0.0.01 ... lol Not sure, probably just an update to mpv-1.dll. You'll have to ask Luke for details. -
【I need to add a custom option for transcoding frame rate】
Kaouning replied to Kaouning's topic in Feature Requests
Currently, mainstream online resources are all in 4K at 60fps. For someone like me who doesn't plan to replace my TV at the moment, this feature is essential to achieve real-time transcoding to 4K at 30fps, rather than simply compressing the bitrate to 1080p at 60fps or lower.I believe that in the future, 8K streaming media will need this feature even more, so you might consider including it in your update plans in advance. -
【I need to add a custom option for transcoding frame rate】
Kaouning replied to Kaouning's topic in Feature Requests
Pre-rendering more versions in advance can solve playback issues, but it will cause my storage pool to accumulate a large amount of additional data (hard drive prices have increased too much now). This is an optimal solution for large-scale server usage, but it is not the best choice for personal media library enthusiasts. This is because our NAS devices are usually replaced relatively quickly, and the latest chips have strong decoding capabilities, making online decoding very smooth. Compared to expensive products like TVs, the cost of upgrading NAS chips is just a fraction of the price of a TV. -

What’s the difference between 3.0.20 and .21? - Today

I couldn't see how to get client logs out of the Xbox or send them to you, the server side is doing fine. Would need to see if I can get small chunks of files not working.

Bug report/feature request: Dolby TrueHD 7.1 transcodes into 192 kBit/s mp3 for Chrome client
AV1Opus replied to AV1Opus's topic in General/Windows
Even AAC 320 kBit/s would be fine by me, it's just that that mp3 is comically low compared to the average video bitrate. -

scottpro replied to d00zah's topic in Windows & Xbox
That repository uses Electron 8.5.2.0 which is really old. The version that is packaged in the deployment, "emby-theater-x64.zip", uses Electron 11.5.0.0. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/emby-theater-windows/releases So it may be working with an old version of Electron, but not the latest one. I also tried using version 3.0.20 and 3.0.21 and they both experience the issue. Both use Electron 11.5.0.0. FYI, ET version 3.0.21 was pulled a while back because the mpv-1.dll was not working correctly. I have ET version 3.0.21 backed up and replaced the broken mpv-1.dll and it works fine. -
Bug report/feature request: Dolby TrueHD 7.1 transcodes into 192 kBit/s mp3 for Chrome client
RanmaCanada replied to AV1Opus's topic in General/Windows
It would be great if it would be fixed, but I highly doubt it will as most of the people who code this stuff don't seem to care about what people want, and have no clue about features. Apple created it and we know how much they hate Opus/AV1. If anything Emby should transcode TRUEHD to AAC for Chrome. There has been more than enough time for the corporations to fix this, but they just don't care, and it's frustrating specially as Opus is superior. -
OpenSubtitles not working, shows "There was an error processing the request" error yet "Success" in Emby log
SolidSnake289 replied to SolidSnake289's topic in General/Windows
Ah - thank you for the clarification. I did, indeed, access the menu as a non-admin user. I don't think I've ever actually browsed my library as an Admin user. Admin account does admin things, normal user account does the watching :-). That said - yes, the search DOES work from that menu as an Admin - so what does that tell us, programmatically/diagnostically? Is the subtitle search code instantiated differently from the Movie Detail view versus the Metadata Manager? (seeing the popup does remind me, though, about the other ~106 items in the OpenSubs API list: they likely don't have exact hash matches, which I think I have enabled on some libraries) -
@mausfieldHi there, can you please describe your issue in more detail? How to Report a Problem Thanks !
-
Right the downside to this is once you start grouping and ungrouping manually, you must continue to manually handle merging for that item forever. So maybe the metadata editor should apply changes from certain fields to all of the versions.

Can you show a screenshot example of what you are seeing? Thanks. -
HI there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks !

To clarify all of this is H.265 without Opus .

My metadata folder weights 200+ gb and my save artwork is set to "Save to media folders"
Happy2Play replied to jmariani's topic in MacOS
What folder is large in /metadata? As People images saved to that location also. You could change path via Library-Advanced tab, then manually move all content from previous location to new location and run the "Scan Metadata Folder" task. -

First of all, I am very excited to be finally seeing an attempt at this outside of the native Blu-ray player, unlike on Apple TV for example basically no-one ended up supporting it. When playing on 1080p SDR 1080p25 and 1080p24 work flawlessly, however when trying to play 4K HDR 24Hz content, the TV is incorrectly reading it as 3D. Keeping in mind this, it works fine with some content when 3D is manually turned off, but some content just straight up does not play either way, which I could narrow down to potentially being a bug with Dolby Vision Profile 7.6 which should just be ignored and one example of HEVC Level 5.2 being tagged while it's in reality nowhere close to 5.1 limits. Network bandwidth is not to blame, some files with even higher bitrate play fine and available bandwidth is 400-ish MBit/s.

Default Subtitles Not Automatically Selected
emby.trace706 replied to emby.trace706's topic in Android
Is the issue that I have multiple English subtitle tracks, so it is just picking the first one instead of the default one? The Default track is the previously selected track, but that is not carrying over to the next episode.- 20 replies

I would like to know as well. Seems like we get very little responses on this issue. I currently have to use the Infuse app to work around this but Infuse isn't free.

As a work around is there a way I can force transcoding of all audio into a compatible format on the Roku?

Not all countries have the app in store. So, if your friends live in another country or are using a VPN then they may not see it in the store. -
