End Credits Detection for resume/next episode
yocker replied to crusher11's topic in Feature Requests
I'm not adding movies to EmbyCredit detection. Scanning for end credits would be impossible with audio fingerprinting and using OCR would take ages. Not speaking for other plugins ofc. -
[iOS] Embeat — a native, music-only player for Emby (gapless, DLNA, offline)

Thanks for the suggestion! CarPlay is planned — I'm just wrapping up the Android version first, and it's almost done. CarPlay will follow shortly after. -

the plugin works well, but not scan the file channels.. i explain if you change resolution 1280x720 for 1920x1080 on .m3u , will try rescan the playlist and not update a resolution on emby continue older config... You need to delete the TV source and create it again for it to work.

Hello, I may need to cancel my emby subscription if this issue cannot be fixed. Are there any other resources I could use to figure out what is wrong?
-
Just came here to say I'm having the same issue and thought I was crazy after trying it in multiple browsers.

So my pbp files are now showing up(PlayStation), I just think it took a little longer for them to pickup. so that one is not and issue -
@One2GoYou think he is karma farming? Because here that makes absolutely zero sense since there is no awards or any kind of anything based on your likes, post count, or anything else. Sometimes people get really excited. They cannot contain that excitement. They think the world is missing out on the next big thing. They forget that everyone may not be as excited as they are about the thing that excites them. Then they post here about it. Get zero traction. So try to keep the momentum going and the post relevant. But it winds up not going in the direction they wanted. It turns negative. So they keep posting new stuff, videos, anything to try to get the ship righted. People to see what they are missing out on. Without ever realize that everyone is different. That instead of being seen as an excited person sharing new information that others may have missed it becomes this long drawn out thread where the person is really just trying. Perhaps trying too hard. When people get really caught up in things their excitement shows in this way. It doesn't mean the OP is unhinged or some negative thing. It is okay. The person is upset no one is finding the same joy in what they find joy in. That is expected being this is an Emby forum meant for using Emby. But it doesn't mean the person is wacko. They might be young and caught up in the moment. Their circumstances might be different than yours. Doesn't mean they are harmful to me or you. They are just different. Everybody has a bad day. This guy might just be having an off moment. Apologies if this comes off wrong. I am just trying to keep the peace without ruin everything. Hopefully that is what occurs, is kindness, rather than hate. That is all.

End Credits Detection for resume/next episode
alex77777 replied to crusher11's topic in Feature Requests
With the plugins that are currently available, I think that its time to at least add prompts added to skip credits of movies similar to TV Shows "Next Episode" prompt. I understand not having a auto detect feature built in to Emby its self as it can be inconsistent but recent plugins gave us the ability to identify recaps and credits but are we are unable to utilize this information to its fullest because there are no controls to skip recaps or movie credits. Id like to see a recap marker added similar to how you can mark credits and intros, and allow for on screen prompt to skip over these marked sections. - Today

Hi. This would really be the same thing as skipping commercials.

Ignore m3u and add dropdown for playlists
StuBailey replied to dannymichel's topic in Feature Requests
For starters I looked in the Playlist Library and it didn't show after turning off the import.. I see how it works so to see that playlist in another library, if it was working, would require I have a path in that/those library.. I have lots working this way except for a music playlist. -
Thanks for your help everyone...and thanks for the detailed breakdown of the differences between 'Theater' and 'App' scottpro...appreciate it.

Video Playback Forces "Presentation Mode" / Hijacks Entire Screen on Samsung DeX (One UI 8.0 / Android 16)
prioirty_queue replied to prioirty_queue's topic in Android
The issue has been resolved on my device. Thank you very much! There is still one minor issue: in DeX mode, when I move the mouse cursor over the floating Emby video window during playback, the cursor becomes invisible. It looks as though the cursor is being rendered underneath the Emby video layer. However, the cursor is only visually hidden. When I move it to the corresponding positions, I can still interact with the playback controls normally, such as Settings, fast-forward, and so on. Therefore, I don’t think this is a major issue. -

Android (not TV) application will not auto-connect to known server (LAN)
voodoo5_6k posted a topic in Android
Hi, I've just installed the current version from github and it stopped auto-connecting to the known server (on the LAN). Every time when restarting the application, it will stop at the select server window. If I select the known server, and hit connect, it will connect. Forgetting the server and re-entering everything won't alter the application's behaviour. This behaviour is new. The previous version didn't do this. And nothing else changed. -
Still no news?

chuwz started following Bring an Emby for Android TV's design to the Emby Universal App
-
Hello @Luke@ebr I'm using the Emby for Android TV 2.1.51g. I found that the design of Emby for Android TV was exactly what I was looking for. As shown in the video, when I select Episode 3 and press the down arrow on the remote, the following happens: Episode 3 is selected in the “More from” section. Screenbits 2026-07-25_132556.mp4 In other words, on Emby for Android TV, the poster displayed under “More from” is always the current episode. I know But the fact is that Emby for Android TV is designed to display the current episode's poster. Because Emby for Android TV has a lot of issues, such as this bug, I gave up on Emby for Android TV and switched to the Emby Universal App. However, the design of the Emby Universal App is odd—it’s far inferior to the “always display the current episode’s poster” design of Emby for Android TV. Here's how Emby Universal App is currently designed: When I enter Episode 3 and press the “Down” button on the remote, the “More from” section moves the cursor to Episode 4 or Episode 2. (as shown in the video). Screenbits 2026-07-27_071108.mp4 This design prevented me from seeing the poster for the current episode, so I enabled "Show a poster on the detail screen". Then I noticed a BUG on my Android TV At this point, it should select the episode 2, but it selects the episode 3 instead. In other words, the cursor selection is messed up... I'm reporting this BUG here (I recorded a video; you can take a look.); please fix it as soon as possible. Therefore, the Emby Universal App currently does not support the feature where “the poster displayed under ‘More from’ is always the current episode,” unless you port this design from Emby for Android TV to the Emby Universal App. By the way, this design by Emby Universal App is quite illogical, because both Plex and third-party Emby clients use a design that “displays the poster for the current series.” Plex does Yamby does (this is a video) Screenbits 2026-07-27_114244.mp4 Hills does So could you please bring this Emby for Android TV's design to the Emby Universal App? Thank you very much!
