Hi SamES, I think there is a bit of a misunderstanding regarding how the Nvidia Shield TV Pro operates compared to native TV apps like those on LG (webOS) or Samsung (Tizen). While it is true that native TV apps are often limited by the OS and hardware to lossy Dolby Digital Plus (DD+), the Nvidia Shield is a completely different beast. I have my Shield connected to an LG C3 OLED, which then passes the audio via eARC to my Samsung Q990D soundbar. I can confirm that when using the Emby app on the Shield, it correctly performs passthrough for lossless TrueHD (Atmos). My soundbar explicitly displays 'Dolby Atmos' (TrueHD) and not just 'Dolby Digital'. The limitation you mentioned applies to the native LG webOS app—which, in my experience, often struggles with licenses and even downgrades Atmos to basic Dolby Digital (not even Plus) during certain updates. However, claiming that the Shield has the same limitation within the app is incorrect; the Shield is specifically designed to handle these high-definition passthrough formats without conversion, provided the hardware chain (TV eARC and Soundbar) supports it, which mine does perfectly Hi SamES, In addition to everything described above, I would also like to add that, to further clarify, there is a massive performance gap between the Nvidia Shield TV Pro and the native LG webOS app that goes beyond just audio. In my setup (Shield TV Pro -> LG C3 -> Samsung Q990D via eARC), the Shield handles lossless TrueHD (Atmos) perfectly. My soundbar explicitly displays 'Dolby Atmos' (TrueHD), proving that the bitstream passthrough is working exactly as intended. The Shield does NOT convert Atmos to basic Dolby Digital; it is designed specifically to avoid that limitation. On the other hand, the native LG app is a complete disaster. Not only does it often fail to passthrough Atmos (downgrading it to basic Dolby Digital, not even Plus), but it also struggles with Dolby Vision metadata. I’ve noticed that when the LG app encounters certain audio tracks it can't handle, it seems to go into a 'protection mode' or forces a transcode that breaks the video layer. As a result, I often see the TV trigger HDR10 instead of Dolby Vision, which is absurd for a high-end OLED C3. This inconsistency doesn't happen on the Shield. Because the Shield supports Direct Play for both TrueHD and various Dolby Vision profiles, the server doesn't need to touch the file. Everything stays intact. Claiming the Shield app has the same limitations as the LG or Samsung native apps is simply incorrect; the Shield is the only way to actually get the full quality out of a setup like mine.

Setting the folder name to the structure 驭灵师/Season 1/S01E01.mp4 is working and it is setting the same external Id when I go to edit meta data as well. But renaming the folder to B.King and setting the id just the same is not giving me the expected result. While it is certainly a working solution having the chinese name, I have a few hundred englished named folders and having a single one with chinese characters is sub optimal for me.

Honestly, the cinema intro plug-in is long over due for an overhaul. It's needs some love from the Devs. Not just the randoms trailers part, but more control on what is played over all. More options are always better in my opinion, but it is what is. This request is from 6+ years ago at this point.

I don't get audio when playing DTS HD-MA either on my Fire Stick 4K Max. (The newest gen, with Wifi6E) Not with 3.5.28 or 2.1.36

It did look like the attached photos (only 3 films inside "movies" but the thumbs were showing films that were deleted moths ago). However, I think I may have finally fixed it.... Did a backup of the embyserver Uninstalled the embyserver and ensured both @appstore and @appdata /EmbyServer folders (synology) was deleted. Reinstalled embyserver and performed a restore. Interestingly when I first did the restore, the thumbs did still show wrong again (exactly as before) but after a fresh scan of library files, it corrected them and so far it has been many hours and they still are correct (previously a scan corrected them but they reverted back only after an hour)

They're getting the correct result when searching, though, so I don't think the search term is at issue here.

Have you tried using the Chinese name 驭灵师 instead of B.King? Paul

Any progress with this? I know it's a pretty niche request, but I'd expect it to be pretty simple given you're just adding an extra item to an existing list?

This would mean that you wan address changes. The easiest way to get the same wan address every day, Is to call your ISP and ask for an static IP. Then I should stop changing.

Im doing EXACTLY that right now, with individual movies aswell as movies in my collection folder with the goal of making it look sweet in Emby on my TV Yeah, i installed it yesterday, will figure it out during the weekend to see in what way i can use it for this project. Thanx 4 your reply!

What server version did you back to?

@Happy2Play So the Lock prevents both artwork download aswell as changes to the Nfo. info (IMDB ID,TVDB ID, episode titles etc..)? Ill try and change backdrops to 0. Also, does Emby ScreenSaver show files namned fanart and backdrop but just one of those? Thanx!

So if I understand correctly, the only way how to include TMDB ID in the folder name & have a better looking version selection drop down list at the same time, is to set multi-version detection based on files and include [tmdbid=xxxx] also in the filename?

The thread at the top of this subforum is for version 2.234.0.0, but I'm running 2.234.2.0. Where are the notes for that update? How are updates even handled on Windows? I don't think I've ever seen a notification about an update being available. How much longer until the Windows version supports the new home screen?

Hallo, Gibt es eine Möglichkeit den WAN Zugriff vom Smartphone ( bei mir Android ) oder anderen nicht im Heimnetzwerk Geräten ( Freunde / Familie ) so einzustellen dass diese Verbindung dauerhaft existiert? Ich habe das ganze schonmal mit "Plex" gemacht. Dort bezahlt man ein wenig Geld und der Zugriff vom Smartphone ect ist immer möglich. Emby bietet mir aber mehr Möglichkeiten im Abo (später wenn es läuft ). Bis jetzt läuft emby hervorragend im Heimnetzwerk und AUCH über Fernzugriff. Nur dass ich eben täglich oder alle zwei Tage mich mit einer neuen WAN Nummer Beispiel 46.64.109.187:8086 Nächsten Tag 46.64.152.259:8086 ... verbinden muss. When download a subtitle the list of languages to choose from is way to long. I wish there were a setting so we could choose between show only ‘these languages”, or maybe chose favorites that will always be on top in the now LONG list. Takes for ever to scroll within the apps, or a fast scroll (left/right buttons for example).
