Thanks for the report — two separate things going on here. Folder name prefix not being cleaned (4K-A+) The clean option is working, but it only strips `┃UK┃` / `|EN|` style pipe-bracket tags automatically. Plain dash-separated quality prefixes like `4K-A+ - Show Name` aren't covered by the automatic patterns yet. Workaround Go to Plugin Config → Settings → Name Cleaning, make sure cleaning is enabled, and add the prefix to the Remove Terms box (one per line): ``` 4K-A+ - ``` That will strip it from folder and file names on the next sync. Better automatic pattern matching for quality prefixes is on the list. --- Failed to save configuration" after changing the server URL A few questions to help track this down: 1. What Emby server version are you on and what version of plugin? 2. Can you open the browser console (F12 → Console tab) and share any errors that appear at the moment you hit Save? 3. Does the checkbox issue happen immediately when you type the new URL, or only after you save and the page reloads? On the "Xtream: Not configured" message — if sync was working after the URL change, the config 'is' saved correctly. That indicator just checks whether the URL and username fields are non-empty, so it may just need a full page reload to update.

So I've got other services running on port 8096, and would like to change the port Emby works on. It's running as an installed package on Synology. I've gone to the network settings, and changed the port there, but on the Dashboard, it still says LAN access is "http://192.168.7.101:8096". The WAN port reflects the change, but of course that will only work if I set up port forwarding on my router from the new port I entered to port 8096 on the Synology server, which doesn't really solve my problem. Is there a way to change port 8096 to something else ?

The problem has been that Samsung won't do a country addition at the same time there are app updates being tested. So, when one is being done the other is held up. Which is why Luke usually gathers all these country names over a period of time and submits them all at the same time.

I mean I guess I could add a selection to "hide watched" and then a selection of what user to take the status from. It's not ideal and need quite a lot of administration to set up for all users. It's absolutely possible, but only fits for a watchlist funtion. What i would like to do in that case is acually to create a separate "watchlist settings/menu" or something where you can manage this for all users. It's more job but would fit the direction I want to go with this plugin - to be a complete homescreen companion (at least thats my ambition). We also have to see what the Emby devs are planning and where the native functionality is going. Might have been, cant remember honestly. I'll se what i can do! Edit: Putting Claude on finding a soulution to this!

Can you show a screenshot? Ratings are shown by default in the Android TV app - unless you are looking at a folder which doesn't have a rating. Also, in the TV app there is a cog icon top right of each library view. Click it and set your default tab.

the imagetype needs to be base64 - this is possibly where you hit the problem ?

Only for Live TV: will accelerate channel switching, by having 'pre-probed' the video meta data of all channels.

I guess as I'm using dedicated Watchlists per user - then this is possible, but you are correct - with a shared playlist (being used as a Watchlist), this is going to be a problem. Better to filter it at the source - 100% agree. thanks !

I have been using the "Favourite" as a watchlist, and with the new homescreen we can give a row dedicated to favourites items. And i agree, why add episodes to a playlist? But your idéa seems great! Gonna be trying it myself aswell! I'll look into it. The problem I see is "whos unwatchaed status"? I beleve this needs to be a front end fix from Emby devs, when creating a "dynamic media" in home screen settings, the should be a selection to hide watched. @LukeIs this possible to implement? I belive this fits a lot more usecases. Thas my fault, was just playing around during testing and forgot to enter the correct number. The version you have installed is 2.3.1.0-beta. Thanks for reporting! It's kind of on the to-do list. I tried to get it working before but run into some trouble. So the quickest/easiest way was to create an upload function instead. Its still on my to do list but not at the top right now.

Hallo zusammen, Ich habe in diesem Forum sehr viel gelesen und gestöbert. Dabei habe ich herausgefunden, dass ich auch über DDNS Proxy VPN und so weiter Möglichkeiten habe. Ich habe in meinem Router nach DYNDNS geschaut und dieser unterstützt ein paar davon. Ich entschied mich für noip und habe mich dort angemeldet und diese Daten in meinem Router gespeichert. Nun muss ich mal ein zwei Tage probieren ob das funktioniert ?! Ich melde mich dan wieder LG Alex

Hallo zusammen Ich habe ein Problem mit der "Sortierung" / "Vorschläge" oder wie ihr das bezeichnet. Ich habe zu Beispiel diese Serie ... und als "Vorschläge" kommt immer irgendetwas, was nichts mit der Serie zu tun hat. Wenn zum Beispiel Hör mal wer da Hämmert , Immer wieder Jim ... angezeigt werden würde wäre ich zufrieden... aber ? Ich hoffe ihr versteht was ich meine? LG Alex

We've had a lot of issue with Opus audio with mixed results, so we removed the support for Direct Playing opus audio. This should be causing an audio conversion and HLS streaming, but the avi video format needs to be converted as it's not supported in HLS streaming, so it's falling back to a full transcode. It also looks like there are issues converting the video format which is probably causing the quality issues. Can you try disabling Hardware acceleration/decoders and test with software conversion? Since you are already doing a conversion when you download, could you try also transcoding the audio to aac at the same time?

Not sure if you had an enhancement list, but the ability to add a collection poster from a URL rather than a file would be great. The Kometa-team free image sets on github are vast and are used for the collections creations you see on lots of screen grabs. using the example below - this was from a previous script from another user which i still use to create the collections, but it would be great to sunset that and get it all done in this Plugin .. Was there a solution for this? I’m not even able to get the bold tag to be displayed in either .srt or .ass. I’m not sure what the default font is but would just prefer a bolder Ariel style font that has a bit more weight and visibility. This is using the Emby for Android app, not the Emby for Android TV app, on a Google TV. Thanks

That's correct, and I think we are saying the same thing. If a device (such as the shield) sends lossless audio into the TV via HDMI, then it can be passed out via HDMI/eARC without an issue, but an app on the TV cannot pass lossless audio out from the app on the TV via HDMI/eARC. Actually you will get nothing, the app/server must convert the audio to something compatible, which is generally AC3. By app in this statement, I meant an app on the TV, not the Shield Again, you are correct. In some cases, the video may need to be transcoded as well as the audio which will break DV. Regardless, these are limitation of the TV with regards to not allowing apps on the TV to support lossless audio, and it is a limitation of the DV format that it does not survive a transcoding process. If you want TrueHD and DV support, then absolutely the Shield is the right device.

This is one of the main reasons I stopped letting Emby manage my metadata and switched over to Tiny Media Manager. It's an extra step, but get WAY better results.

@soderlund91Just a FYI - the DLL code version is not matching your release notes (2.3.1.0) - thus your latest release is being shown as 2.3.19.0 (DLL + Details on Plugin Details)

I've not investigated it, but I suspect that the way it works is that once one metadata source has provided a list actors, subsequent sources are not checked to compare with it. I suppose an option to merge information from all metadata sources might help, but that would mean a lot more lookups, and maybe other logical problems I haven't thought of. Paul

You might also consider signing up to TVDB and adding this series (with both names) yourself - it's quite easy once you get the knack, though I admit it might get tedious doing it for every episode as they appear (this being a new show). Paul
