1080" I added "Season 5" with the same naming convention. Emby picks up that it is indeed Season 5 and adds them but doesn't add any episode title / plot / thumbnails like the other 4 seasons. Someone refers to anyone that reads that message. Thats the whole point of the message base is it not? How else should i refer to anyone, who reads that, with one word? I am realizing i need to be more careful with wording, as i realize this software is used all over the world and english is not everyones fist language. and of course my poor spelling. LOL Fire refers to trigering a file meaning scripts, executables, and or bat's to be run. As for "where" that could be anywhere, as that will be determined by the process that runs the file. As you did not ask when, it is "When a user changes the channel on Iive TV". With the user being, someone who logs in though the intranet, being internal net. Cool? Sorry for the confusion. I was on the Beta branch due to Hardware Transcoding not working on my Intel 265k. This is on the Docker image running on Unraid. All of a sudden, I noticed some videos would not play on my Android TV app and noticed it was only newly imported videos and in the Video info for it says <Unknown>. When using External Player it works and interestingly it works perfectly fine on my Android Phone w/o an External Player. After moving back to Stable branch, it still shows <Unknown> but, after attempting to play the file it seems to struggle for a bit and then it worked. After that, it showed the proper Video Info. I then moved back to Beta Branch just to see if that video now works when the Video Info is detected and it continues to work. So it looks like an issue during the importing of the video in the Beta branch. I tested h/w transcoding after moving back to Stable and it looks to be working on the 265k now so will be staying on the stable branch moving forward. Just wanted to report this as I have not seen any report this yet and wanted to make you are aware so that it can be fixed before the next stable release. Similar issue reported in the past here which looked to only have affected Linux.

Thanks for the feedback. I completely understand; personally, I don't experience any issues or slowdowns without the suffixes. Still, couldn't we have an option to choose whether to use suffixes or not ? Best regards.

@Luketried refreshing metadata, renaming the files, renaming the headline files to include TMDB ID numbers all sorts. It doesn't want to know haha.. Its across a lot of TV shows (strangely not movies jut TV shows)

weirdly I tried using Plex to see what would happen. PLex doesn't even find the files!! I think it must have something to do with when I started compressing them with Handbrake. Its the only possible explanation but I cut find any connections between metadata loss and compressing a file. I am selecting "passthrough common metadata when I do it"

I guess because the other idea integrates a whole DL-Mgmt with DL status indicator into Emby, while this one just checks the calendars, so no direct connection to downloads.

Here is a new server log. @Luke - Its not a singular problem its across anything I now add to embed. it won't recognise ay of the metadata for any Tv show episodes I add. It knows its part of the "show" but won't add plot, thumbnails or anything. have a look at the screenshots above to see I am structuring them in the right way. They used to grab the metadata, now they don't? The log is from me restarting the server, I can't go back more than I have.. I don't know why embyserver.txt

And which specific example do you want to focus on here? And for that specific example, what exactly happened? How are the files named and organized? This is only a recent problem so I don’t think it has anything to do with structure and organization but see below. After creating the movie rip I add the movie to my Emby path for library. So let’s use Piranah 3D as our example file. files are names and organized like: Movie folder which Emby sees as the movie library and inside that looks like this. Folder: Piranah 3D (2010) [imdb-tt0464154] File inside folder: Piranha 3D (2010) [imdb-tt0464154].mkv metadata all present from Emby scan to identify and is correct.

What makes you think it's not sorting by play date?

There is a general playback start event you can use under webhook. it sounds like that is what you want.

This is such a small thing that we should be able to find the answer to. Why go through an entire uninstall reinstall just for this?

You could also try refreshing the metadata on those specific episodes.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, Though i need to do the work at the time of channel change, and the Live TV Webhook only deals with recordings and its very thurough. While it does hit a channel change, it is when a recording starts, It does not deal with Live TV channel change every time a user does. The Playback Webhook has a Start, I imagine it would fire when anything is played back ie. saved movie or TV. I need only to fire, when channel change is selected by a user. I Like the feature for, at the end of recordings being used for Show Analizer. I searched hopeing there was another script place . Took me over a year to find the, click on your face, when your logged in on with the web. LOL So I am hopeing there is a way you are refering to, that i do not understand the concept of yet, with the WebHooks. That would allow me to get, when a user changes, Live TV channels. I can get, when I do, i cant when some one else does yet. If You would please be a little more explicit. I may be able to pick up on your reference/ hint. Thank you. I just love all the things one can have this software can do.

Hi, in the upcoming 4.10 release the web app will have options to force transcoding for certain formats. I suppose we could always add aac to that.

The format of the file is very strict and there is no place to put arbitrary data. But the main point of putting the data in the file name is performance. It means you don't have to open up the file to know what it is, and if it could be used by certain clients or not.

@Luke Attached is a fresh server log right after the Trakt import. missing data i can see is these movies I’ve recently added: piranah 3d, piranah 3dd, stop! Or my mom will shoot, Don’t look up. This is just a few of them that will not update its watch status. embyserver.txt
