Hi Emby Team, I encountered an issue where downloading all songs in a folder scrambles both normal playback and shuffle order in the iOS app. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open any music folder in the iOS app. 2. Download all songs in that folder for offline use. 3. Play the tracks sequentially or tap shuffle. Issue: Once downloaded locally, the queue order becomes corrupted and shuffle playback fails to work as expected compared to streaming. Thanks!

Hi Guys, I tried to set emby up on an Philips 85PUS8500 LED TV. On several other Samsung, Sony and Philips TVs or mobile devices it works fine. I tried using the IP adress as usual, but I also tried emby connect and the Synology Server name. But it says that no connection to the server is possible. Is there anything special with this TV? I am using Synology DS1821+ with emby 4.9.5.0 Can anybody help? Best regards, Dan

Hi @Luke I had the same problem as @lorac (Live TV tile stuck on the home screen). It happens when you uninstall the Live TV Plugin before removing the TV Source from Dashboard / Live TV. Steps to reproduce: Install a Live TV plugin (e.g. a third-party tuner/provider plugin) and add a TV Source for it under Dashboard -> Live TV -> Add TV Source. Without first removing that TV Source again, uninstall the plugin that provided it. Restart the server. Go back to Dashboard -> Live TV. The TV Source is now gone from the list entirely — there is nothing left to delete there. The Live TV tile, however, stays stuck/visible on the home screen. So the bug is specifically about the order of operations: uninstalling a Live TV plugin before removing its TV Source leaves an entry that's invisible and unmanageable through the normal UI (the tuner config is stored in library.db, but the Dashboard can no longer surface it once its provider plugin is gone) — guide refresh alone doesn't help, since the underlying issue isn't stale guide data. In my case it was the "M3UTuner" plugin, which I uninstalled before deleting the TV Source. For reference, here's what the leftover entry actually looks like in library.db (NamedValues table, key config_livetv): Workaround for anyone hitting this: reinstall the plugin that you originally used for adding the TV Source and the added entry will show up again in Dashboard / Live TV, delete the TV Source properly there, uninstall the plugin again, then restart the server and the empty Live TV tile on the home screen should disappear. Hi, in Emby Server 4.10.0.40, Collections still appears under Library order, but there is no longer any option to hide it from My Media on the home screen. Other libraries can be configured, but Collections does not appear in that section. Is this a bug/regression, or is there another way to hide Collections from the home screen while keeping Collections enabled? Screenshots attached. Thanks!

Hi, I'm on latest 4.10.0.40 server, and I also don't have navigation arrows on my desktop computer with web gui. I tried different browsers, private/incognito mode (disabling cache), but nothing works. Of corse, I disabled TV display mode.

Live TV channels are now excluded from the global search since updating to 4.10. How can we get it back? I don't know why it was taken away. How I can get emby to include live tv channels in the global search when searching for content?

No luck Android app is not usable it just not smooth changed many settings no luck. So far everything plays nicely in Android TV so have sticked with that one until next week get a new tv

Since you posted in this forum, 1 would think it was a general issue, also present in the webui. I suggest you post this in the app section, when you tell us what app you have issues with. That is still unclear..... Yes to say it again.

Ok but are you still on version 4.9.5.0? Or are you on the latest update 4.10? A simple guide refresh wouldn’t just bring them back in the global search if they already exist.

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce DLNA Renderer Filter, a small Emby Server plugin for users who have DLNA/UPnP renderers that they do not want to see in Emby's Play on device list. What it does The plugin detects the DLNA/UPnP MediaRenderer devices discovered by Emby Server and lists them on its settings page. Each renderer can then be enabled or hidden individually. A hidden renderer is filtered only from Emby's DLNA PlayTo discovery path. The plugin does not change the device itself, does not add firewall rules and does not patch Emby.Dlna.dll. New renderers are visible by default. Important limitation This plugin filters DLNA/UPnP renderers only. Chromecast targets and active Emby client sessions are discovered through different paths and are therefore not listed or filtered by this plugin. Unfortunately, no update that I know of. This is one of those strange Emby situations where a feature that already existed, worked, and was useful was simply removed before a proper replacement was ready. Luke said back in 2025 that it needed to be reworked and that it was on the famous “to-do list”, but here we are more than a year later. The funniest part is that Emby still has an “Allow social media sharing” option in the settings, which currently allows you to share exactly nothing. I still don’t understand the logic of completely removing a working feature instead of keeping it until its replacement was ready. Today, when sharing links through WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, etc. is completely normal, being able to send a family member a link that directly opens a movie or show they already have access to on the same server seems like a pretty basic and useful feature. Meanwhile, Plex has continued developing exactly this kind of functionality: users can share titles with friends, copy links, share through other apps, and even grant access to individual movies, shows, seasons or episodes. Apparently Emby’s “to-do list” is more of a long-term storage system.

Are you on emby 4.10? And are you searching for them using the emby app remotely? Or are you searching locally? Because yes they'll show locally but not remotely.

Try a guide data refresh. Not sure if that will do the job. I can search and then see live tv programs.

The latest Emby Theatre now have a issue where pressing play on my remote (to bring up the UI) during playback actually pause the video. Hope this can be fixed so it do not pause.

If you are using existing CSS make sure to remove the :root { and closing }. but the variable declarations should be near the top of your CSS in your existing root. That might be your issue. Also, if you want it to rotate back and forth you can use this JS file. Spotlight.js
