There is a bug in version 2.3.8 with .ass files
MediaEmby1968 replied to MediaEmby1968's topic in Samsung Smart TV
Would you by any chance have version 2.3.4 to install on the TV? With this version it worked, all the ones after none of them work. -
There is a bug in version 2.3.8 with .ass files
MediaEmby1968 replied to MediaEmby1968's topic in Samsung Smart TV
When clicking on a video with external subtitles, this error appears that I have already posted previously. nothing else appears, this text that I put in the photo appears. If it doesn't have a subtitle... no problem it plays it, but if it has a subtitle it doesn't matter srt or ass, the error appears. -
Naming it TDWP fixed it. Thanks.

LiveTV isn't working good on my TV but working good on my PC (Plugin)

From tv guide it works -
The Devil Wears Prada and The Devil Wears Prada 2. One is in my comedy folder (i don't use subfolders) and the other one is in my Drama folder. I don't see why this is a problemm. I have plenty of other movies with just a 2 or 3 at the end and it doesn't affect any of those. And I've never had any issues with not using a different folder for each movie. It just seems to be this movie. I will try naming it TDWP and see what happens.

Those are right. It no longer lists the other episodes in the list, I will watch one or two on Emby and a few more on Kodi, and see if everything sync's up. ... Yes, its not mentioned in the log is why I asked if the "errors" are now removed. I never went looking in the logs until the initial problem I listed, since then I've absolutely looked at the logs. If the previous messages saying no match for show was wrong, well, it'd be great had you said that, but that still begs the questions about V: The Final Battle, which is probably a diff. things. So I will test ThunderCats and let us all know! But in the meantime, you can look at the V: Final Battle issue. Whatever that issue is, I've given you plenty of logs and the tags for IMDB, TVDB, TMDB, TRAKT codes like the previous Emby shared. And this most recent log did NOT say anything about it, not even that it couldnt find it. So thats a problem, whatever it is.

I'm going to guess bitrate settings, and you disabled allow video transcoding. Without a concrete example, and just perusing some TranscodeReasons that's my guess. -

That is not the same location you have told Emby server where your files are. How did you configure your libraries? EDIT: Depending on how you configured the libraries, the error may be indicating an error with that particular partition, but need to see the configuration. EDIT2: Right it's in your log file. Yea you need to be looking at /mnt/wwn-0x5000c500e90d708c-part2 because that's what you set up. I don't know why you would have done it this way, using a wwn in the wrong place...

I think we should probably change it, but then we'll have to deal with those that might be impacted by the change. I was just looking for you to confirm that it's really a change that is required on both sides, not just one. emby should stop writing the id node, but your other software should also stop reading it.

What is even worse is that if you create a single music playlist, you can no longer shuffle all your songs so you can add tracks to it as you listen. Because the moment you create a single playlist, your songs tab vanishes so you can't shuffle them anymore. So as I've mentioned, my media server can't shuffle my music. Unless I delete all my playlists. Until we get the ability to customize the tabs, I really think we need to ditch something other than the Songs tab. Folders or Album Artists would be two good choices in the interim. To have a media server that can't shuffle music is a failure of basic functionality.

Yea unless you follow naming conventions strictly, then I would suggest three separate libraries for those folders rather than one combined library. Actually I would suggest that anyway.

Plugin: Abs2Emby — AudioBookShelf Local Metadata Plugin for Emby
Jdiesel replied to Jdiesel's topic in Plugins
A small update to the Abs2Emby plugin that makes the series name/sequence handling more flexible. Background Emby doesn't have a dedicated field for audiobook or book series — no SeriesName, no SeriesNumber on Book or MusicAlbum entities the way TV shows have seasons and episodes. So the plugin's approach has been a workaround: append the series info directly to the item's title (e.g. "The Fellowship of the Ring - The Lord of the Rings #1") and set IndexNumber from the ABS sequence field. That works, but it's not for everyone. Some people already name their files with series info baked in. Some prefer a clean title list. Others just don't want the sequence number set at all. What's new Two new config toggles in Dashboard → Plugins → ABS Import → Settings (both default true, so existing users see no change): ABS_Import.dll- 1 reply

Movie Naming read this !! Remember ( Year ) in your naming, and TmdbId for good measure. I name the folders like this The Devil Wears Prada (2006) {TmdbId-350} The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) {TmdbId-1314481}

I recently added both of these movies to my library, however, when it scans the library it thinks these 2 different movies are the same thing, even though the file names are different. Tried moving Devil Wears Prada to a different folder, and even though an .nfo and .bif file were created, it does not show up in my library
