Testing it again when i click cancel i am just left with the Emby logo in the middle of the screen and nothing happens, left it for 10minutes before closing the app. If i don't hit cancel it took 7minutes before the select server option came up

Hi For medias servers it has always been a complicated subject the backup considering size of volumes most of time. On mine I have always used raidz2 to minimize risks of major failures because volume is way too large to be "backupable" (300To). Now with insane prices of hard drive and their lack of avalaibility, I have decided to give up and shut down my server that I was running since 20 years as it's no more manageable now with Hard drives unable to source plus the insane prices of them

I tried the new app and the first time I started the episode the audio started with a black screen and then the app completely crashed. When I retried a second time the episode did play. I can upload the server logs when I get home. However I do prefer the look and feel of the Android TV app so it would be great if that one could play these episodes as well.

Hello why there are 2 versions of Emby available: Android & Android TV? Which one should be considered on a TV Set with Google TV? Because i have installed Android TV version and the app adviced me to install Android version to benefit the most advanced features! Strange. Thanks

I get the reason, but the implementation is very poor. You have created more of an annoyance than was caused by the problem you were trying to fix. Give the thing time to load first!

Will this version (or later) be released on Google play or only as APK? Wonder as the latest version available on Play is 3.5.36 and that was released in may. How often do you release on Google play vs only as APK?

The "shuffle" button at the top right of the Albums page doesn't work for me.If I press it in the Songs page it shuffles the list. Clicking on a song in the Songs list crashes\closes the app. Playing albums works fine. Diagnostics sent at 07.25 BST 06.25 UTC

Issue does not happen on the other amazon app in the store just the classic firetv app. I have checked my android phone version and the web version also, these seem to work as expected just the fire tv app having issues Version 2.1.51a running on server 4.10.0.26

Issue is with both guide, with the mini playback guide and the main TV guide. If you change the date at the top of the guide forward a day or two, you can scroll through the days as usual, but the first day is limited when the guide first loads.

I keep getting cache file cleanup Failed, I went into the appdata (which is a pain) and to tried to cleanup the file or folder and delete it, but I can't delete it. I tried a ton of different ways to delete i, keep getting permission denied and the ownership of the files and folder was ????????? which I know is not good, because everthing else was emby. I am scrubbing the data but I am not sure what else to do. all the drives are healthy but will do an extended test later,

What login screen is giving you the error? Is it the emby connect login screen, or the login screen to your server?

2 questions both are related....... 1. Have not bought any hard drives in a year. WOW. Even remanufactured drives are twice what a good drive was. Non-standard suggestions for finding a deal? Which leads me to..... 2. Do you back up all your data? I currently have a CENMATE 8 bay external enclosure with 6 x 8TB, 1x18TB, 1x20TB. Plus have a duplicate box I keep offsite with a duplicate mirrored set. It's awful tempting to use those mirrored drives but I know 1 will crap out eventually.

I opened a thread in this subforum but I'm having issues with playback reporting in Emby. Cross posting here as well:

Please see attached logs. In this case I played a movie for about a minute before stopping playback. I did this to try and capture logs for reporting here. Earlier in the evening I was watching something else and the Emby Dashboard Activity reported a start / stop of playback immediately even though I watched the entire episode (~54 minutes). I've tried reconfiguring the plugin and rebooting the device. Neither has worked. I had to recreate some of the playlist and now it stops the playlist whenever I ask it next song. I noticed that in the "\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\data\userplaylists" that some of the playlist had "Party [playlist] - 1" in the folder names with the original not with the " - 1" in the folder name where the playlist was pointing to the m3u file. I was able to get it working again by disabling and reenabling the Alexa Emby skill. Hopefully this helps someone with the same issue.

@LukeIs there a reason as to why Emby currently doesn't support this?
