Hi, Can someone describe how does IPTV works on emby server on windows? (Specs win11, latest emby server, latest emby client from msstore, working m3u playlist) Is stream direct to source from m3u or proxied somehow? Many tv channels from my m3u requires local or special location so proxy|vpn can broke it If i open m3u on win11 (where emby server installed) stream works But in emby not Some channels infinite load and some show that region changed But how if server take ethernet connection directly from windows and with same settings (from my router) PS: Ive already try to clear all settings on router and reboot server few times. Right OK that's something we'll have to look at for .iso files. Thanks. -

I will revisit this when I have time to set up an IP address certificate, and will document the best I can, thanks :) -
@GrimReaper Please could you help check/confirm the following sequence, when you get a spare moment - no immediate hurry... Process Mode - ADD Tags Import Mode - REPLACE Tags Tag Method - RELEASETYPE Tag Method - Map specific RELEASETYPE... The RELEASETYPE is mapped successfully and overwrites what was there. But I think (I have tried a few times) this also deletes any existing ROONALBUMTAG tags as well. My General assumption - as you work down the steps is that the REPLACE function should only apply to the underlying tag group that is selected either RELEASETYPE or ROONALBUMTAG or CUSTOM, but not all three together. I also tried the reverse - REPLACE ROONALBUMTAG and then RELEASETYPE gets deleted. I may be doing something wrong, or this may be how it is currently configured to work. The GUI implies to me that only the one that is selected should be replaced. Am I interpreting correctly??? If possible, my preference would be to just replace the selected tag grouping. There is always CLEAR to reset everything. Thanks.

What is your library setting for this option? But really have no way of seeing what the api is returning without testing myself. -
Emby Theater Beta (Electron) on Raspberry Pi 5: Stuck at logo with infinite loading bar
hukt_own_fonikz replied to hukt_own_fonikz's topic in Linux & Raspberry Pi
Sorry, haven't checked back in a while. I installed via official Universal Installer. I then tried the same method with Raspberry Pi OS and I ran into some other issues, I can't remember anymore but on a Pi5 I could not get it to work. I ended up right back at LibreELEC with the Emby for Kodi addon, that still seems to be the easiest method of using Emby on a pi. -

Love this. Thank you for the work and effort, appreciated! -
Still catching up... Yes, so if I choose All Albums for an Artist, then I get all the options: The mapping 'tick' notification upon "Save" is useful. Here's something like a more real version that I'd be keeping for use and updating as necessary: Tried the export log file - no problems. Many of these enhancements seem very professional-grade now. Let me know if there is any other specific function update you want me to try that I may have missed? Otherwise, I'm going to start working through my "Top 100" Album Artists and see how things progress. Cheers!

ok thanks for that... I'm happy to try what you suggested to isolate whether the SSL cert is the issue. I'll stick to the store version then for now, i only tried the manual usb version s a troubleshooting measure anyway

If it's too much hassle, don't worry about that test. I'm not expecting it to fix the SSL connection, although it might allow plain http to work with the 'preferred' option set rather than completely disabling it. Either 2.2.8 or 2.3.4 should be fine. Neither will impact this issue, so just whichever you prefer. Just keep in mind that the USB version needs to be reinstalled with the latest version every month.

Has Anyone Integrated AI With Emby? Looking for Real-World Tools, Setups & Dev Plans

Hej der! For those i can't find i just use whisper, its free. But nice project. -
ok.. i'll try that, however it does mean a trip back to that location, as user won't be able to complete this. I did try a complete delete app and re-install already but didn't power off TV at wall also didn't go straight to http connection... for clarity the app store here in Aus is sitting at ver 2.2.8 but i have 2.3.4 on USB, which version do you want me to install ?
-
Thanks for clarifying. I agree, the timing seems a bit off, but I'm fairly sure that R46 certificate is the issue, and it is the same root signing certificate that was used in the other case. I have seen mixed results where the UI works and playback doesn't when there are SSL issues. I suspect there is some amount of caching going on in the TV. Before testing disabling SSL, this would be an interesting test. Fully uninstall the emby client Remove power from the tv for a few minutes Reinstall the app and connect to the plain http address I wonder what works and what doesn't after that.

I'm running into a frustrating combination of issues with the Official Emby Theater Raspberry Pi 4 image (Armbian). It seems to lack the necessary hardware acceleration stack, resulting in choppy playback and a missing playback Overlay. Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4B (8GB) Storage: SD Card (Class 10) (32GB) OS: Armbian (Custom build based on the Emby Theater .img) Client: Emby Theater (Official RPi4 .img) The Symptoms: Choppy Playback: Standard H.264 1080p videos stutter in a very noticeable way. Invisible UI Overlay: The "Now Playing" bar (controls, timeline, info) is completely invisible, though the video plays (albeit poorly). Audio: Passthrough freezes video. Troubleshooting & Findings: I performed some diagnostics to isolate the issue: Driver Status: lsmod confirms that bcm2835_codec and bcm2835_v4l2 are loaded. The kernel sees the hardware. FFmpeg Capabilities (apt install required) Running ffmpeg -hwaccels returns: vdpau, cuda, vaapi, drm, opencl MISSING: v4l2m2m (The critical Raspberry Pi hardware decoder backend). Configuration: Emby Hardware Acceleration is set to "Auto". /boot/firmware/config.txt: dtparam=i2c_arm, i2s, and spi are commented out. Audio output is set to "Auto" All audio codecs unchecked for passthrough. Packages: Attempted to install libraspberrypi-bin to get the missing userland libraries. Error: libc6 version mismatch. My Armbian base is too new for the pre-compiled Pi libraries. vcgencmd and rpi-firmware commands are not available. The Core Question: Is the Official Emby Theater image for RPi4 either: Built on an older OS version that is incompatible with current Armbian kernels/libc6. Missing the proprietary firmware blobs and libraspberrypi libraries entirely. Relying on a ffmpeg build that wasn't compiled with --enable-v4l2m2m. What I'm Looking For: Has anyone successfully patched the libc6 mismatch to get libraspberrypi working on a newer Armbian base? Is there a specific Armbian kernel version or config that enables v4l2m2m without needing the proprietary rpi-firmware package? Should I just abandon this image and switch to LibreELEC + Emby addon for a working experience? Is there an external player option that is reliable? Any insight on how to force v4l2m2m detection or fix the invisible overlay would be appreciated!
